Meet the Company
Michael Schenker
Psychologist by day, Michael is honored to be doing 12 Angry Men with Director, Jeffrey Bruce, who interrupted his 27-year hiatus from acting by casting him in PPTOPA’S Gypsy and then again as Metcalf in The Mousetrap. Repeat audiences may also remember seeing Michael as Oscar Rolfe (Judgement at Nuremberg), Kevin (In the Heights), Inspector Kemp (Young Frankenstein), Ladislav Sipos (She Loves Me) and The Mayor (Seussical the Musical).
Francis Allen
Francis Allen is delighted to appear at PPTOPA in 12 Angry Men directed by Jeffrey Bruce. In the last 3 years, Francis has won two Best Supporting Actor awards, Best Narration Award, and The Acting Achievement Award Wo/men in the Arts U.S.A. Recent theatre credits include Milk and Honey
(Mr. Horowitz) The Wick Theatre; Chasing Jack (Dr. Noel) Willow Theatre; Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf (George) Actors Cultural Theater; The Field (William Dee), The Weir (Finbar), Cripple of Inishmaan (Dr. McSharry) South Florida Irish Theatre. Francis trained in drama and debuted as Romeo at Carmel College Oxfordshire, UK. He graduated from
University of Manchester England with 1st Class Honors; earned Distinctions at Trinity College of Music London; advanced his skills with Royal College of Music faculty, renowned director John Swanbeck,
award winning Directors Michael Leeds and Caryl Fantel, and leading Dialect Coach Paul Meier. Francis’ film and TV work includes Critical Thinking, The Beach Bum, First Man, The Right Stuff, Black-ish,
Investigation Discovery, Beer Kings, Are You Amir Shah, Telemundo, Ballers, Secret Society 3: Till Death. Francis is proficient in Spanish, French, and several dialects. As a Dialect Coach, he teaches actors British accents. His keen interests include playing guitar, soccer, and Formula One.
Ben Prayz
Ben Prayz has appeared throughout South Florida and the Northeast region in many plays and musicals. He also has numerous IMDB credits, independent features, industrials, commercials and videos. PPTOPA debut! Grateful for this cast, this crew, a live audience and a loving Creator.
Rick Prada
Rick is happy to be back at PPTOPA as Juror No. 4. He previously was in their production of “Cabaret” as Ernst Ludwig. Locally he appeared in LPAC’s production of “42nd Street” as Bert Barry,” in several Barclay Performing Arts productions including “Reflecting Echoes” as Tere, “La Cage Aux Folles” as Dindon, “She Loves Me” as Mr. Maraczek, “A Little Night Music” as the Count, and “Ragtime” as Grandpa, in Boca Black Box’s production of “Little House on the Ferry” as Timothy, and in Delray Beach Playhouse’s production of “1940’s Radio Hour” as Clifton. He has been active in theater for many years performing in Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Tampa. Rick would like to thank Gian for his continued support and encouragement.
Nicholas Palazzo
Nicholas Palazzo is incredibly excited to be returning to the PPTOPA stage in one of his favorite shows! He will be playing Juror number 5. Some previous credits include: Officer Lockstock in Urinetown, Fennyman in Shakespeare In Love, and Dr. Chasuble in The Importance of Being Earnest. He would like to thank Jeff for the opportunity, as well as his friends and family for their continued support!
Jeff Burleson
After a decade of work in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Jeff and his partner Olivia have recently moved to South Florida. Not only is this first production with PPTOPA, it is his first role in Florida! Jack B. Stein
This marks Jack’s debut with PPTOPA. A recent transplant to South Florida from Washington, DC, he has recently appeared at The Foundry (The Prisoners) and Delray Beach Playhouse (Something’s Afoot). While in Washington, DC, he was active as a performer/director and is the recipient of the 2018 DC WATCH Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play (The Nance). Jack is a licensed clinical social worker and operates a private psychotherapy and executive coaching practice. A huge thank you to Jeffrey and his team and to his biggest supporters, Peter and Rocco.
James A. Skiba
James A. Skiba is excited to be performing in this dream role made famous by two idols – Henry Fonda and Jack Lemmon! Favorite roles include Julian Marsh-42nd Street, Bob Wallace-White Christmas, John Adams-1776, Harold Hill-The Music Man, Albert Peterson-Bye, Bye Birdie, John Gustafson-Grumpy Old Men, Frank Butler-Annie Get Your Gun, Rev.

David Hoffman
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, David spent 45 years as a librarian in the New York City area, relocating to Fort Lauderdale with his husband, Paul in 2010. Pursuing a lifelong dream, he enrolled in acting classes at age 75, and reclassified himself from “retired librarian” to “actor between gigs and singer between engagements”. David has appeared in local productions in South Florida and as far north as the Treasure Coast. He looks forward to many more years of life and strength to continue deserving the honor of membership in the theatrical fraternity.
David has 2 children, 3 grandchildren, 3 grandchildren-in-law and a great grandchild.
Bob Sharkey
A native of New Jersey, Bob studied theatre at Kean University and is a graduate of The Miami International Academy of Film and Television. Actor/producer credits include " A Class Act '' [2022] and '' Casa Valentina'' [2023]. He most recently played King Duncan in the COTU production of Macbeth. Welcome and enjoy the show.
Don Bearden
Don Bearden is a long ago graduate of the Professional Actors' Training Program at the University of Washington. He recently moved to the area from Key West where he still performs. Favorite roles there were from "The Gin Game," "With Bells On" and "1776." Last year Don appeared in "La Cage Aux Folles" for Barclay Performing Arts at the Delray Beach Playhouse and in "Over the River and Through the Woods" with the West Boca Theatre company. He is very excited to make his PPTOPA debut with such a great play and such a great group of theatre veterans.
Richard Weinstock
Richard is excited to be making his onstage return to PPTOPA. A transplant from Philadelphia, highlights of local South Florida theatre roles include Harold Nichols in The Full Monty (LPAC), George Peterson in Same Time, Next Year (WBTC), Marshall Evans in These Arms Of Mine (Main Street Players), Paul in All Together Now (The Play Group), Gregory in Love! Valour! Compassion! (Andrews Living Arts), Melvin P. Thorpe in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (PPTOPA), Albin/Zaza in La Cage Aux Folles (Delray Beach Playhouse), Tateh in Ragtime (Barclay Performing Arts), Man #2 in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (Curtain Call Playhouse) and Wolf in Bent (Rising Action Theatre). A current member of PPTOPA's Board of Directors, Richard was Director of their recent production of Pippin and Assistant to the Director (Jeffrey Bruce) for the musical Cabaret. John Henry Parks
John Henry Parks (Bailiff) is delighted to be a part of this show. He has made prior appearances in Cabaret and A Few Good Men. He spends most of his time either working towards a degree in mechanical engineering or acting as the GM for a number of roleplay groups. He hopes you enjoy the show!
Jeffrey Bruce
Many years ago, Jeff guest-starred in PPTOPA’s production of Gore Vidal’s Best Man. He found a home. He has directed Cabaret, How to Succeed, Gypsy, Best Little Whorehouse, Gypsy, The Mousetrap and A Few Good Men. Jeff has been acting professionally for over half a century. 9 national tours, countless regional productions and too many local productions to list. But! Enough about Me! Welcome to 12 Angry Men. I trust you will be shocked as well as entertained. This play is true theatre...the way it used to be. Those, my friends, were the good old days. Enjoy!
Mark Palazzo
Mark is PPTOPA’s Chairman of the Board and President. His credits include Pippin, Something Rotten, Cabaret, Urinetown, A Few Good Men, The Wedding Singer, The Best Little Whorehouse…, The Addams Family, The Mousetrap, Seussical, West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Judgment at Nuremburg, How to Succeed, In the Heights, She Loves Me, Funny Girl, Young Frankenstein, Carousel, Mary Poppins, Gypsy, The Sunshine Boys, Les Misérables, Man of La Mancha, Joseph…, Hairspray, Charlie Brown, and Annie at PPTOPA. Mark hails from New York where he was a professional Musical Director and theater percussionist.

Wendy, a lifetime lover of musical theatre, has worked on Broadway Through the Years, Pippin, Sweeney Todd, Something Rotten, Cabaret, Urinetown, A Few Good Men, The Wedding Singer, The Best Little Whorehouse..., The Addams Family, Mousetrap, Seussical, West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Judgment at Nuremberg, How to Succeed..., In the Heights, She Loves Me, Funny Girl, Young Frankenstein, Carousel, Mary Poppins, Gypsy, The Sunshine Boys, Les Miserables, Man of La Mancha, Joseph..., Hairspray, Charlie Brown, Annie, The Best Man, The Producers, The Secret Garden, The Gondoliers, Brigadoon, and Bye, Bye Birdie at PPTOPA.
Kim Pitman
Kim is on the Board of Directors at PPTOPA. She has worked in marketing, backstage, front of the house, and group ticket sales. Kim has been involved with numerous productions including 12 Angry Men, Broadway Through the Years, Pippin, Sweeney Todd, Evita, Something Rotten, Cabaret, Urinetown, A Few Good Men, The Wedding Singer, The Best Little Whorehouse, The Addams Family, The Mousetrap, Seussical, West Side Story, Jesus Chris Superstar, Judgment at Nuremburg, How to Succeed, In the Heights, She Loves Me, Funny Girl, The Little Mermaid, Young Frankenstein, Carousel, Mary Poppins, Gypsy, Les Misérables and Man of La Mancha.
Lisa McFadden-Murphy
Lisa thanks her daughter, Kaelea, for bringing her back to theater. She has had enormous joy working on every show since Man of La Mancha in 2014. Her roles have included Props Manager, Backstage Crew, Backstage Manager, Lighting Operator and Stage Manager. She has loved working with every cast and crew and looks forward to what PPTOPA has in store for the future.

Michael has designed the lighting for many PPTOPA shows including Pippin, Sweeney Todd, Evita, Something Rotten, In the Heights, West Side Story, Cabaret, A Few Good Men, The Wedding Singer and more.
