Meet the Company
Gracie joined Melodies from our very first class in 2012, when she was just 4 years old, so has been with us for our full 14 years and leaves us this year for Uni. Leaving our lovely Bronte as the only original Melodies girl! End of an era.
She started one-to-one singing lessons in 2018.
Esme joined Melodies as a one-to-one singing student in January 2024.
She is also a class assistant for our infants class.
Lucy joined Melodies as a one-to-one singing student in September 2024.
She is also a classroom assistant for our infants class.
Amelie joined Melodies classes in 2016, so has officially made it 10 years!
She also started one-to-one singing lessons in 2019
Georgia joined Melodies in March 2018 for our production of Alice of Wonderland.
She started singing lessons in 2025
Olivia joined our group classes in September 2024.
She also recently started one to one singing lessons.
Scarlett joined Melodies in 2017 and started singing lessons in January 2024.
She is leaving us this year for Military college and she will be missed!
Lillie joined us in our Ballet tots class in April 2014, when she was just 4 (and an adorable unicorn) making it 12 years and counting.
She added one-to-one singing lessons in January 2020.
Isobelle is one of Melodie's newest students, joining us this academic year. So this is her first production with us. Hope you have a blast Izzy!
Evie joined us in September 2018, making her first production "A little less Education". She then started singing lessons in September 2021.
Renee joined Melodies in September 2017. Her first show was Alice in Wonderland (as a very cute flower).
She has been doing singing lessons since January 2020.
Daisy joined Melodies when we reopened after restrictions in September 2020?? and was fabulous pirate in our production of Peter Pan. She then began singing lessons in October 2023.
Noah first joined us in 2016 with his big sister, he left us for a few years to play football, but he came back to play a fabulous Tin Man 2 years ago, so we forgive him! <3
Freddie's big sister was in the very first Melodies class and he was always dancing along in the audience. As soon as he was old enough, in September 2017, he joined us too. He added singing lessons in November 2023.
Liam originally joined our drama class in 2018. When we didnt restart that class after Lock Down, he joined our Musical Theatre class with his big sister instead.
Olivia is one of our newest students and this is her first production with us. We are very happy to have her.
Freya joined Melodies senior class 3 years ago, with her first production being our 10 Year Anniversary Showcase.
Alfie C joined us 4 years ago, for his first role as a Lost Boy in our production of Peter Pan
Jessica is another of our newest seniors for whom this is her first Production with us. Have fun Jess!
Cerys also joined us this academic year for both our senior class and singing lessons. Enjoy your first show Cerys.
Lola joined our Thursday classes four years ago and then moved to our Saturday class in 2022. She has also had one-to-one lessons since October 2023.
Willow also started in our Thursday class, in 2023, moving to Saturdays the following year.
Ayla has been with us for 2 years, moving into out senior class this year.
Neela joined us at Melodies last year for our Production of Matilda.
Eleanor started in our Thursday class in 2022, joining us for Peter Pan. She then moved to our Saturday class in September 2023.
Sophia has been with us for 3 years starting with our 10 Year Anniversary Celebration Show.
Freya joined us 5 years ago as one of our little pirates in our production of Peter Pan.
Gracie is another of our lovely juniors who joined us 3 years ago for our 10 Year Anniversary Show.
This is Alfie's second year with us and he has survived a whole year as the only boy in our junior class! High five Alfie.
Lilly joined Melodies last January, with Matilda as her first production.
Tilly-Ann is one of our newest juniors, who just joined in February this year. Have a great first show Tilly!
Lara has been with Melodies for 4 years and last year at just 7yrs old she stepped in to the part of Lavender in Matilda, just 6 weeks before the show! You will go far Lara.
Frankie joined our junior class this year, so this is her first production with us. We hope you have a great time Frankie.
Violet joined us 2 year ago for Wizard of Oz, and is our youngest solo singer today.
Narla joined our junior class this year, so this her first production with us. Break a leg Narla.
Layla is Cate's youngest one-to-one singing student. She started lessons this January and this is her first show! You will be great Layla!
Lucy joined our mini's when she was almost 4, for our 10 Year Anniversary Show, making this her 4th End of year show.
Leona is one of our newest students having joined us in April this year. She has fitted straight in. Good Luck with your first Melodies show Leona.
Isobel joined Melodies last year for our production of Matilda. So this is her second big show with us.
Maggie joined us 3 years ago in our mini's class, before being bumped up to our infants class for The Wizard of Oz, cos we had way too many 4 & 5 year olds that year!
Harper-Mai joined us in March this year with her big sister, so this is her first show with us! Have fun Harper!
Mya joins us 3 years ago, aged just 3, after having to watch her big sisters and wait for a year!
D'Lilah joined us in January this year, so this is her first big show. You will be fabulous D'lilah!
Emma Joined us in November this year, so it is also her first show. Good Luck Emma!
Sofia joined our ballet tots class aged 3, so this is her 5th show with us, despite being only 7!
Darcey joined our infants class in January this year, as is related to Miss Cate, so we are gonna say it's in the genes! Enjoy your first show with Melodies Darcey.
Leona joined us last January, but didn't feel ready to join us on the big stage then, so we are wishing her lots of luck today! You will be fabulous Leona. x
Aurora joined us 3 years ago for our 10 year anniversary show, aged 3. So is now on her 4th show with us!
Ezme watched her big sister in shows her whole life before joining our ballet tots 3 years ago. <3
Lillian joined us in our mini class for Matilda, after watching her big sister in The Wizard of Oz the year before.
Evie was in our ballet tots class for Matilda last year and has now moved into our minis class this year
Arthur is one of our newest minis, having joined us in January this year. Have an amazing first show Arthur!
Vera is another of our little ones who has watched big sis in our shows her whole life, She joined our ballet tots last year for Matilda.
Polly joined our mini's class this year, and as an an August baby, she is our littlest mini, aged just 3. Good Luck with your first big show Polly!
Ruby is one of our littlest performers today, aged just 3. She joined us in September. We hope you love your first show ruby.
Maisie joined in May last year and went on stage for Matilda just 2 months later. She's is the youngest performer in our show today. Good Luck Maisie
Cate began singing in her school choir age 10 and it was love at first solo! She went on to sing in her senior school choir, winning competitions, performing at weddings and touring in Spain. She completed A-levels in Music and Dance before going on to train full time in Musical Theatre for 3 years, at The Voice School London, run by renowned Vocal Coach Vicci Mitchell-Luker. From the 2nd year of her training, Cate began to teach the junior department of the school, teaching singing and drama to children aged 4-10 years, in after school classes and workshops during the school holidays. On graduating from the Voice School she also began teaching at Steps Ahead Dance School, ran by Jill Osborn, again teaching singing and drama, as well as beginners modern and tap (ages 4-6). Cate continued these teaching jobs until she landed her first professional performing job in 2005. She went on to perform as a professional Singer/Actress/Dancer for the next 8 years, before setting up Melodies in 2012
Siobhan started dance classes as a toddler and had her first experience of performing at the age of 5 and there hasn't been a year since, that she hasnt found herself performing somewhere in the world! She has trained in many dance styles over the years and had the opportunity to perform in a variety of settings across the UK - from being a backing dancer in local musicals to a soloist at the Royal Albert Hall, and even achieving a World Record with the cast of Riverdance on live TV! As well as performing, Siobhan has also taken her NATD examinations in Ballet and Tap to Associate level and achieved one of the top 5 results in the country for Contemporary Dance at GSCE level. She also competed internationally as an Irish Dancer for 15 years, achieving European and World Champion titles as a soloist and team dancer. After earning a BA Hons in Dance at DeMontford University she returned home to focus on teaching and production. More recently, Siobhan has had the opportunity to put the technical parts of her degree to good use by assisting in the staging and projection of several local shows, and is pleased to bring this experience to Melodies Productions! Siobhan started working at Melodies in 2019
Amara studied Musical Theatre at Blackpool School of Creative arts, where she received a first class degree. Whilst there she performed in many musicals like Sweeney Todd, Company and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Using this degree she flew out to China to begin teaching English as a Second Language using drama. She became the lead English Teacher for Dream English Drama and whilst she was there, directed the students in many productions including "The Great Race" the story of the Chinese zodiac, which she wrote and co-directed. This was performed for Sichuan national television. Amara has worked for Melodies Theatre Academy on and off since 2014, first as an assistant and eventually becoming the drama teacher. She has picked up and interest and love for Drama Therapy, using the arts for therapeutic means, to better the mental health of young people, which she continues to work towards in her professional life.
