Now, in Queens, Sophie is the character Jane Seymour and the head of the prop crew for both shows. Sophie said, “Being a cast member for the first time in high school is a thrilling experience full of hard work and dedication. You have to really connect with the characters you are portraying and find them on a deeper level in your soul to feel their story. All of the emotions they felt during their lives have been passed down and shared with me when I am on stage. It is truly a magical experience.”

As co-moderator, she rides in the front of the bus for trips to state and international competitions, helps write programs and applications, and helps troubleshoot for KJS. As dramaturg, she pulls historical references, pronunciations, and other obscure facts to help the actors understand their characters. It's never dull in the PAC! She thanks her daughter for making her a backstage mom, Kristi Jacobs-Stanley for letting her hang out, and her husband Mark for understanding that sometimes the kids come first. Enjoy the show!
