Meet the Company

Julia Finke (she/they) is an actor, comedian, clown, and karaoke enthusiast based in Brooklyn, NY. She first discovered clown while obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Dramatic Art at UNC - Chapel Hill. After training there under Tracy Bersley, she continued her studies at the Accademia dell’Arte, and later in workshops with Chris Bayes and Julia Masli. Performance credits include Soho Playhouse, The Idiot’s Hour, Brooklyn Comedy Collective, and the PIT. Julia is passionate about the transformative power of clown training and hopes to spread the clown gospel with the whole world. She created Clown Karaoke Night, a clown workshop/karaoke night/open mic, to let anyone experience the euphoria of clowning first hand, regardless of their training or performance experience. These monthly events are open to the public and always free. As an actress, Julia has appeared off Broadway (Signature Theatre), off-off Broadway (The Flea, The Tank, NYTF), regionally (Virginia Stage Company, ROUGE Theatre), and is a member of the Blessed Unrest Training Ensemble. As a comedian, she makes short form videos on @juulsjunkjournal that you may or may not have seen. i’m gonna go viral even if it kills me is her first full length solo show. She hopes to develop it further over the next year, perform for audiences across the country, and bring the final evolution to Edinburgh Fringe in 2027. IG: @julia_finke Website: juliafinke.com
