Maggie Coen (Juliet)

Maggie Coen is thrilled to take the stage as Juliet in Bethlehem High School’s production of Romeo and Juliet a One Act Play. She is no stranger to the stage, having performed as Athena in Bethlehem High School’s production of A Patterned Wing of Hope, with the Lawson School of Music in Seussical Jr., and Alice in Wonderland Jr.  She has also performed with Youth Theatre of Hardin County in Oklahoma!, Matilda, Footloose and Shrek.  She has also performed with Allegro Dance Theatre as Glinda in the Wizard of Oz Jr. and Adult Nala in The Lion King Jr.  She is especially excited to perform as Juliet and is grateful for the opportunity to share her love of theatre with the Bethlehem High School community!

Gabriel Newton (Benvolio)

Gabriel is ecstatic to make his debut with the Bethlehem High School Theatre Department! Although it is his first time here at Bethlehem, he knows his way around the stage. Gabriel has played many roles at his home theater, Centre Square, but his favorites include; Jack in Into the Woods, George Washington in Non-Stop: A Hamilton Tribute, Toad in Frog and Toad, and Lord Farquaad in Shrek: the Musical.  Gabriel enjoys singing and dancing and has even choreographed shows! He cant wait to see what show he will do next!

Eliza Baldwin (Friar Lawrence)

Eliza is excited to be playing Friar Lawrence in Romeo and Juliet! This is her second show with Bethlehem’s theater department. Last fall, she played Prometheus in A Patterned Wing of Hope. Eliza has been in many productions with The Lawson School of Music, most recently playing Ms. Hannigan in Annie Jr. She is also involved with Allegro Dance Theatre where she played Sarabi in The Lion King Jr., this past spring. In addition, Eliza is a member of the Youth Theater of Hardin County, and this summer she performed as the Ugly Duckling and a featured dancer in Shrek, The Musical.

Zoey Thome (Juliet's Nurse)

Zoey has been doing theatre since she was 5 years old and this play will be her 12th theatrical performance. She has never been a part of the backstage crew because of her love and passion for the stage but is open to learning. Most recently she is proud of coming out of her comfort zone after 2 years away from the stage to take on a deuteragonistic side character role. When not dedicating her time to theatre life or school she focuses on drawing and expressing herself through art. Shout out to her emotional support person a.k.a her amazing mom for helping her practice lines and always being there to help when she can.

 

Catherine Hils (Lady Montague)

A junior, Catherine has been involved in theatre for over five years. In the past, she has helped with sound management and acted in small roles in productions like Beauty and the Beast, Jr. Throughout her time in high school, she has helped with four of the Bethlehem Theatre Department's previous productions, taking on tech roles including lighting intern, assistant stage manager, and stage manager. Catherine is thrilled to have her first on-stage appearance as Lady Montague and looks forward to the theatre season ahead!

Lucianna Rivera (Lord Montague)

Lucianna is thrilled to return to the stage and perform in Bethlehem High School’s production of Romeo and Juliet! She most recently starred in A Patterned Wing of Hope (Narrator) and My Fair Lady (Mrs. Higgins/Ensemble), and some of her favorite roles include Beetlejuice Jr. (Charles, Ensemble), The Miss Noe Middle School Beauty Pageant (Miss Band), and Mary Poppins Jr. (Winifred, Ensemble). Since she was eight years old, she has always dreamed of becoming a professional actor. Lucianna is proficient in musical theatre, being experienced in conveying emotion, dynamics, and projection. In her free time, she enjoys expressing her creativity, performing, and hanging out with her best friends: Ainsley and Allie. She hopes to continue this journey throughout high school and meet new people along the way.

Jessa Gilland (Lady Capulet)

Jessa is a sophomore at Bethlehem High School and is extremely excited to be in this production of ​​​​​​Romeo and Juliet as she has been in love with the art of live and on-screen performance ever since she watched the movies Muppets Most Wanted and High School Musical 2. She has been in five productions so far, two of which were affiliated with Bethlehem (A Patterned  Wing of Hope as Hera and ​​​My Fair Lady as Mrs. Eynsford-Hill), two affiliated with her middle school, Saint James Catholic School (Big Bad as The Old Man and ​​Baker Street Irregulars as the Director/Sherlock Holmes), and one for Stephen Foster (Dare to Dream as Player 2). Jessa plans to pursue this art as her career and always says, “Those who never try to follow their dreams never truly know how happy they can be when they’re doing the thing they love.”

Leilani Maria Smith (Lord Capulet )

Back under the stage lights, Leilani is proud to be preforming once again! Leilani is a sophomore that has been bouncing everywhere in theater from acting in Bethlehems "A Pattern Wing of Hope" (Zeus), "My Fair Lady" (ensemble) to being stage hands for "Winnie the Pooh Musical" at the Stephen Foster Story. Outside of theater she adores choir, singing, art, folklorico dancing, and spending time with her chosen family. Let the show begin!

Annie Hallock (Balthasar)

My name is Annie and I started getting big into theater last school year. It is quite fun and a good way to make new friends. I enjoy embracing characters and getting to be my silly self.

Logan Fentress (Officer)

Logan is a junior at Bethlehem High. He has done many shows in the past as a part of tech. But this year, he is deciding to step onto the stage. In the past, he has been a part of sound crew for shows like: The Audition, Little Women, A Patterened Wing of Hope: a Greek Myth, and My Fair Lady. Recently, he also helped with the sound at Steven Foster for Winnie the Pooh Kids. Logan is very excited for all the new experiences of becoming an actor.

Logan Fentress (Sound Manager)

Logan is a junior at Bethlehem High. He is the sound Manager for this year's production of Romeo and Julliet. He has worked on many other shows for Bethlehem, like: The Audition, Little Women, A Patterned Wing of Hope: a Greek Myth, and My Fair Lady. This year, Logan has decided to be an actor along with being the sound manager. This is his first show doing both tech and acting. He is very excited for this opportunity and will do his best to make this show the best it can be.

Catherine Hils (Stage Manager)

A junior, Catherine has been involved in theatre for over five years. In the past, she has helped with sound management and acted in small roles in productions like Beauty and the Beast, Jr. Throughout her time in high school, she has helped with four of the Bethlehem Theatre Department's previous productions, taking on tech roles including lighting intern and assistant stage manager. Outside of theatre, Catherine is a member of multiple clubs, including choir, archery, book club, and academic team. This year, Catherine is excited to act as the stage manager for Bethlehem's production of Romeo and Juliet!

Makaela Chesser (Sound Intern/House Manager)

Makaela is thrilled to be joining the Bethlehem High School Theater Program as a Sound Intern! She is excited to gain experience both on and off the stage. Her first theater experience was performing Beauty & the Beast at her former school, and she has loved theater ever since. Outside of performing, Makaela enjoys watching plays, and listening to their soundtracks. She hopes to be on stage with Bethlehem High School's Theater next year, and is excited to continue growing her love for theater through this experience!

Maya Noce (Cyc Lights Manager)

Maya is so excited to be starting her second year doing CYC Lights! theater has quickly become her favorite and place to be, and she loves being part of the behind-the-scenes- magic. She’s grateful for all the memories, friendships, and opportunities theater has brought her and can’t wait to see what this year has in store!

Leilani Maria Smith (Props)

Leilani is more excited than ever to be part of this years Bethlehem theater production of "Romeo and Juliet"! Now, Leilani has been a part of many wonderful productions such as "A Pattern Wing of Hope" (Zeus), "My Fair Lady" (ensemble) and "Winnie the Pooh Musical" (stage hands). Theater is her passion and she is thrilled to be a part of it and its amazing community! Shout out to all my Besties!

LucyFerris Smith (Spotlight)

Lucy Ferris Smith is a senior at Bethlehem High School. She has been a part of The Audition, Little Women: The MusicalA Patterned Wing of Hope, and My Fair Lady, with Romeo and Juliet being her fifth production at Bethlehem. In the past, she has helped with house management, sound, and lights and is currently managing the spotlight. Outside of theatre, she enjoys running track and cross country, trapshooting, and playing piano.
