Directors Notes:

When I started this job at the beginning of the year, I knew that Theater as we know it had to be transformed. We had to rethink movements on stage, scene transitions, technical areas, and so much more to put on a performance. After careful consideration, I knew that online Theater was the closest we could get to put on a show of this magnitude. Our students recognized this challenge. They rose above and beyond to make this show successful. For that, I want to thank them. I also want to thank our coaches who rose above expectations to help our talented crew. The fact that we could come together in troubling times makes my heart swell.

Clue, for many different reasons, echos themes that are eerily close to modern time. Misinformation, accusations, and skepticism are all highlighted in this production.  It exemplifies two important questions: (1) Can you trust the strangers among you? And (2) How far would you go to fix your reputation? Each character tries to answer these questions through lying, deceiving, and cheating. Clue keeps you guessing until the very end, which makes it a classic for years to come.

To close, I would like to sincerely thank my family and friends for supporting me. My first year as a teacher wouldn’t have been the same without you.

Enjoy the show!
