Meet the Company
Katy Lang
Doralee
Katy is an avid-theatre-goer who is excited to have the opportunity to hit the stage again! She has appeared in Wausau Community Theatre’s production of “Cinderella” as well as Out of the Woods Theatre’s “Disenchanted!” When she’s not working on her Dolly impression, you can find her reading and snuggling with her cat, Arlo. Her favorite part of the show are the various country bumpkin expressions: darn tootin’, etc…
Bruce Trueblood
Tinsworthy
Bruce enjoys all aspects of theatre. He has participated in various productions, most recently "A Christmas Carol" as the Ghost of Christmas Present.
Sherry Larson
Margaret
Sherry has been involved in theater since 2008 when her daughter talked her into doing Oliver with CWCT, she later did Seussical, A Christmas Story the Musical, and Children of Eden with this group. She went on to perform with Wausau Community Theater in Sound of Music (twice), Les Miserables, South Pacific, Diary of Anne Frank, and Fiddler on the Roof to mention a few. She also performed with Oasis Theater, and River and Woods Theater. She credits her husband Dan Larson for encouraging her to pursue the arts. They met during Sound of Music, and currently have a Jazz group under the name of the Dan Larson Trio.
Mary Hoffman
Kathy
Originally from MKE, Spend my free time tending my big old house, going to dog parks and doing jigsaw puzzles.
Hunter Frahm
Dick / Ensemble
Hunter is making his debut with River and Woods. His last show appearance was in 2023 with WCT's production of "Spongebob the Musical" where he played Patrick Star.
Katie Oelig
Maria / Ensemble
Katie has enjoyed being in plays with WCT and River and Woods. Most recently in Noses Off with River and Woods. When not doing theatre she loves spending time with her family, husband, and dog!
Paige Dunn
Missy / Dancer / Ensemble
Paige is thrilled to be a part of 9 to 5: The Musical! Inspired by her daughter's passion for theatre, Paige discovered a love for the stage herself. She has appeared in WCTs *Heathers* and *A Christmas Carol* and *Sleepy Hollow* with River and Woods. When not on stage, Paige enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and exploring the outdoors."
Gideon Adams
Josh
This is Gideon's second show, and first musical! His experience as a teen has prepared him well for his role as a teen. He does not plan to gain real world experience for his second role any time soon. His favorite part of the show is the opening song.
Matt Adams
Dwayne
This is Matt's fifth show, and his first musical. He's proud to play one of the only decent men in this show! His experiences playing a Texan in Noses Off and a singing, dancing stringless puppet in True Magic have served well to prepare him for this role, which is basically a combination of those two.
His favorite part of the show is watching Dan really turn on the sleaze in "Here For You", and get his comeuppance later!
Matt Scott
Joe
Matt Scott has been in theater for over two years now, being in shows like Arsenic & Old Lace as well as Noses Off. Matt is excited to be in his first musical with 9 to 5. His favorite part of the show is definitely Violet’s song “One of the Boys”. It’s just too catchy!
Emma Hale
Roz Keith
Originally from Antigo, Emma has been in many productions since age 5, some of her favorites being “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, “Anything Goes”, and “Jekyll and Hyde”. She has lived in Wausau for five years and has enjoyed getting to know the various theatre groups in the area. She is thrilled to be back on stage and hopes everyone enjoys this hysterical production!
Dan Thompson
Franklin Hart
I’ve been type-cast as a villain, or at least a morally dubious individual for nearly every role since I joined the theater community two years ago, and I’d have it no other way!
Mary Shafarik
Judy
Mary has been actively involved in theatre since she was a kid. Some favorite roles include: Maleficent in Descendents, Marmee in Little Women, Aldonza in Man of La Mancha and Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense. Mary is a music teacher and a board-certified music therapist. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping and petting every dog she can.
Keela Coppersmith
Violet
Keela earned her degree in Theatre and Psychology back in 2016 and has been in numerous straight plays over the years, most recently appearing as “Babe” in WCT’s Crimes of the Heart, and Annette Raleigh in God of Carnage. After a 10-year hiatus from performing in musicals, she is ready to jump back in and ‘razzle-dazzle’!
Haley Bjorn
Dancer, Ensemble
Haley Bjorn is excited to be a part of this production! This is her fourth show with River & Woods. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging with her three dogs.
Paige Dunn
Dancer, Ensemble
Paige is thrilled to be a part of 9 to 5: The Musical! Inspired by her daughter's passion for theatre, Paige discovered a love for the stage herself. She has appeared in WCTs *Heathers* and *A Christmas Carol* and *Sleepy Hollow* with River and Woods. When not on stage, Paige enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and exploring the outdoors."
Lindsey Kersten
Dancer, Ensemble
Lindsey is thrilled to return to the stage for the first time since high school—though she refuses to say exactly how long ago that was! A professional photographer by day, she was encouraged to audition by her son Archie and a fellow cast member, theater mom—proof that peer pressure can sometimes lead to great things. Her favorite moment in the show? Hart’s song Here For You—because who doesn’t love a hilariously inappropriate and over-the-top (some might say “sleazy”) musical number? It’s one you just can’t help but sing along to—it’s the best!
Emily Hackworth
Dancer, Ensemble

Monica Helman
Dancer, Ensemble

Nathan Francour
Ensemble
Nathan is playing the part of Bob Enright / Ensemble. This is his second show with the River & Woods Theater, previously appearing in last year's performance of 'Noses Off'. He is excited to be back on the musical stage, and hopes the audience enjoys the song 'Potion Notion' as much as he enjoys singing it.
Jeff McDonald
Ensemble
This performer has been in community theater productions in the Wausau area for the last 25 years, most recently in "Noses Off" and "A Christmas Carol."
His part of the show is pretending to do office work and making Matt Scott laugh!! If this was a classroom, the teacher would definitely NOT let us sit together!
Jaclene Newell
Ensemble
Transform boring office cubicles-into theatre magic? Challenge accepted! This performer has been seen on the stages of Wausau in productions such as Noses off, and she is ready to type-writer dance through this work-place rebellion! She loves community theatre, where there is always a spirit that turns every stage into a home and every cast into family. Like Dolly would say, its about the people who lift you higher than a Tenessee Hairdo!
