Biographies
Maddie Breske is so excited to be involved in her first ever show at MST! She is a recent graduate of the University of Delaware where she majored in English and performed with the Harrington Theatre Arts Company in shows such as Mamma Mia! (Rosie), Spring Awakening (Martha), and 9 to 5: The Musical(Violet). She is so grateful to be making theatre again after a very eventful hiatus. She’d also like to thank Andrew and her castmates for being so welcoming. Enjoy!
Casey Brogan is very excited to be returning to MST. Casey previously starred in MST's production of Anything Goes (Quartet Sailors). Casey is currently in his sophomore year of being an Acting (BFA) major at Towson University. Casey wants to thank his friends and family for their constant love and support. He thanks his fellow cast and crew for such a fun and exciting experience. He is very proud of what his cast and crew have created in such a short amount of time, and he hopes you all enjoy the show.
Dann Combs is excited to be stretching his directing muscles with Sure Thing. Previously, Dann has directed Frozen Jr. and choreographed The Wizard of Oz. He has been working at Milburn Stone Theatre since 2014, and for the last 4 years has been the General Manager. Dann comes to the theatre with a background in dance having danced at Cecil Dancenter & with the performing company Cecil Dance Theatre. He would like to give a special thank you to Brandon & Bevin who made the process so easy and fun, you both did a phenomenal job. Thank you to all the people who support me Dane, My Parents, Mommom, Shelly, Ashley, & Chris Ann.
Bevin Gorin has been grateful for the opportunity to step on stage again, this time with her husband alongside her in Sure Thing. Previously at MST she has been seen in Chess, Sondheim on Sondheim, Spring Awakening among others. Thank you Dann for trusting us with this and what a pleasure it was. For Brandon and my parents, with love.
Phil Hansel is delighted that community theater is adapting, as it always has, and continuing on! He has played many roles over the years in Scrooge (Bob Cratchit), 1776 (McNair), Carrie (Mr. Stephens), Night of the Living Dead (The Shoe Ghoul), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Senex), Farragut North (Tom Duffy) and many others. He is grateful to once again be working with such a talented cast, director, and crew. He is also very grateful to folks like you (yes YOU!) who continue to support community theater. Thanks very much, and enjoy the show!
Kate Holden is thrilled to be participating in this virtual MST production! Kate’s first MST production was The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Ensemble). Kate was also a part of MST’s The Tsar and Tsaritsa (Young Xenia) podcast. She minored in Theatre Performance at the University of Delaware where she was an actor for the Healthcare Theatre program and an actor, director, and writer for The Student Television Network. Outside of theatre, she has competed nationally as a swing dancer and choreographer and helps run the Jazz Attack dance organization. Kate would like to thank her family who has been enjoying her performances since she was 14.
Emily McAllister is thrilled to be back on stage with MST! Previously, she has worked behind the scenes and on stage in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (Stage Manager, Assistant Director) and Peter and the Starcatcher (Stage Manager), and 12 Angry Jurors (Juror 2). Emily is grateful to the wonderful MST staff for the opportunity, and to her family and friends for their continued support, and to the cast and crew for their dedication and hard work on the show. She hopes you enjoy The Philadelphia as much as she does!
Bethany Miller is thrilled to be back at MST after her 2019 appearance in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (Judy). She holds a BA in Theatre from Messiah College and has performed in a variety of area theaters since moving to Northern Delaware in 2011. Recent and notable credits include: Rumors (Chris Gorman, WDL), An Ideal Husband (Lady Gertrude Chiltern, WDL), Godspell (Celisse, WDL), The 39 Steps (Clown, Chapel Street Players), and Every Time a Bell Rings… (Mary Thatcher, Bootless Stageworks). In 2015, she originated the role of Casey in the world premiere of Campus Chatter: The Musical and, in 2019, she performed the role of Miri in both the Newark, DE and Phoenix, AZ workshop presentations of Shanghai Sonatas. She would like to thank Andrew for giving her the opportunity to play two very different characters and Keith, Judah, Kylan, and Sariya for their unwavering support and encouragement.
Josh O’Donnell is thrilled to return to the MST stage (online) for the fourth time after recently appearing in Chicago (Fred Casely). Other recent credits include American Pyscho (Patrick Bateman), Dogfight (Eddie Birdlace), and Mamma Mia (Pepper). It is such an honor to return to stage and be able to do theatre during these trying times, and he hopes you enjoy the production!
Gina Olkowski has felt a much-needed sense of calm about being in live rehearsals after nearly 15 months. This quirky play reminds her of similar lines she had in Twelve Angry Jurors, the opening line in an independent movie she did, and a classic line from a family favorite movie she watched as a child. The sum of these parts is definitely greater than the whole. All involve the family and friends who make up our being. And Gina is thankful and blessed to have weathered the last year with them.
