Meet the Company
This is the first theatre performance Kiara Akbar will perform in. She was in Ms. Bon’s Introduction To Theatre class for her freshman year and is now in the Intermediate Theatre class. She is excited to perform as “Maya” in the play “I Don’t Want To Talk About It”. Her interests include music, childcare, volleyball and more. She can’t wait to continue theatre at Long Beach Poly High School.

Jaden Alexius (Brett/Logan)
This will be Jaden's 3rd stage appearance in the play "I Don't Want To Talk About It" playing as Brett and Logan. He has played characters such as Chett Larsen in a student made play and has played Thelonious The Executioner in the Musical "Shrek: The Musical". Would like to thank his mom Mayra, his dad Erick, and sister Jasmine for support this passion he truly loves.

I Don’t Want To Talk About It will be Gio’s third LBP production stage appearance. Having been cast as the lead, Kyle, Gio is a little scared he will blank out on stage and forget one of his lines. . . but hopefully his experience being on the award winning Polyesters improv team will get him through the show in the case he does have a brain fart and is left to improvise. Gio has found the drama community to be overwhelmingly hospitable and warm and has found himself at home. Theater, our shelter for smiles, can’t help but provide a future of fun (and stress) and Gio can’t wait to see what awaits.
Dana Castellanos-Martínez is currently a senior at Polytechnic High School. She has been involved with theatre from the beginning of her junior year, helping with makeup during the Shrek the musical production. “I Don’t Want To Talk About It” is her first production where she actually has a role inside the story. Dana is excited to play Samantha’s mom and hopes you enjoy this beautiful and valuable play.

My Name is Elijah Farmer in my free time. I like to box/mma and play lacrosse and work out. I have theater experience from drama class polyesters best improv group and when I play a mob boss at poly production last year and I’m planning on doing more.

Lizette Fentanes (Philipa)

In “I Don’t Want To Talk About It,” Liz Heng is now a Drive Thru employee. Liz Heng has contributed ideas to the play “The 12 Huntsman” for which she served as stage manager. Having conversations with and getting to know the most wonderful people has to be one of her proudest experiences. She enjoys socializing with new people.

Parker Johnston will be playing Jake in “I don’t want to talk about it.” This is not his first role though. No, no, no, his youth was filled with acting. He was a mouse in Shrek once, he was an antonym in another play, and more. He is just happy to be working with such an amazing group of people.

This will be Declan’s third’s production for polys theater department. He was part of the Roleabout winning improv quartet. He was also a servant in The 12 Huntsman. In the same play he understudied the role of Jacob and got to perform one night. He is thrilled to be a part of the Poly drama department and can’t wait for what is to come.
This will be Aaya Mclyn’s 1st production with LBpolydrama. In elementary school she stared as the lead roll in Annie the musical. Aaya plays on the girls varsity soccer team for poly and is the QB,WR, &RB for the poly girls flag football team. Aaya has enjoyed the LBpoly Drama experience and loved marking new friends and learning new things.

Bianca is a 15-year-old student in tenth-grade PACE. She has been in Long Beach Poly Drama for two years, participating in many in-class performances. In Freshman year, Bianca won 2nd place in the Poetry Slam held at the poly playhouse. LBPoly Drama offers a trusting community and friendships that is impossible to feel nervous standing up on the stage. Thank you to the intermediate class and Ms.Bon for directing this play.
Dashiell McFarr is making his third stage appearance with I Don’t Want to Talk About It, as Priest and Idea. He has been in the student written play “A Man Walks Into a Bar” as Boss and The Twelve Huntsman, (Understudy for Prince, Old Man/Prince, and Servant of the Court). He is excited for this play and has loved working with everyone in it. Make sure to catch him in Chicago as Fred Casely!
Alina is proud to perform as Rayna in “I don’t wanna talk about it”. Previous performances/roles includes Ms. White in Clue:On Stage(ActOutLB), Amelia in Poly Productions(LBPoly Drama), Shrek the Musical(Ensemble). Alina is a part of the Intermediate Drama Class and loves to act, as well as reading manga and web comics in her free time. Thanks to all that have been supportive throughout the school year.

This is Keyara’s second year in theatre arts at Long Beach Poly. “I Don’t Want to Talk About it” will be her second class play. The first she participated in was “Gold Dust or Bust” as the lead role, Louisa.
Shila Regalado is in her first theater show at Poly. Her favorite musicals are West Side Story and In The Heights. Shila enjoys fashion and creating new things. Her favorite thing about theater is the supportive people and the environment. Thank you to Mom, grandma, suani , Jacob and great grandma.

Tarynn is a 15 year old African American female. She is in a relationship with a not named Matt. She has to force herself to love him because she is pregnant. Throughout her time in the play she goes through denial and just all the feelings that would be had in that situation.

In “I Don’t Want To Talk About It” Chloe Williams,plays Carley.This is her first production at Poly High school and first in general.Chloe is in her second year of LBPolyDrama and absolutely adores it and she can’t wait to continue through the rest of high school!!She loves music,songwriting and really all things artsy.Being in this production has brought her the experience she needs and she has built great relationships along the way.She thanks her Best Friend Pearce Robinson for always believing and supporting her.
