Layne (they/she) obtained their MFA in Musical Theatre from Boston Conservatory and their BA in Musical Theatre from Seton Hill University and lives to tell the tale. Notable roles include: Kathy Selden in Singin' in the Rain, Logainne Schwartzy in The 25th Annual...Spelling Bee, Ariel in The Tempest, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, and Elizabeth Lavenza in Frankenstein. They also started Q-Sketch here at QA&P, so they could have SNL at home with their friends! Layne dedicates this performance to Kraft Mac n Cheese and her sweet cat, Kabuki Louise. :)

Aster (they/them) works in a library and has a PhD in English literature from Cardiff University, which they completed while living in Wales after working abroad as an English teacher in different countries. Aster also has a music background, playing alto saxophone, piano, guitar, singing, and writing songs. They joined Queer Artists & Players in summer 2024 and roles have included Theseus in The Rude Mechanicals, Alonso in The Tempest, and writing and acting in Q-Sketch and the 48-hour festival. They are very grateful to the many people who made this show possible, and would also like to thank their mom for teaching them how to play piano.

Allan MacTaylor is a music teacher from Salem, Massachusetts and is thrilled to be in his first show with Queer Artists and Players. Allan has spent the past four years music directing for the theatrical program at Salem High School, as well as directing their a cappella group, "WitchPitch?". His other recent theatrical experiences include roles in The Great Gatsby and Tuck Everlasting as well as stage managing for Something Rotten all at Marblehead Little Theater. Allan is excited to be performing with Queer Artists and Players and is looking forward to showing people this wonderful show.

Mark Hollmann received the Tony Award®, the National Broadway Theatre Award, and the Obie Award for his score to Urinetown the Musical, which had its start in the 1999 New York International Fringe Festival. It won Outer Critics Circle, Drama League, and Lucille Lortel Awards for best musical in addition to garnering 10 Tony Award® nominations. Other shows as composer/lyricist include Yeast Nation (2011 New York International Fringe Festival, Perseverance Theatre, American Theatre Company, and Ray of Light Theatre), Bigfoot and Other Lost Souls (Atlantic Stage and Perseverance Theatre), The Man in the White Suit(New York Stage and Film), The Girl, the Grouch, and the Goat (University Theatre, U. of Kansas), Alchemist the Musical (Seattle Fringe Festival), Jack the Chipper(Greenview Arts Center, Chicago), Kabooooom!(University Theater, U. of Chicago), I Think I Can and Deal with It! (Berkshire Theatre Festival), and Fare for All (Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden, NYC). Actor and/or co-writer for the Cardiff Giant Theater (Chicago) productions The Rack, Theater of Funny, The Mercy Ripper, LBJFKKK, Love Me, All Eight Die, and After Taste, the last of which he also directed. TV: songs for Disney Channel's Johnny and the Sprites. He has served on the Tony Nominating Committee, serves on the Council of the Dramatists Guild of America, and is a member of ASCAP. He is also a member of Sure Foundation Lutheran Church in Woodside, Queens, where he serves as a part-time pianist. He and his wife Jilly live in Manhattan with their sons, Oliver and Tucker.

Greg Kotis wrote the book and co-wrote the lyrics for URINETOWN THE MUSICAL, for which he won two Tony Awards in 2002. His new play, PIG FARM, opened at The Roundabout Theatre in New York City and at The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego in 2006. Currently, he is developing two new musicals with Mark Hollmann: YEAST NATION (the triumph of life), an original story that tells the tale of the dawn of life on Earth, and THE MAN IN THE WHITE SUIT, a musical version of the 1951 Alec Guiness film. Other plays include EAT THE TASTE (at New York's Barrow Street Theatre), JOBEY AND KATHERINE, BARON von SIEBENBURG MELTS THROUGH THE FLOORBOARDS, and GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT. Greg lives in Brooklyn with his wife Ayun, his daughter India, and his son Milo.

Steven Weiss (he/him) graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music (Film Scoring), and his recent credits include sound design for Nerdy Prudes Must Die and composing for the immersive entertainment studio Midnight Mansion. An avid escape room enthusiast, he loves Jeopardy!, cooking, and will definitely rant about every character in the musical Cats if given the chance. 

gretchen “gotta pee” waldorf (she/any) holds a theatre performance degree from Guilford College. She loves to be onstage but will not sing earnestly in front of an audience! Past behind-the-scenes credits include: Scenic Charge for Smell of the Kill, Scenic Designer for Dog Sees God, ASM for Working!, Costume Designer for Cinderella. She is passionate about making the world laugh and is dedicating this and every other show of her life to her parents, especially her mother, who has never missed a single show she’s been involved with. <3
