Meet the Company

Madeline Barnes (Johann Wilhelm Möbius)
Madeline is a graduating senior in the college, majoring in Economics and Comparative Human Development. She has previously acted in ‘Company’ and ‘Old Man and the Old Moon’. She would like to give a special shout out to Lauro and Rosin Tuf-Skin Grip Spray for helping her learn the basics of aerial silks in a month and a half!

Joseph DePaula (Blocher/Guhl/Police Doctor/Sievers/McArthur/Murillo)
Joseph DePaula is a first-year History major. He was last seen on the stage playing Little John in “Marian, or the True Tale of Robin Hood,” but he was last seen in public stepping on a rake which proceeded to flip up, hitting him in the face. He repeated this action an unknowable amount of times with an uncountable number of rakes before the camera cut away. He is also a member of Commedia dell’Arte on campus.

Zander Galluppi (Herbert Georg Beutler (Newton))
Zander Galluppi is a sixth-year PhD candidate in the Committee on Immunology. He has performed in nearly 20 UT/TAPS productions and recently ended his fourth term on UT Committee. Some of his favorite UChicago credits include Peter and the Starcatcher (Smee), Animals Out of Paper (Andy), and Amazons and Their Men (The Man). Zander also performs regionally in Chicago where his credits include work with Mercury Theatre Chicago, the Beverly Arts Center, Eclectic Full Contact Theatre, This Moment Productions, Underscore Theatre Company, and Dominican University as a professional guest artist. You can catch Zander next appearing in UChicago's upcoming Pro Show, Juxtaposition: An Evening of One-Act Plays, in a couple weeks.
Dante Manocchio (Police Inspector Richard Voss)
Dante Manocchio is a fourth-year in the college. Previous acting credits include Julius Caesar, 'Amlet and several years with UChicago Commedia. Dante also recently assistant directed Romeo and Juliet and is an experienced clown. He is thrilled to be a part of this wacky wacky show!
Kelly Mao (Ernst Heinrich Ernesti (Einstein))
Kelly Mao is a second-year Computer Science and Mathematics major whose previous theater credits include a whole lot of design and management and exactly two minutes of acting. She's very excited to expand the time of the latter!
Eliana Mazin (Fräulein Doktor Mathilde von Zahnd)
Eliana Mazin is a first-year Math and Physics double major. She loves training aerials and performed in Le Vorris and Vox's Fall 2022 Showcase. She is excited to be returning to her theater roots with Cup of Theater in this unique and thrilling production. She thanks everyone for coming!
@elianamazin
Julia Morales (Marta Boll/Monika Stettler)
Julia Morales is a first year in the college. You may have seen her in Marian: A True Tale of Robin Hood, Arms and the Man, and Macbeth In Space. She is excited to share this show with you all, and hope you enjoy it! Thanks for watching!
Honor Torrance (Irene Straub/Frau Lina Rose/Oskar Rose/Adolf-Friedrich/Wilfried-Kaspar/Jörg-Lukas)
Honor Torrance is a third-year English & Cinema and Media Studies major. In addition to her Very Important Duties as Arts Chair for the Dean’s Men, she has worked on nearly every Theater24 and a what she would call a "respectable handful" of other shows. Contrary to what the magic of the theatre may lead you to believe, she is in fact still alive, and only one person (pictured).
Laura Tutondele Mahaniah (Director/Production Manager)
Laura Tutondele Mahaniah is a third-year at UChicago studying TAPS, Anthropology and Linguistics. At the University, she has previously worked on Queen of Spades (Director), Marian, Or the True Tale of Robin Hood (Will Scarlett/Fight Captain), Romeo and Juliet (Dramaturg), King Lear (Old Man/Knight), Fields of Asphodel (Syd), Love’s Labour’s Lost (Rosaline) and My H8 Letter to the Gr8 American Theatre (Ensemble). Laura Tutondele is currently working on the Chicago Black Dance Legacy Project and Beshrew Me! as a research assistant, as well as Be More Chill (Choreographer) and At Your Own Risk (ensemble). When not in rehearsals, Laura Tutondele can usually be found rushing between dance studios. Contact over instagram or at lauratutondele@gmail.com. Photo by ©William Frederking

Jack Cramer (Sound Designer)
Jack Cramer is a fourth year Music and Philosophy Major. He has previously worked on Romeo and Juliet (Props), King Lear (Assist. Sound), and Original Sin (Music Director, Arranger, Sound). He is currently working on Laika’s Coffin (Vocal Director) and Be More Chill (Bassist). His honors thesis is due this Monday and he is very tired.
Lauro Casiño (Silks Choreographer)
Lauro Casiño is a fourth year Biology major. He has previously performed in Le Vorris and Vox Circus (LVV) showcases and shows, including ‘Etteilla, the Fool’s Journey’ and ‘The Tale of Pluto’, doing aerial silks, aerial hoop, aerial rope, and partnered and group acrobatics. He is currently teaching classes for LVV and you can find him at almost every circus open gym each week. This is the first theatre production that he has helped with and he is excited and extremely proud of all of the actors on silks for this show; they all worked very hard to learn silks in a short amount of time and integrating aerials into acting is no easy task! He is likely hanging off of something upside down right now. You can find Lauro on Instagram @laurocasino
