Cast & Staff Biographies

William Bryant (Director) has been delighted to switch hats at MST to bring Songs for a New World to the virtual stage! During the day, he is behind the curtain working as a professional set designer and technical director. He is incredibly thankful to work with this amazing cast and team and for the opportunity to create art in this "new world!"

Bevin Gorin (Lighting Designer) is pleased to be designing back at MST for SFANW. Previously, her design has been seen at MST in Anything Goes, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes , Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson, Assassins and A Few Good Men, to name a few. Thanks to the staff for having her back on this, our first show back. Until next time. For my parents and husband, with love.

Charlie Hannagan (Bass) is no stranger to the MST community. He has served as either music director and/or the pit orchestra guitarist or bassist for many MST productions including: American Psycho, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Last Five Years, Peter and the Starcatcher, Dogfight, Sondheim on Sondheim, & Jekyll and Hyde.

Laura Hannagan (Music Director) is honored to darken the doorway of MST again as the music director of this novel undertaking of a show. As an active pianist in the greater Delaware area, Laura divides most of her musical time between playing various church services, area school concerts, recitals, and performing for many of the local community theatres, while teaching piano and keyboard lessons privately. Music directing credits include Wilmington Drama League: Beauty & The Beast, MST Hunchback of Norte Dame. Past MST piano pit orchestra credits include: The Last Five Years, Peter and the Starcatcher, Company, Follies, Merrily We Roll Along, Sondheim on Sondheim, Dogfight, and Jekyll & Hyde. “Thank you cast and crew for our journey through this New World.”

Joey Lopes (Guitar) is a guitar player from Newark, Delaware. He has performed in many shows around the area over the years, most recently Passing Strange (City Theater Company). He also performs with Wilmington's The Rock Orchestra in Beatlefest (Lead Guitar), and he spends much of his free time composing original songs and covering video game music on YouTube.

Steven Soltow (Piano) is a busy pianist/keyboardist and music director for community theatre productions in Maryland; his recent favorites include West Side Story, Footloose, and The Last Five Years. On the stage, Steven’s favorite roles are Into the Woods (Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince), Music Man (Jacey Squires) and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (Gus Esmond). He is a teacher at Tendercare Learning Center in North East and piano instructor at Music Land in Bel Air, MD. Steven is also working as a student teacher and nearing completion of his degree in K-12 Music Education at Towson University.

Antonio Symone (Man 1) could not be more excited to join this stellar cast and crew for his premier performance with MST. His recent performances include The Laramie Project (Chair #2, E25 Theatre), Little Women The Musical (John Brooke, UD Opera Theatre). Performances with The Harrington Theatre & Arts Company include: Falsettos (Whizzer) 35mm: A Musical Exhibition (Man 1), A Chorus Line (Alan DeLuca), and The Addams Family (Lucas Beineke). Antonio would like to give his deepest gratitude to everyone who has worked tirelessly to make this production possible during these trying times. Thank you, and enjoy
