About the Wonderettes
Katie is honored to be back at Dundalk Community for this special holiday production. Some of her most recent and memorable roles include Marcy Fitzwilliams in I Love You Because at CP, ensemble in Mamma Mia at DCT, and Cindy Lou Huffington in The Marvelous Wonderettes at the ASGT. When not performing, Katie teaches elementary physical education in Anne Arundel County Public Schools. In her spare time, Katie supports and performs in the local music scene and plays disc golf with her partner, Mike, and their fur-child, Hudson. Katie would like to thank her wonderful family and friends for their unwavering love and support.
Emily is excited to return to DCT after having performed in Shrek as Three Blind Mice/Rat Tapper/Dragonette/BlueBird, I Hate Hamlet as Deirdre McDavey, and Leader of the Pack as Mickey. She last appeared in 42nd Street as Ethel/Tap Ensemble/Doctor. Prior to the pandemic she appeared in Phoenix Festival Theatre’s A Chorus Line as Sheila. Prior credits include PFT’s Into the Woods as Rapunzel, Third Wall’s Man of La Mancha as Maria, Cockpit in Court’s Nice Work If You Can Get It as Midge, PFT’s Anything Goes as Hope Harcourt. Away from the stage, Emily is a family law and estate planning attorney. She would like to thank her family, friends, and especially John, for all their love and support.
Stephanie is excited to return to the DCT stage after last being seen as Peggy in both installments of The Taffetas series. Some of Stephanie's most notable theatrical credits include Missy Miller in The Marvelous Wonderettes (Tidewater Players), Grace in Annie (Tidewater Players), Julia in The Wedding Singer (Tidewater Players), and Linda in Blood Brothers (Tidewater Players). Other roles include Lady Larken in Once upon a Mattress (Suburban Players), Rose Mary in How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying (Suburban Players). When not performing, Stephanie is a first grade teacher in Baltimore County.
Becca is thrilled to return to the DCT stage, this holiday season! Dundalk audiences may remember her from The Taffetas and A Taffeta Christmas, as well as Thoroughly Modern Millie, and others. Becca is a Musical Theatre graduate of Penn State and has performed across the U.S. and abroad. She also teaches and choreographs for both educational and professional theatres. Of all Becca’s roles, her favorites are that of military wife and new mom.
Dickie is excited to be making his DCT directorial debut. Directing in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware for over 20 years, some of his most notable credits include: The Marvelous Wonderettes (Tidewater Players), The Boys Next Door (Tidewater Players), Fiddler on the Roof (Phoenix Festival Theater), The Wizard of Oz (John Carroll Summer Theatre). When not working in the theatre Richard can be seen flying the friendly skies as a flight attendant.
Nathan is a Maryland-based Music Director for musical theatre. He is the current resident Assistant Conductor at Toby’s dinner theater of Columbia. He is musically directing Winter Wonderettes and A Chorus Line this season for DCT. He is an adjunct faculty professor in the Musical Theatre program at Towson University. In addition to keyboard conducting, teaching vocals, and re-orchestrating music, he is an engineer at Northrop Grumman by day. He is very thankful for his parents for making sure was always involved with music growing up.
Marc has been involved in theatre for over 40 years and has been responsible for designing or technically directing over 350 productions. With B.A. and M.F.A. degrees in Technical Theatre and Design from Towson University, he has been the full time Technical Director for CCBC Dundalk since 1980. In addition, he is the theatre technical consultant for the CCBC Catonsville and Essex theatre facilities. Marc has received numerous technical theatre achievement awards from The United States Institute of Theatre Technology. Several of his production designs have been displayed in juried expositions including A Little Night Music and The Cemetery Club for technical achievement and Bus Stop for Scenic and Lighting Design. Marc’s scenic and lighting designs for the CCBC Essex production of Zombie Prom were part of the finalists in the Region II Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and his lighting design for the DCT production of I Do, I Do, won “Best Lighting Design” at the Maytime International Theatre Festival in Ireland.
Amy is always happiest when working at her home theatre, DCT. Amy has performed, stage managed, floor supervised, propped, dressed as well as sold concessions and raffles for the past 20 years here at DCT. During the day, Amy is the Administrative Assistant for the Psychology Department at Towson University. All day, every day, she is the devoted mother of Timothy and wife to Glen. Wishing everyone a delightful Holiday Season!
Tom is excited to finally open the 2021-2022 season. It’s been an arts management challenge over the past 18 months but, we’re back!!. As the Artistic/Managing Director of DCT since 1983, Tom is going to enjoy this season as he looks forward to his retirement in June of 2022. Professor Tom came to CCBC (formerly Dundalk Community College) in 1975 and has enjoyed a 47 year teaching career. He thanks DCT audiences for their devoted support over all this time to help make DCT the best ever! Other credentials include directing, A Year With Frog and Toad, I Hate Hamlet, The Octette Bridge Club, On Golden Pond, Love Letters, La Cage aux Folles, Romance, Romance, Steel Magnolias, Cabaret, Ballroom, Dames at Sea, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Cat On a Hot Tin Roof, Intimate Apparel, The Fantasticks, Fat Pig, Little Shop of Horrors and 42nd Street. His performance credits include The Glass Menagerie, The Fantasticks, Nightwatch, The Robber Bridegroom, Starting Here, Starting Now, Love Letters, Company, Six Rms Riv Vu and Edith Piaf, Je Vous Aime . Who knows what’s next!!
Roger Bean created the long-running hit The Marvelous Wonderettes (over 1,200 performances Off-Broadway), along with the sequels Wonderettes: Caps & Gowns, Winter Wonderettes, Wonderettes: Dream On, and the new large-cast Wonderettes: Glee Club Edition. Original cast albums for all Wonderettes shows are available from iTunes and Amazon. The Marvelous Wonderettes received the 2007 LA Ovation Award for Best Musical for its record-breaking Los Angeles run and continues to be an audience favorite in theatre companies throughout the country. Mr. Bean’s do-wop hit Life Could Be A Dream had a record-breaking 12-month run in Los Angeles, receiving the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award, the LA Weekly Theatre Award, and the Backstage Garland Award for Outstanding Musical.
