Lauren Anne Andersson - MADAME TALE TELLER Lauren is a Fringe veteran excited to be appearing in her 8th show as an Orlando Fringe Artist. Previous Fringe performances include Les MiserABBA, Jaws: the movie: the musical, and A Long Time Ago: the 80’s Strike Back. Outside of Fringe, Lauren can be seen belting her face off on International Drive at Teatro Martini and Pirates Dinner Adventure. When she is not performing, Lauren works as the recruiter for Technical Entertainment at Universal Orlando. To all watching this show, thank you for your love and support, and remember – don’t be a drag, just be a queen!

Emma Licata - STEFANI Emma Licata (She/Her) is thrilled to be making her Orlando Fringe Festival debut! You can catch Emma in local Orlando venues such as Teatro Martini (Jinx) and Country Nights Live (Bronco Betty). Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre from Oklahoma City University. Emma would like to thank Jamie DeHay, Matthew Wyss, Aaron W. Penfield, Rhe’a Hughes and Caila Gowland Metz for their entrustment in being part of the Monster Ball, her fierce cast for making this a fabulous experience. The magic of this unlikely fairytale truly comes to life because of every beautiful soul involved. Emma would lastly like to thank her loved ones for their ever-giving, immense support. To everyone who feels or has felt like an outcast, this one is for you. Put your paws up, Monsters! You were born this way baby!

Dana Gough - ELSY Dana is happy to be back at Fringe after having been seen alongside Drag Race superstar Ginger Minj in 2021’s “ARDEN.” Favorite credits: “The Three Musketeers” and “Henry IV Pt 1” (Orlando Shakes), “Peter and The Starcatcher” (Molly), “Spring Awakening” (Ilse), “Bare: A Pop Opera” (Ivy), and “Carrie” (Chris). Dana can be seen on stages at theme parks and dinner theatres across Orlando! EMC and Proud Wagner College Graduate.

SIR ROBERT
John Aric Cleland - SIR ROBERT Also known by his initials, JAC is “Rah rah ah-ah-ah”ed to be making his Orlando Fringe debut with these beautiful monsters. A Chicago native, JAC most recently spent the last year at sea performing for Disney Cruise Line, and is excited to find his land legs back home on the Orlando stage. Other Orlando credits include “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime” (Theater West End), and “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” (CTCo), as well as performing at Walt Disney Word. JAC is a proud alumni of Syracuse University Department of Drama and the Higher Education program at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London. JAC wants to thank you for supporting live theatre.

Christie Duffer - CINDY Christie is SO excited to make her Orlando Fringe debut as CINDY in A Bad Romance. Favorite roles include Angie Dickinson (The Prom), Elsa Schraeder (The Sound of Music), Laurey (Oklahoma!), Marian (Bridges of Madison County), Musetta (La bohème), and Zerlina (Don Giovanni). She is a native of Illinois where she also earned her master’s degree in Vocal Performance from DePaul University in Chicago. Duffer also teaches 6th and 7th grade music and is a Cycling instructor at Cyclebar. A huge thank you to Jamie, Matthew, Rhe’a, Aaron, and Nishaa for all their creative genius brains colliding and allowing me to be a part. This Cindy is ready to bite back.

Sarah Stokes - SNOW Sarah is thrilled to be making her debut in local Orlando theater with Orlando Fringe. Despite being an active participant in musical theater as a high schooler, this is Sarah's first professional show. By day, Sarah can be found teaching English to middle schoolers or singing with the worship band at College Park United Methodist Church. She'd like to thank her husband for encouraging her to "find a way back to then" by auditioning for this show, and for being her biggest fan. She'd also like to thank her family, friends, and colleagues in the audience, and the incredible cast and crew of A Bad Romance who have set the bar high for how absolutely fun and loving a team can be.

Lily E. Garnett - RORA / Understudy: TALE TELLER, ELSY, STEFANI After Christmas, Fringe season is Lily E. Garnett's favorite time of the year. So she is elated to be returning for the 2023 Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival as Rora in "A Bad Romance"! Lily was last seen at Orlando Fringe 2022 as a vocalist in "The Gay 90s Musical", along with stage managing "Undetectable". Previous Fringe Credits include: Amy in Lil Women (Edmonton Fringe 2018), Hermione in Future Legend (Orlando Fringe 2017), and her premiere solo show, War Paint (Orlando Fringe, PortFringe, and KC Fringe 2019). When she's not Fringing, Lily can be found performing on stages and film sets across Central Florida or making magic with the Frog Choir in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal. A graduate of Rollins College's theatre program, Lily is proudly represented by Lock Talent and is an EMC candidate... Annie Cowden - PUN Annie grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. She moved to the sunshine state in 2021 and absolutely loves it! She studied theatre at Utah Valley University as well as CAP 21 and Queens College in New York. Annie teaches private voice lessons and is a success coach for teens and young adults at HiLite Coaching. Much gratitude to the creative team for trusting me! I am forever grateful for this opportunity to sing "Hair"... being part of a new show has been a great lesson in saying yes to the unknown, the surprises on the other side are greater than you can imagine. I also want to thank every single person in the cast for the fun and loving atmosphere we have had at rehearsal, that has been a truly priceless gift! And s/o to my mom for my lifelong support!

Madisen Rivera - JAZZY Madisen grew up dancing and discovered her passion for theatre while in high school. She now hopes to make a career for herself. Some of her recent credits include Liesl Von Trapp in The Sound of Music with Central Florida Vocal Arts, Disenchanted as Pocahantas/Badroulbadour, Grease as Cha Cha, Suds: The Rocking 60’s Musical Soap Opera as Cindy, The Sound of Music as a nun/ensemble, The Addams Family as an Ancestor all at Theatre Winter Haven and Sister Act as a nun/ensemble at Lakeland Community Theatre. You can also see Madisen perform at Legoland Florida Resort, Peppa Pig Theme Park and she is also a dancer swing with the cruise line Virgin Voyages. She would like to thank her family and friends for their constant support!

Samm Carroll - ARI Samm is super excited to be involved in her first ever Orlando Fringe Festival. You can catch her this summer at Millbrook Playhouse in PA as Madame in "Cinderella" and Rachel in "Escape To Margaritaville". Favorite past credits include: Trixie in the National Tour of "How The Grinch Stole Christmas", Adult Alison in "Fun Home", and Mary Poppins in "Mary Poppins". Stephanie Jolly

Stephanie Jolly - BAE Stephanie is ecstatic to be performing in her first Fringe show with such a phenomenal group! From North Little Rock, Arkansas and graduating from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor’s of Art in Theatre, Stephanie moved to Orlando in 2016 in hopes to make her performing dreams a reality. Over these 6+ years, she has performed at Disney World, Universal Studios, and Seaworld as a character performer, scare actor, dancer, stage performer, and a stilt walker. Stephanie has also performed with Capone’s Dinner and Show as well as The SpongeBob Musical, Legally Blonde the Musical, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Wedding Singer. You can find Stephanie now doing more stilt gigs and working towards getting trainings under her belt to become a group fitness instructor. Thank you so much to Jamie, Matthew, Jon, Aaron, Nishaa, Rhe’a, Caila, Blair, and all of the cast for such an incredible experience and for pouring so much of your time and talents into this incredible show!

Teddy Fournier - PRINCE A Have you ever met a rainbow unicorn? Well, Teddy is about as close as you will get to one! When he’s not parading through Main Street, partying on Sesame Street or fighting supervillains at Islands of Adventure, you can find this guy jamming out to any Lady Gaga song you can think of! He has an extreme love for anything relating to costumes, glitter, mesh and of course, Mother Monster!! This show is the epitome of everything that he loves and he’s extremely grateful to have been included in this production! From day one, he knew this cast was something special when he mentioned on a whim that the next day everyone should wear mesh - AND EVERYONE DID! In such a short amount of time, he has quickly fallen in love with his cast (monster family) and can’t wait to look out into the crowd and see you - yes YOU! Jamming along in the audience! Enjoy the show and please hoot and holler because like all performers, they - LIVE FOR THE APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE!!

Samuel Spare - PRINCE C / Dance Captain Fringe debut! Orlando credits include two years on the snowflake at “Grinchmas” as well as parades such as “Mardi Gras” and “Mickeys Once Upon a Christmastime.” You can also catch him in “Country Nights Live” the new dinner theatre show. Other credits include cruise ship dancing on such lines as NCL, CCL, and Holland America. Favorite roles include Link “Hairspray,” Mike “A Chorus Line,” and many more. Sean Hancock - PRINCE D This is Sean's First Fringe show, and he is so excited to be a part of this production and perform with this amazing cast! He graduated from Columbia State in Commercial Entertainment and was in a Contemporary dance company in Nashville. He has been in local productions in Orlando including Newsies (Mush), Rock of Ages (Jakeeth), White Christmas (Ensemble), and On your Feet (Ensemble). "I've had a blast being a part of this production and can't wait for many more!"

Alexander Lamourt - PRINCE E Alexander is thrilled to be returning to the Orlando Fringe Festival since 2017 (Bitch Perfect). Megan Penfield - Understudy: BAE, JAZZY, ARI, RIRI, PUN, SNOW, CINDY, RORA MeganAlex is an active Central Florida singer, actor, writer, and music instructor. She holds a BME from The Florida State University and an MA from University of Central Florida. MeganAlex has preformed with many local organizations, including Bach Festival of Winter Park, Opera Orlando, Central Florida Vocal Arts, Phoenix Tears Productions, and Little Radical Theatrics. When not involved in a production, MeganAlex does custom sewing and clothing alterations. She lives in Orlando with her husband and two daughters, where she enjoys going to theme parks, bike riding, and swimming.

Chris Eastwood

Chris Eastwood - Understudy: PRINCES Chris Eastwood began his acting career in third grade as First Twin in Midwestern State University’s production of “Peter Pan” (where he would graduate from years later with a B.A. in Mass Communications). After participating in local theatre productions such as “Hansel and Gretel” and “Annie Get Your Gun” and making Texas All-State Choir, he moved to Central Florida after college. He currently works for Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, and D Squared Productions in various capacities as a character performer, puppeteer, and stilt walker. Over the past several years he has been in several award-winning Fringe shows including “Vampire Lesbians of Sodom” and “F**king Men.” He portrayed Bugs in last year’s “Down the Rabbit Hole” and is excited to be returning this year as the male understudy for “A Bad Romance.” His hobbies include singing, acting, standup comedy, guitar, trumpet, and long candlelit walks on the beach while eating tacos with someone he hasn’t met yet.

Jamie DeHay - Executive Producer / Writer / Director / Designer Jamie is a graduate University of North Carolina School of the Arts (Winston-Salem, NC) where he earned a BFA in Scene Design from the School of Design & Production in May of 2016. In 2011, he earned an Associates Degree in Live Entertainment Design & Technology from Valencia College in Orlando, FL. He has done a wide variety of work in both the themed entertainment & performing arts field ranging from theme parks, escape rooms, laser tag arenas, themed environments & events, corporate events & trade shows, live theatre, parties, cabarets, cruise ships, and circus. He works as a freelance designer for various theatre companies in the Central Florida area, as well as serving as Artistic Director / Producer for his own production company, Unseen Images Theatre. Jamie is so excited to be able to work with this talented cast, crew and creative team. Matthew Wyss - Co-Writer / Production Manager Matthew is a graduate from Western Illinois University where he received a BA in Communication as well as Double Minored in Theatre and Dance, Following college he worked for Walt Disney World close to a decade before returning home to Chicago, Illinois. He currently serves as HR Business Partner for an airline catering company. He is beyond thrilled to make his triumphant return to the Orlando Fringe Festival having previously worked as Stage Manager for 2013’s Pillow Talk. Huge thanks to director, writing partner and forever friend Jamie DeHay for collaborating on this project. He is so proud to be a part of this fabulous production along with this remarkably talented cast & crew!

Aaron W. Penfield

Musical Director
Aaron W. Penfield - Musical Director Aaron is thrilled to be back at Orlando Fringe this year with "A Bad Romance"! Previous music directing credits include "Les MiserAbba" (Forced Perspective Entertainment), "The Gay 90's Musical" (Unseen Images Theatre), and twenty Broadway, Jr. musicals at Howard Middle School. Previous performing credits include "The Wizard of Loch Haven Park" (Calhoun), "John and Jen" (piano & percussion), and "Oliver" (Dr. Grimwig). Additionally, Aaron serves as Director of Modern Worship at First United Methodist Church of Orlando. Aaron is an advocate and champion for arts education in Central Florida. He has been the Choral Director at Howard Middle School for the past sixteen years, where he has also taught courses in theatre/drama, piano, guitar, and music technology. He also currently serves as 2nd Vice Chair for Opera Orlando. Aaron would like to thank Jamie and the entire production team for their trust and collaboration, the cast of "A Bad Romance" for their commitment and dedication to the show, and his wife Megan, and the rest of his family, for their unwavering support. Nishaa Joy Johnson

Music Arranger
Nishaa Joy Johnson - Music Arranger Nishaa holds both a Bachelor of Music Degree in Voice Performance and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the University of South Florida, as well her Master's from the University of Central Florida. Nishaa has been a proud advocate for the arts since 2012. She frequently music directs for Central Florida Vocal Arts and Little Radical Theatrics. As as music arranger and collaborative artist, she has worked on new works such as “F*boys, the musical,” “Requiem” and “Mozart and Marie” at the Orlando Fringe Festival, as well as “Melina” produced by Central Florida Vocal Arts.

Rhéa Hughes

Choreographer
Rhéa Hughes - Choreographer Rhéa, pronounced ray-uh, grew up in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina where she began dancing at age four. She received her BA in Dance Education from the University of South Carolina in 2016 and moved to Orlando, FL shortly after graduation. Rhéa has since performed at Sea World, Capone’s Dinner and Show as a Dancer/Singer, and currently is performing at Universal Orlando Resort as a Dancer/Actor. Her theater credits include Little Shop of Horrors (Ensemble), Legally Blonde (Elle’s Mom/Ensemble), A Chorus Line (Judy), SpongeBob the Musical (Choreographer/Electric Skate/Ensemble), The Wild Party (Jackie U/S, Ensemble), and Young Frankenstein (Ensemble/Dance Captain). She can also be found performing with Thomas Wilkins Choreography (Nursecon at Sea) and with Drapinski Dance Company (local and touring). Rhéa is honored to be choreographing for such an amazing cast of beautiful souls. She would like to thank Kelsey Strickland for always believing in her, Jamie DeHay for entertaining every kooky idea, Caila Gowland for being the ultimate partner in crime, and the entire cast and creative team for their flexibility and fire! Caila Gowland

Assistant Choreographer
Caila Gowland - Assistant Choreographer Caila is currently an Entertainment Coordinator for Universal Orlando. Before transitioning into management, Caila was a full time performer and dance captain for Universal’s Superstar Parade. She is the Assistant Director for Drapinski Dance Company, where she choreographs and performs in shows around Orlando. Caila received her BA in Theatre concentrating in Dance and Aerial Silks from Louisiana State University.

Blair Meeker

Light Designer
Blair Meeker - Light Designer Blair is excited to have his debut with Orlando Fringe Festival. He is so grateful to have been given this opportunity to light A Bad Romance. Blair is currently dual majoring in Production Design and Live Theater Technology at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida. His work has been seen in theaters around the United States such as : Westview Theatre (Portland, OR), Theatre South Playhouse (Orlando, FL), and Mary D. Bradford Theater (Kenosha, WI). Some of his notable designs are Frozen the Musical (2023, Westview Theatre), Matilda (2022, Westview Theatre), Women of Lockerbie (2022, Westview Theatre), Chicago (2021, Theatre South Playhouse). Blair would like to show his love and appreciation to his husband, Adam, and his parents, for always allowing him to follow his passion.

Jon Jimenez

Stage Manager
Jon Jimenez - Stage Manager Jon is a Fringe veteran whose credits include directing and starring in ‘John and Jen’, AD for ‘Cannibal! The Musical’, and most recently starting as David in ‘Coffee and Cedar’. All Patron's Pick shows! You may have also seen him at Fringe ArtSpace in Descolonizarte Teatro’s ‘La Señora de la Tortilla’, and In several shows at Breakthrough Theater Company. He is happy to be working with this ultra talented cast, and like Gaga, wants to remind you to “shine in your own way”.

The best singing of all the fringe shows I’ve been to since 2016! We absolutely loved this show. The entire cast was phenomenal. The dancing was great. The costuming was perfect. I just wanted to get up and dance the entire time. It sucks the mics messed up a bit but that’s show biz…kid ;) Congrats on a bad ass production!
