Alexander Pratt

Encore Player

Alexander is 16 years old and is relatively new to musical theater and is excited to participate in his second ever performance. Previously he has performed in All Together Now produced by GHVS, and he liked it so much he decided to sign up for Encore. He thanks God for the opportunity to participate in this show, and he thanks his family for their love and support. Alex would also like to thank Ms. Gabby, Ms. Shanley, and Ms. Carleigh for organizing this opportunity and he looks forward to working with them again.

Andrew Steiner

Andrew is a 12 year old and loves musical theater. His passion for theater started in fourth grade when he got the role of the Bishop in Shrek Jr. His favorite musical is Elf. Andrew has worked with Ms. Gabby in the past and hopes to work with her more in the future. He can’t wait to be perform with this wonderful cast. Brooke Toohey

Brooke is 14 years old and loves singing and acting. Her passion for theater started in sixth grade when she got an ensemble role in Frozen Jr. It grew with the moderator role in High School Musical Jr and Storyteller in Once on This Island Jr. Brooke enjoys working with Ms. Gabby and hopes to work with her more in the future. She can’t wait to be performing with this wonderful cast. She would like to thank her family and the cast and production staff of ENCORE!

Christiane Johnson

Christiane Johnson is a 14 year old who loves theater. She has been in various productions and has enjoyed every single one. Her interests also include playing sports, such as field hockey, and she is a black belt in Kendo. She can’t wait to see you at the show!

Ella is 13 years old and in 7th grade. She fell in love with musical theater in 3rd grade at her first show “ Princess and the Pea Jr.” She is thrilled to be a part of ENCORE!!

Ella Reyes

Ella is a 8th grader at Voorhees Middle School. She is so excited to be part of this production of ENCORE! She was part of the High School Musical cast last year and played Papa Ge in Once on This Island this past March with Miss Gabby at VMS. Ella would like to thank her mom and dad for all of their loving support. She wishes the best to all of her friends and hopes everyone breaks a leg.

Emma Margolis

Emma Margolis is a young performer who has been involved in theatre since the ripe age of five. After starring in the JCC’s production of “Imagination” as “Kid 8” she realized that the acting industry is something she’d like to be apart of for the rest of her life. Emma thanks everyone for coming out to see the extraordinary cast of “Encore!” “You will not be disappointed!” She says.

Evan Alena

Evan Alena is very excited to be part of this production of ENCORE! He has performed in a variety of cast, ensemble and vocalist roles in local theatre companies such as Voorhees Theatre Company, Voorhees Middle School Drama Club, Walnut Street Theatre and GHVS Players. Evan was cast as 'Jack' in the Junior Theatre Festival "Into the Woods" short for the Atlanta 2020 competition and was also a semi-finalist in the 2020 Hal Leonard Vocal Competition. He currently enjoys singing with the Select Chorale as a 10th grader at Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees, NJ. Evan would like to thank Ms. Gabby, Ms. Carleigh, Ms. Shanley, and all of his cast-mates for this great experience! Evan would also like to thank his family, friends and mentors for always supporting him!

Frankie Shih

Frankie is thrilled to be part of this year’s production of ENCORE! She’s always been invested in the performing arts. Frankie’s passion started when she played Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Charlie And The Chocolate Factory: The Musical. She’s incredibly thankful for the opportunity to perform. She would like to thank her family for supporting her love for musical theatre, her friends for cheering her on, and Miss Gabby and Miss Shanley for making it all happen.

Hailey Kao is a freshman at Eastern Regional Highschool. Hailey first started theater with Miss Gabby in sixth grade and participated in musicals throughout her three years of middle school. She is so excited to be preforming in ENCORE! Thanks to all of her cast mates, family, Miss Gabby, Miss Shanley, and everyone who has made this possible.

Idleanna is a 12 year old girl who loves musical theater. Ever since she did High School Musical Jr she wanted to get into more theater. She also played little ti moune in Once On This Island Jr and has been singing since she was 3. She cannot wait to do more with Miss Gabby in the future! Izzie Halim

Izzie is 15 years old and a freshman in high school, she is very excited to be apart of Encore with so many of her friends! When she is not preforming you will probably find her back stage with the stage crew or writing for her school newspaper. She has been apart of many other productions and cannot wait to see how amazing this one will turn out!

Jacob is a 13 year old who loves to entertain people. He started theater at summer camp production of In To The Woods ,and has stuck with it ever since. He’s so excited to be apart of this cast. He’s met a whole bunch of new friends through the GHVS program. He’s so thankful for the wonderful directors who made this show possible.

Jaslene Williams

Jaslene Williams is a 14 year old and loves musical theater. Jenna Baron

Jenna is in 13 years old, and loves musical theatre. Some of her past experiences include productions of High School Musical Jr., All Together Now!, and Once on This Island Jr. In addition, she has danced for 8 years. She is thrilled to take part in the production of the Encore Cabaret!

Jessica Pratt

Jessica Pratt is an 18 year old who loves musical theater and dancing. She has been performing in ballets since the age of twelve, but she has always had a love for the theater. She first started as a dance captain in the GHVS production "All Together Now!" She has also stared as Clara, the Sugarplum Fairy, and Chinese in "The Nutcracker" at South Jersey Ballet Theater. Jessica has worked with Ms. Gabby in the past and hopes to work with her, Ms. Shanley, and Miss Carleigh more in the future. She can't wait to be performing with this wonderful cast, and would like to thank her family, the cast, and the production staff of ENCORE!

Josh Martin

Josh has always had a dream of being on the stage no matter what it was for. Music, acting, stand-up comedy, you name it! Josh’s favorite musical is Dear Evan Hansen. He loves performing in Ms. Gabby’s shows and also loves the community. Josh is a professional Beat Saber player holding a few world records! He also has a successful YouTube channel named JohnieCanine with over 142,000 subscribers.

Lilah Kutikov

Lilah is 12 years old and performing has been a passion of hers from a very young age. She has loved being a part of the ENCORE cast and can’t wait for more shows. She thanks the whole cast, production staff, and her family.

Lily Sims

Lily is ecstatic to be returning to the GHVS Players stage!!! She has made so many friends while doing these productions, and hopes they continue! Outside of theater, Lily likes to bake, swim, and dance. Some previous roles Lily has played include Ronnette in Little Shop of Horrors, Vivian Kensington in Legally Blonde Jr., and Anna in Frozen Jr.. Lily wishes the cast of Encore! the best of luck!!!

Luke Hoffmaster

Luke is 15 years old and has been doing theatre for 6 years and counting. They have done several productions with this company and elsewhere. They are so glad to be back on the stage and are ready to entertain!

Maya Shull

Maya is a 14 years old and in 8th grade. Her passion for theater takes up a tremendous part of her life, and has been in many different shows. Her most recent being “Once On This Island Jr”, where she played the lead role “Ti Moune”. In her free time, Maya enjoys dancing, singing, reading, and creating art. She is very grateful to be a part of this incredibly talented cast, and hopes you enjoy the show!

Mia Schott

Mia is an 11 year old that loves to sing and act. Put them together and Mia is in her happy place. She is the youngest cast member and has learned so much from her older cast mates. Her passion for singing started when she was 5 when she would walk around the house and sing all the Disney movie soundtracks. At 10 She had a bit part in Moana Jr and then All Together Now and had so much fun. She has worked with Ms Gabby in the past and hopes to work with her more in the future. She can’t wait to be performing with this wonderful cast. She would like to thank her family and the cast and production staff of ENCORE!"

Michael Dowd

Michael is an avid singer and performer from New Jersey. He started theater in 6th grade and instantly fell in love with it. Two of his favorite musicals are aren’t and Pippin. Michael would like to thank Ms Gabby for this wonderful opportunity and wishes his fellow cast members good luck in this show!

Mya Glasofer

Mya Glasofer is 14 years old. She is so excited to be in this show, doing what she loves most. She most recently played Erzulie in Once on this Island at VMS. In her free time she likes dance, sing, and read. Mya would like to thank the cast and crew for helping to put on an amazing show, and to her family and friends for always supporting her!

Olivia Young

Olivia is 13 years old and loves doing the performing arts. Whether it’s musicals, plays, or choir. Her love for it started in third grade when she watched her friends in a show. Olivia’s last show that she was in was “Once On This Island” playing the role of Mama Euralie which she also did with Ms Gabby at VMS. She can’t wait to be performing again and wants to thank the cast and directors for all the hard work they’ve put into this production of ENCORE!!

Samantha Lawrence

Samantha Lawrence has been singing and performing on stages since she was three years old. She loves musical theater and being part of shows with GHVS Players. Sam has been studying voice with Ms. Gabby for several years and credits Ms. Gabby’s lessons with providing a source of creative light throughout the pandemic. Sam’s favorite role was playing Gabriella Montez in her camp’s production of High School Musical Jr. and she enjoyed her first performance on the Voorhees Middle School stage this year. Sam also loves to play the piano and tap dance, and she is excited to add singing with a rock band to her experience! Sam gives thanks to her family and friends and to the cast and production staff of ENCORE!

Sierra Jenkins

Sierra is 13 years old and loves musical theater and the performing arts. When she was 5 years old, she started dancing, and ever since then, her passion for performing hasn’t stopped growing. Her favorite musical is Waitress. Sierra has worked with Ms. Gabby in the past, and she is so excited to work with her more in the future. She cannot wait to put on a great show with this amazing cast. She would like to thank her family, fellow cast mates, and the production staff of ENCORE!

Sofia Rohanna

Sofia Rohanna is so excited to be in the production of Encore! She is 13 years old and in 8th grade at CRMS in Washington Twp. This is Sofia’s 2nd performance with GHVS players. She was in the South Jersey Chorus the past 2 years as well as chorus and Vocalise, a select choir at school. When Sofia isn’t singing you can catch her performing on the cheer mat. She is a competitive all star cheerleader for South Jersey Storm. She just finished her 9th season. She would like to thank Ms. Gabby, Ms. Shanley, Ms. Carleigh, and the whole cast for a great season! Sending a big thank you to Mom, Dad, Paulie, her grandparents and all her family and friends for supporting her!

Taylor Cataldo

Taylor is 14 years old and is excited to be in her first ever GVHS production, Taylor has always had a love of the stage through dancing but she first found her love of theater in 5th grade after participating in Aladdin Jr. Taylor would like to thank everyone who made this show possible and all the people she has met that made her feel welcome. She wishes the best of luck to the entire cast of ENCORE!

Veronica James

Encore Player & Student Choreographer

Veronica is an 8th grade student at Voorhees Middle School. She is so thrilled to be participating in yet another GHVS Players production. Veronica has been performing since the age of 6. Her favorite role was TiMoune in Once of This Island, Jr. She also works as a professional party performer portraying Princess Tiana, Moana, Mirabel and Isabelle from Encanto. She loves being on stage and creating magic for every performance. She is thrilled to have the opportunity not only to sing, but to showcase some tap skills in this production. Huge thanks to Miss Gabby who has been such a positive role model and cheerleader not only for this show, but over the past three years. Thank you for the continued opportunity to try my hand at choreographing too! Shout out to all her fellow Encore Players, ex-wives, fellow murderesses, and revolting children.

Gabrielle Horvitz

Director & Vocal Director

Gabrielle Horvitz is a South Jersey native with a big dream for opening a performing arts school.  She graduated with a B.M. in Classical Vocal Performance from Temple University and has performed with the Temple University Opera Department productions with the Boyer School of Music. She is the owner and main private voice teacher of Gabrielle Horvitz Voice Studio LLC and GHVS Players . As a private voice teacher she teaches young performers Musical Theater, Classical Voice and contemporary pop. Gabrielle directs and vocal directs musicals over the east coast. She is a resident of West Berlin and is an alumnus of the VTC, VMS Drama Club, Eastern High School and their theater departments. She is a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). GHVS Players was created through the pandemic as a way to keep the arts alive starting with 1 Live performance, 3 virtual productions and 2 hybrid backyard productions. She is thrilled to make her dream her reality! She wants to thank Voorhees Township, the Voorhees Town Center, her family, her cast and their family for all the help and hard work they have put into this production and hopefully many more to come!

Carleigh Moos

Choreographer

Carleigh began dancing at age three and has done it ever since. She has trained at various dance studios in New Jersey and New York. Carleigh has trained at The Institute of American Musical Theatre: Broadway Bootcamp, Anthony Burrell’s: Breaking Barriers, and currently Spotlight Performing Arts Center. When not choreographing, she spends her days at the dance studio as well as being Dance Captain and Student Choreographer for Eastern Regional High School. Carleigh has won various high scores and performance awards at Regional and National dance competitions. She has been cast in roles such as Cassie (A Chorus Line), Lina LaMount (Singin’ in The Rain), Heather McNamara (Heathers), Race (Newsies), and Rafiki (The Lion King). After graduating high school in June, Carleigh is attending The Institute of American Theatre in New York City to pursue her career as a performer.

Shanley Horvitz

Assistant Director

Shanley Horvitz teaches voice, acting and audition masterclasses through her own private home studio and has produced musical theater productions over the past 6 years throughout the Central and South Jersey area. Her experience with teaching children along with adults stems from her background in professional performing and degree in Vocal Performance and Opera. Starting from her roots in South Jersey, Shanley started performing and working for the Voorhees Theater Company from performing and working as a junior board member to contribute her passion for the arts in her community. She began studying classical music at a young age and always felt a strong affinity towards opera. By the age of thirteen she was the winner for the South Jersey teen arts festival where she first debuted herself as a classical singer. Her drive to compete only grew from there and followed by competing in solo and choral competitions throughout her youth and young adulthood. She was awarded as a NJ state teen art finalist 2008-2010 winner of her division 2008 as a Jr. Artist and 2010 in the Young adult division, Classical Singer's East Coast finalist 2009, and semi finalist 2010, and Paper Mill risingstar in 2011. Since 2017 Shanley has taken her studies internationally studying opera in Genova Italy, recently she was seen as the title role in Vincero Academy’s Carmen, and was a Semi finalist in Opera Viterbo, and given the lead mezzo soprano role in their next production of Puccini’s Madame Butterfly. Over the past year, Horvitz has received numerous awards in singing competitions including First Place at the Orpheus Vocal Competition (2022), Houston Gilbert & Sullivan Career Grant Competition (2022), Mario Lanza Institute Competition in Philadelphia (2021), and Vienna Summer Musical Festival. Other accolades include Second Place at the Pasadena Vocal Competition (2022) and the Encouragement Award for the Metropolitan Opera National Council Laffont Competition at the Pittsburgh District.
