Meet the Company

Ryan Edmonds (Sonny Malone)
Ryan would like to thank the cast, crew, and production team for their support and guidance for his first big, lead role. Pre-COVID, Ryan performed a number of featured roles at Forge Theatre, such as Brian in Avenue Q and Anselmo in Man of La Mancha. He also played ensemble roles in Head Over Heels and All Shook Up. He is beginning to dabble with lighting design and continues to enjoy volunteering at the theater alongside his wife Kim. Ryan enjoys working with the individuals who make up the theater community, who continue to reel him in with lasting friendships and connections in all parts of life.
Lisa Bassett (Kira)
Lisa is excited to be back on the Forge Theater stage. She was previously seen in the One Actstravaganza in “Mind Games” and “Cadaver Lab”. Other roles Lisa has enjoyed playing include Ariel in "The Tempest" with Prague Shakespeare Company, Pinocchio in "Shrek" at Players Club of Swathmore, Rosalind in "As You Like" It at Footlighters Theater, and April in "Company" at Facetime Theater. Lisa is also a repertory performer with Without A Cue Productions, a murder mystery dinner theater company. While not performing Lisa is a Middle School Music Teacher.
Bob Goretski (Melpomene)
Since Bob is the only member of the cast old enough to remember ancient Grease, it was an easy fit to put him in this role. He was most recently seen “Rockin the Boat” in Guys and Dolls. When not on the Forge Stage, or more accurately gasping for air in the Forge wings. He has developed a lucrative “side hustle” testing incontinent supplies and male “enhancement” products.
Sean Murray (Calliope)
After last appearing in "Forbidden Broadway" where every character had different hair, Sean is thrilled to be doing another show that allows him to fully employ the wig rider that is now a standard part of all his contracts. He has grown especially attached to the wig known as the “brown football helmet.” He thanks Tom for staying true to the Broadway staging and not making his character roller skate, Denise for giving him all the obnoxiously high notes to sing, and Christa for being his laugh meter whenever he tried a new bit – which isn’t easy when you’re playing an aged muse who has seen and done it all. “As you journey through life, may you be inspired by epic love, enjoy a little whimsey and encounter lots of big hands and big feet. That’s the real gift of Xanadu.” Huzzah!
Tom Groves (Danny Maguire)
Tom is happy to be back at Forge, with an audience to boot! Tom has done many things, been many places....He bides his time and struts his stuff. The buddha says he has reached Nirvana several times, but Tom doesn't like to brag. He has a lucky penny, and no you can't see it. Tom wishes to thank Tom, Denise, and Christa for their hard work and for keeping a blind eye. Tom also wants to thank Ruth, Lily and Phoebe for their love and support. I couldn't do this without you.
Kim Edmonds (Erato)
Kim is delighted to return to the Forge stage after a long hiatus due to COVID! She previously appeared in Head Over Heels (Mopsa), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Domina understudy/Ensemble), All Shook Up (Mayor Matilda Hyde), Avenue Q (Bad Idea Bear), and Man of La Mancha (Maria/Fermina). Her other local credits include ensemble roles in Honeymoon in Vegas at the Barn, The Wizard of Oz at SALT, and Anything Goes at Footlighters. Kim also serves on the Forge Theatre board as Publicity Chair. Kim is grateful for her Forge family and for her husband Ryan, who always supports (and usually joins) her theater adventures!
Tracy Flynn (Terpiscore )
Tracy is married with 4 young adult children. She has loved performing since the 4th grade when she took her first dance class. While in HS performed in shows at Archbishop Prendergast/Bonner HS. She is an alum of Upper Darby Summer Stage where she performed in many children's theater and main stage shows. Her most recent show at UDSS was the 40th Anniversary Show. Recent theater experience is Godspell, The Mikado & All Shook Up (Forge). Several years ago, she decided to try something new and started doing background/extra work. Some of the shows she has worked on are VEEP, House of Cards, Servant, Cabin in the Woods & CREED 1 & 2. You can also see her episodes of Copy Cat Killers, "Lizzie Borden" & "The Matrix", Mysteries At The Museum "The Tumbleweed Tycoon". She has also been in several commercials. BOSE - with Carson Wentz, Recovery Centers of America, and Rothman Institute. She is also a proud member of SAG. Tracy would like to thank her family for their support.
Safiyyah Jones (Thalia)
Safiyyah is excited to be back on stage and in another show at Forge Theatre. She would like to thank her friends, family, and castmates for the support they have provided. "Xanadu" is a favorite show of hers and she is honored to be a part of the production.
Emily Alberici (Ensemble)
Emily is so excited to be part of this production! One of her favorite past roles was performing as Earthworm in "James and The Giant Peach." Emily is a Board-Certified Music Therapist and teaches music part time at The Pathway School. In her free time, you will find her roller skating around Phoenixville, out filming videos for her YouTube channel, "WheelYourOwnWay" where she teaches people how to roller skate and how to harness self-empowerment. Emily has been participating in musical theater from early childhood through post college years, but this is the first time she has been in an all-adult cast! She states that being in an all-adult cast is a unique and valuable experience. Emily is so grateful and proud to be involved in this creative journey and process.
Tom Yenchick (Director/Choreographer)
Tom has performed and choreographed on many local community stages over the years. Most recently he has performed at Forge in “The Laramie Project”, “The Man Who Came to Dinner”, and “110 Stories”. He has recently directed the virtual productions of “Clue” and “Forbidden Broadway”. He has also directed and choreographed “All Shook Up”, “Head Over Heels”, and “Carrie: The Musical”. Tom serves on the Board of Directors of the theater as General Productions chair. When not at the theater, he is a second-grade teacher and directs the middle school musical in his district, which consumes his free time in the spring.
Denise Wisneski (Musical Director)
Denise is delighted to be part of this production of Xanadu, especially since it has not been performed by any other local theatre. She is a retired public school music teacher and has organized and performed in numerous cabarets and murder mystery dinner theatre benefits for local non-profits. She currently serves on Forge's Board as Hospitality Chairperson. Denise is an organist at St. Ann Church and serves as director of music, organist, and cantor for St. Mary of the Assumption Church. "Hazzahs" and heartfelt thanks to the cast, producer Christa, lighting designer/operator "extraordinaire" Nathaniel, and most of all director Tom whose brilliant creativity and relentless work on this production is unmatchable. Next up for Denise, she will be producing our January play, Love, Loss, and What I Wore and will be back behind the piano for Godspell in June.
Christa Wisneski (Producer)
Christa has been seen on Forge’s stage, as well as behind the scenes off and on for the last 30 years. She most recently was seen on stage in Forge’s productions of Guys & Dolls as Miss Adelaide. She has directed, co-directed, assistant directed, produced, and stage-managed in-between hiatuses from the stage. Some of her favorite roles include “Pamela” (Head Over Heels), “Dr. Cantway/Tiffany Edwards/and others” (Laramie Project), “Annelle” (Steel Magnolias), "Olive" (Spelling Bee), “Sister Mary Amnesia” (Nunsense), as well as many other ensemble/featured parts in various shows. She currently serves as Second VP on Forge’s Board and will be directing Forge’s third show of the season, Love, Loss and What I Wore, opening January 2023 as well as the season closer Godspell, opening June 2023. Thank you to Tom, Denise, and this talented cast for all your hard work and dedication!!

A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.
