This year (2020-2021) has brought us through some hard times as a community and a country as a whole. I think Charlie Brown is an “everyman” character, emulating how hard it is, sometimes, to get out of bed in the morning. YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN reminds us that in the time of a pandemic, we can still fly a kite, suppertime CAN be a joyous occasion and Beethoven Day is just as good a reason to celebrate as any. It reminds us of a time when we could sing and dance together and we will again- bringing us the moments of Happiness we need so much right now.

I am so happy and grateful to work with a community of students and adults who have supported my vision for this show.  I'd like to thank Kevin Curry for acting as our Technical Director again this year, booster parents for their support, Rania Ashoor (grade 11) for using her amazing CG skills to create the visual images for this show, the rest of the crew for their willingness to try anything to support each other and the cast for being brave enough to stand in front of a green screen and act, sing and dance by themselves in order to show you their facial expressions without a mask!  I'd also like to thank Dr. Nowak and Mrs. Layman for your unending support of the theatre program at FCHS. Last, but not least, we could not have done this production without the musical direction and editing skills of Dr. Redden-Liotta.  It's been a privilege working with you on these productions.  Thank you!
