Meet the Company
Mckenzie is excited to be making her debut with Cockpit in Court as Matilda! Previous roles include: Fletcher in Freaky Friday with the Maryland Theater Collective, Matilda in Matilda the Musical with Charm City Players, Rafiki in the Lion King Jr., and Maleficent in Descendants. In the spring, she won 1st place in the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition Youth Musical Theater category. In the fall, she will be playing the Little Boy (Edgar) in Ragtime with the Maryland Theater Collective. She will be a 7th grader at St. Joseph’s School in the fall. She dances with The Moving Company, attends singing lessons at The Peabody Institute, and has performed with Children’s Chorus of Maryland. She would like to thank her family for supporting her dreams! She would also like to thank the directors, cast, and crew for such a wonderful experience!
Colton is excited to bring this character to life on stage, but fun fact…he doesn’t like chocolate cake! This is his 18th performance in a musical. His favorite previous roles include Tiny Tim in Scrooge at CPM, Les in Newsies at BTCT, and Annas in Jesus Christ Superstar at CPM. When he’s not performing in musicals, Colton loves playing the drums, attending NASCAR and NHRA races, puppeteering and gaming.
Gracie is so excited to be a part of this show! She is a rising 9th grader and will be in the acting prime at Carver Center for the Arts. She has been acting since the age of 7 and this will mark her 24th production overall. Some of her favorite previous roles include Jane in Descendants, Chutney in Legally Blonde Jr, Young Anna in Frozen Jr, Susan Walker in Miracle on 34th Street, and Young Kangaroo in Seussical Jr. Enjoy the show!
Ronald is excited to work with Cockpit in Court for the first time. Some of his favorite roles elsewhere have been Hans in Frozen Kids, Donkey in Shrek Jr., Sir Harry in Once Upon a Mattress – Youth Edition, and Mowgli in Jungle Book Kids. Ronald will be in third grade at Hickory Elementary this fall. He would like to thank Ms. Liz, Ms. Patty, Ms. Rachel, and Ms. Donna for all of their help and encouragement!
Caroline is delighted to be in her first show at Cockpit in Court! You may have seen her in Descendants or Cinderella Jr. at CPM. Like her older siblings, Caroline loves to perform! In her spare time she likes to play with her friends, draw pictures and play with legos. She also enjoys playing soccer, swim team, and lacrosse. Caroline would like to thank her family for being so supportive!
Selena is honored to make her stage debut with Cockpit in the Court. Selena has performed with Children’s Playhouse of Maryland as Ensemble in Cinderella, Youth Edition, and Columbia Center for Theatrical Arts as the Witch in Into the Woods, Jr. Selena participates in the festival choir at Arbutus Middle. Selena would like to thank Ms. Liz, Ms. Patty, and Ms. Rachel for this opportunity and her family for their constant and continued support. She hopes to do many more shows with Cockpit in Court and to have as much fun with them as she has had doing this one. Enjoy the show.
Noah is delighted to be in his first show with Cockpit in Court! You might have seen him previously as young Cologero in A Bronx Tale at Dundalk Community Theater, or Descendants and Cinderella Jr. at CPM, or in A Christmas Story, Willy Wonka, and Wizard of Oz at CCP. In his free time, Noah loves to be creative by performing magic, coding, swimming, or building things. Noah would like to thank his family for supporting him throughout the process of making this show so wonderful.
A rising 7th grader at Dumbarton Middle School, Wren loves creating digital art, writing, playing DND, and singing—and is excited about this Cockpit in Court debut! Wren would like to thank the parents for their support, the Andersons for the rides, and Ms. Liz, Ms. Patty, Ms. Donna, and Ms. Rachel for this awesome opportunity! Wren previously performed in the ensemble for Children's Playhouse of Maryland's Cinderella, and in many roles during four years with the Three Ring Theater.
Lilah is so excited to be in Matilda Jr. This is her 17th production. When she’s not performing she loves playing field hockey, dancing and baking. She will be attending Notre Dame Prep in the fall for 9th grade. She would like to thank Ms. Liz and Rachel for all of their guidance and support. Enjoy the show!
Clover can't wait to play headmistress, Agatha Trunchbull in Matilda Jr. Besides this evil, nasty headmistress Clover has Played: Caiphas from Jesus Christ Superstar, Jafar from Descendants (and was an impromptu understudy for Maleficent) Ms. Darbus from High School Musical, Greylag from Honk Jr. , The Store Manager from Legally Blonde Jr., The Mayor of Bikini Bottom from SpongeBob: The Musical, an ancestor from Moana Jr., and many other roles! When she isn't on stage, she enjoys cosplaying and programming. Now that she had officially graduated from Chesapeake High School, she plans on going to CCBC and then transferring to Towson to focus on both programming and acting! She'd also like to thank her Mother Latanya Waller for always being her backbone and always encouraging her to follow her dreams!

Linda is excited to be in her first Cockpit in Court show! She's no stranger to this stage as she's performed in CPM's latest season. She'll be off to McDaniel College this fall with a full ride to pursue a double major in Education and Theatre Arts with a minor of Musical Theatre Performance. Her favorite roles include; Dorothy Brock (42nd Street at CPM), Maleficent (Descendants at CPM), Deloris Van Cartier/Michelle (Sister Act at Suburban Players) and Sally/Charon/Silena (The Lighting Thief at ASOB). Natalie is a high school student in the visual arts program at the Carver Center in Towson. This is Natalie's first performance with Cockpit in Court. Previously, she participated in CPM's summer workshop production of School House Rock Jr. Natalie also performed the role of Ursula in CCC's production of The Little Mermaid Jr. She also appeared in Perry Hall Middle School's productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and as Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family. Natalie has performed with the Blakefield Players at Loyola High School with roles in Guys and Dolls, The Diviners, and Shrek. Natalie dances at Upper Falls Dance Studio in Kingsville. Natalie would like to thank the production staff and cast of Matilda Jr for this summer theatre experience!
Kaitlyn is very excited to make her debut at Cockpit in Court this summer as Ms. Phelps in Matilda Jr. This her fifth show under the direction of Liz Boyer Hunnicutt. Kaitlyn is honored that Ms. Liz gave her this opportunity in a principal role. Kaitlyn has been part of the ensemble in following shows: 42nd Street, Disney’s Descendants the Musical and Cinderella. She was also part of the tech crew in Jesus Christ Superstar. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Pablo is excited to make his debut at Cockpit in Court! He has done shows at CPM with some of his favorite being Sundeep in Legally Blonde, Maurice in Descendants, and Elvis Presley in Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. Pablo would like to thank Mrs. Liz and Mrs. Donna for this amazing opportunity to play the hilarious role of Micheal Wormwood. Daniela has been performing with Cockpit in Court and CPM since she was 5. Her favorite musicals have been 42nd Street Youth Edition and Jesus Christ Superstar. Most recently, she was in JCS as a woman. She dances at the Moving Company Dance Center and is a member of one of their performing and competition ensembles, Star Power.

Lily is so excited for her first musical production at Cockpit in Court! Her previous experience includes Descendants, The Wizard of Oz (munchkin/flying monkey), Annie (young orphan), Elf (elf/city ensemble), Willy Wonka (featured oompa loompa), and A Christmas Story (school kids/ensemble) at CCP. When she’s not on stage, Lily can be found on the softball field, usually pitching or catching. Lily would like to thank her parents for showing lots of support throughout the process. Lily is having so much fun and is looking forward to making friends at Cockpit in Court for many years to come!
Being newer to acting, she is excited for her first Cockpit in Court production, some past roles include-Carver Theater Company: Fame (Ensemble Dancer); Dance & BMore: Voices of Carmen (Frasquita). As a rising Sophomore at Carver Center for acting, she has both dance and acrobatics training. She is enthusiastic about furthering her acting experience and performing in Matilda Jr. this summer.

Amelia has performed with Children's Playhouse of Maryland and Charm City Players. She makes her debut with Cockpit and Court Court Jesters in Matilda Jr. Favorite performances include Zaneeta Shinn in The Music Man. Lucas is excited to make his debut at Cockpit in court! Lucas is a 3rd grade student who loves to sing (ask his brother about it) and play soccer. Lucas has done shows at CPM such as a mouse in Cinderella and was ensemble in Descendants. Lucas would like to thank Mrs. Liz and Mrs. Donna for this opportunity to take place in this amazing musical.
Meghan is thrilled to back on stage at Cockpit, after last appearing in Aladdin Jr. Her favorite roles include: Tom Snout (Rude Mechanicals), Children's Choir (Joseph...) and Maude Dunlap (Music Man Jr). Other hobbies include basketball and dance. Meghan will be in 4th grade next year at Seven Oaks Elementary. She thanks her parents and her sister Caitlyn for all of their support .
Angelina is so excited to be participating in her first Cockpit in Court show! She's an upcoming freshman at Mercy High School, a member of her church choir, and in the National Junior Honor Society. She actively participates in Children’s Playhouse of Maryland shows, and some of her favorite roles include James the Lesser/Ensemble in Jesus Christ Superstar, Thug 1/Ensemble in 42nd Street, The Clumsy Maiden/Ensemble in Cinderella, and Elsa in Frozen (not CPM). When she is not performing, she enjoys figure skating, art and reading. She would like to thank her family and friends for their love and support. She would also like to thank all of the cast, crew, and staff for making this show special. We hope you enjoy the show!
Emily “Oot” is very excited to be a part of Matilda Jr with Cockpit in Court! Emily has been doing shows with Cockpit since 2017 and she also performs regularly with the Children’s Playhouse of Maryland. Some of her favorite past shows include 42nd Street (CPM), Lion King (Cockpit in Court), and The Music Man (John Carroll School). When Emily is not on the stage she enjoys playing piano, dancing, and eating chocolate cake from IKEA. She would like to thank Ms. Liz, Ms. Patty, Rachel, and Ms. Donna for this amazing opportunity. Colette is thrilled to be making her stage debut with Cockpit in Court. Colette has most recently played Anita in 101 Dalmatians with PRC Drama and Young Fiona in Shrek the Musical with iMAGiNATiON 101. She loves school at St. Joe’s Fullerton, scouting with troop 1500, sports and catching and eating crabs! Colette would like to thank everyone that has helped make this show possible and all those who continue to support her love for theatre.
Avery is excited to be performing in her third Cockpit in Court show! She is going into the 8th grade and loves to stay busy with swimming, dancing on roller skates, singing, and playing the piano and violin. She would like to thank Ms. Liz, Ms. Patti, Ms. Rachael, and her vocal teacher.
Rylan is so excited to be part of Matilda Jr.! She has been acting since 2016. Some of her favorite shows include Jesus Christ Superstar, Cinderella, 42nd street, Legally Blonde and Moana Jr.! In the fall, Rylan will be attending Eastern Technical High School where she will be enrolled in the teaching academy magnet program. Jordan is thrilled to make her stage debut with Cockpit in the Court. Most recently Jordan played Donkey in her schools production of Shrek. She has also had starring roles in her schools productions of Junie B Jones and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. In addition to school plays Jordan also had an ensemble role in Descendants with Children’s Playhouse of MD and played Horton in CPM’s apprentice production of Seussical. Jordan loves to sing and takes vocal lessons at Baltimore School of Music. Jordan would like to thank Cockpit in the Court for this opportunity and her parents for their endless support.

Riley is 9 years old. She is homeschooled and in 5th grade. She has been performing for 5 years.This is her first show with the Cockpit Jesters and she is very excited to be here. She loves all forms of art, especially performing. She wants to thank everyone who has ever given her support and guidance in her theater journey.
Lua is a Towson resident and rising 5th grader at Stoneleigh Elementary who loves soccer, playing steel drums for her school, singing, and crafting. She's excited to make her debut with Cockpit in Court and wants to thanks Ms. Liz, Ms. Patty, Ms. Donna, and Ms. Rachel for making it possible. (And her family for the support!). Lua held several roles during her years with Three Ring Theater, including Wilbur in Charlotte's Web and Tom Sawyer in The Tales of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.
Savannah is happy to make her Cockpit in Court debut. Savannah has performed as The Narrator/Bulda in Frozen Kids with Dance Conservatory of Maryland where she studies dance and is a member of the National Honor Society of Dance Arts (NHSDA). Past ballet performances include Coppelia, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty with Ballet Chesapeake as well as their annual The Nutcracker at Towson University. Savannah plays flute and is a member of Sports for Life at Fallston Middle School. Savannah would like to thank her family and friends for their love and support.
Liz is overjoyed to be back at Cockpit and directing the Court Jesters in Matilda Jr. Previous shows directed for Cockpit: Camp Rock, Annie Jr., Seussical Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr., Mulan Jr., The Lion King Jr., Madagascar Jr., and Aladdin Jr., Moana Jr. and High School Musical. She has worked at Cockpit since 1987 having played in numerous Mainstage and Cabaret shows over the years. Liz is the Resident Director for The Children’s Playhouse of MD in residence here at CCBC and she is happily married to James Hunnicutt. Enjoy the show!
Patty is happy to be working again with the Court Jesters, she was last seen for Moana Jr in 2021. She is the Music Minister at St. Matthew Church and plays for various community theaters as well as accompanying several vocal students at Towson University.
Rachel is a recent graduate from Goucher College, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Dance. She is currently half way through her Master's of Arts Teaching at Goucher as well. Rachel is the current resident choreographer for The Children's Playhouse of Maryland and choreographs for other theatre's and school's in the area. Rachel will also be starting as the full time Director of Dance Education at Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School in August. Be sure to check out her choreography for The Prom at Cockpit in Court opening July 21st!
Sammy is an award winning 18-year-old theatre artist who has worked on over 150 theatrical productions in the Baltimore area. Though mostly a Scenic Designer, he also works in Lighting design, Sound design, props design and stage management for various companies and schools including Cockpit in Court, Vagabond Players, Silhouette Stages, Beth Tfiloh, Bowie Playhouse, John Carroll and more. He recently graduated from the Design & Production Magnet at G.W. Carver Center in Towson and serves as the Asst. Technical Director at the Children’s Playhouse of Maryland, where he performed for 10 years. He directed the US premiere of the West End musical Zelda a biographical musical about the tragic life of Zelda Fitzgerald that resulted in an upcoming 54 Below performance in New York. He is also the Co-founder of CJ PRODUCTIONS, a new production company based in Baltimore. Some of his other interests include screenwriting, drumming, graphic design and theatre journalism.
Ed Lake is thrilled to be part of the production team. Recent credits include Jesus Christ Superstar (CPM), Footloose - John Carroll and Gondoliers – Young Victorian Theatre Company. Past Cockpit shows include The Wizard of Oz and Sunset Boulevard. Ed is the Technical Director for the John Carroll School and resident Lighting Designer for Norte Dame Prep. Ed and his wife Margie both serve on the board of directors for the Children’s Playhouse of Maryland. Enjoy the Show!
Laura has a BFA in graphic design from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and is the Resident Scenic Artist for the Children’s Playhouse of MD. She has also served on the CPM Board of Directors for 16 years. Laura has worked as a scenic artist for Cockpit in Court for the past 15 seasons, painting for the Court Jester productions as well as several main stage shows. By day, Laura is the Assistant Director of Creative Arts at Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School, the camp administrator for the BT Performing Art Summer Camp, and the scenic artist for Beth Tfiloh’s theatre productions.
James is a graduate from Towson University with a degree in Theatre. He has performed at TU, MD Arts Festival, Cockpit in Court, Fell’s Point Corner Theatre, Vagabonds, Phoenix Festival, and F. Scott Black's Dinner Theatres, to mention a few. He has also choreographed and direct all over Baltimore. By day he works at Towson University as the Operations Manager, at the TU building in Harford County, referred to as TUNE (but sadly doesn’t offer any arts programs).
Robyn has been involved in children's theater since 2014 when her kids first started performing with Children's Playhouse of Maryland (CPM) and Cockpit in Court. She costumed her first show (Moana, Jr) with Cockpit in 2021, and she is now the resident costumer for CPM. Other costume credits include Legally Blonde Jr (CPM), High School Musical (Cockpit), Descendants (CPM), Zelda (Sammy Jungwirth), Cinderella Jr (CPM), Jesus Christ Superstar (CPM), and Matilda Jr (Cockpit). She is a member of the Board of Directors for Cockpit in Court and the Executive Board for CPM. She is also hard at work on the costumes for The Prom, which you can see on the mainstage later this summer. Robyn wants to thank the production staff and board for the opportunity to costume Matilda Jr. and to work with some of her favorite kids (including one of her own). A special thanks to Theresa Foggo for all of her help with costumes. Now, enjoy these incredible kids performing their hearts out!

Donna is honored to be part of her fourth show as stage manager with Cockpit in Court. Donna is a current board member for the Children’s Playhouse of Maryland and light board operator for CPM shows. Donna has stage managed and worked as stage crew for various CPM and Cockpit in the Court shows. During the day Donna works for the University of Maryland Medical System as an executive assistant to the VP of HIM. Donna is thankful for the opportunity to work with such a talented group of individuals. Enjoy the show.
