Musicians tune their instruments before they play them, Dancers stretch before they dance and Athlete’s train hard. The Actor is no different, because the Actor too must tune their instrument and practice daily. The only problem is, most Actors don’t have the tools or knowledge on how to practice. I’m here to teach you how to practice and fine tune your acting instrument.
This two-hour workshop is designed to introduce or reinforce the actor with the tools they need to give a more truthful and grounded performance. Relaxation and Sensory Work are the fundamentals of Lee Strasberg’s “The Method” training.
Experience guided relaxation where you will learn how to release physical and mental tension, leaving you feeling present, connected to your instrument and ready to work. You will then learn how to stimulate your imagination, through a guided sensory activated exercise as we discover how to bring an imaginary place to life.
This workshop is for all actors of all levels of training and experience. Whether you’re an influencer who never took an acting class before and want to try one or are a professional actor looking for a place to exercise your acting muscles, this workshop is perfect for you.
