ABOUT THE SHOW
ACT 1
Opener
“Final Girls” are a classic trope in the horror genre, representing the resilient and resourceful young women who often emerge as the last survivors in the face of terrifying and deadly threats. You’ll see our final girls dance the night away as they also succumb to horrifying chills and thrills!
Friday the 13th
Jason Voorhees is an iconic and menacing figure in the world of horror cinema. Jason has since become a symbol of fear and terror. With his signature hockey mask, tattered clothing, and a relentless thirst for vengeance and killing horny teenagers at Camp Crystal Lake, he's a formidable force to be reckoned with.
Now, Jason has come back once again to wreak havoc on a fun night between Jessie and our Final Girl - serving as a reminder that some monsters never truly die.
Halloween
Halloween is a time for reveling in sweet treats, spooky delights, and ushers in the blurring boundary between supernatural and the living. Michael Myers is the embodiment of pure, unrelenting evil that lurks in the shadows during Halloween nights.
Clad in a haunting white mask and boiler suit, he stalks his teenage victims methodically. His eerie silence and relentless pursuit of his sister, Laurie Strode.
Nightmare on Elm Street
Whatever you do - don’t fall asleep.
Freddy Krueger, the central antagonist of the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" film series, is a nightmarish figure who has haunted the dreams of children to seek revenge on the parents who burned him to death.
Freddy is an iconic embodiment of fear with his disfigured face, razored glove, and tattered sweater, but his sadistic and twisted sense of humor and obsession with toying with his victims makes him a truly terrifying villain. Freddy will always be a haunting reminder that even in our most vulnerable moments, we are not safe from the horrors that lurk in the shadows.
He has been chasing children in their dreams for so long that maybe he forgot to chase his own.
IT
We all float down here!
As the children of the Slasher Camp play in the rain in their yellow raincoats, Pennywise is lurking in the shadows, waiting to lure on children and prey on their deepest fears and insecurities.
Scream
Want to survive a horror movie?
Rule #1: Never have sex
Rule #2: Never drink or do drugs
Rule #3: Never ever say, “I’ll be right back”
Unluckily, for Mira, she’s gone and done all three. Now she’s in a fight for her life as she’s dragged into a cat and mouse game with the notorious and Ghostface. Ghostface has a devious penchant for taunting their victims with unsettling phone calls and creating paranoia when a new individual decides to dawn the mask.
INTERMISSION
ACT 2
Scream
Jigsaw isn’t a murderer. Not really. He gives his victims a choice: play a game, live or die, the choice is theirs if they truly value their life. He just doesn’t ask for consent, sets up games that make a frustrating game of 5am Risk seem fun, and is only creating a cult to fuel his godlike complex.
Watch as two helpless victims work together and fight for their lives...
American Psycho | Silence of the Lambs | Jennifer's Body
Axe murders, drunken fools & cannibals, oh my!
Patrick Bateman is a totally normal, charismatic and successful investment banker with a sinister double life as a sadistic serial killer. His dances the line of mundane and macabre while committing horrifying acts of brutality to those who annoy him, inconvenience him or are just existing as a woman. If you meet a man who idolizes Patrick Batemen - RUN.
Hannibal Lecter is a connoisseur of the many delights the world has to offer: Fine arts, scholarly pursuits, music, and the irresistible, tender meat of human beings. He is always manipulating and deceiving those around him, but now Hannibal teams up with his favorite gal pal and human flesh aficionado, Jennifer Check, to take delight in devouring a poor drunken fool that has passed out in their path.
Jennifer is your quintessential high school mean girl: she’s stunning, she’s witty, and she’s got a killer appetite. Even while she’s eating boys - or girls, she swings both ways - it’s hard not to root for this iconic demonic icon.
Closer
Our Final Girls take a stand and prove that they can conquer the tormentors of Slasher Camp! The take their victory lap and walk out triumphantly knowing they can live totally carefree lives.
----
As the Final Girls leave, our villains rise from the grave to take flight and remind us that evil - once unleashed - can be unyielding and enduring.

Meet the Company
Amanda Okolo
Amanda Okolo has been honing her skills as an aerial movement artist for the past several years. She
started pole dancing in 2013 and added circus apparatuses including aerial silks and aerial hoop to her
training in 2015. Amanda currently teaches pole dance at Chrome Fitness in Indianapolis, and competes
and performs around the country. Amanda is a founding member of BIPOC Circus Alliance Midwest, an
organization whose goal is to champion and support people of color in circus arts.
Lauren Watkins
Lauren Watkins grew up loving the stage, she’s always been doing some form of singing, acting, and
dancing at some point in her life.
After a few years of partner acrobatics, she knew she wanted to find something similar she could
perform on her own. So, she joined the circus! She’s been training on silks since 2019 and trapeze since
2022. In her free time, she loves teaching youth classes at the gym, watching horror movies with her
husband, and taking care of her plethora of pets (don’t ask how many snakes she has).
She hopes you enjoy the spooks and scares of the show!
Rachael Steinken
Rachael first began her foray into aerial arts just over 8 years ago. What started as a way to prove that she could get over her fear of heights has resulted in a love of dancing in the sky. She is still very afraid of heights. She has performed in many showcases as well as several shows at Sora Aerial Arts down in Lexington, KY, but this is her first professional appearance in Indianapolis.
Luz Baez
When I was 16, I marveled as I watched my first aerial silks performance. There was so much strength and grace to admire. I have been in love with dancing in the air ever since. Circus has allowed me the freedom to explore movement, to fly, and forget the world below me. Since starting as a teenager, I have traveled and performed with a few different groups. In the last few years, I took some time off to focus on my career. I am now a proud Cardiothoracic surgery PA, but am also happy to get back to my passion of performance. I performed earlier this year with Suspended Aerial Animation at 2023 Girl Pride and now I’m so excited to be part of Circus Slasher Camp.
Brynn Hollingsworth
Brynn does not like the ground and avoids it whenever possible. To this end, she trains in lyra, sling, and
chair. Her inability to sit normally in a chair rivals that of a three year old told they can't get out of their
chair until they finish their vegetables, as you soon will see. And that's when she's in human form. She is
actually a fish, a siren if you will, with 25 years experience as a nationally and internationally ranked
synchronized/artistic swimmer and aquatics performer who occasionally moonlights as a human being
to hang out with her cat who isn't such a fan of water. To keep a roof over said cat's head and to keep
you stubborn lot safe and healthy, she's also a vaccine reviewer for the FDA.
Devin Allen
Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Devin began her aerial journey pre-COVID at TGR Fitness in Ankeny IA. She has since taken up residence at Cirque Indy where she is a student, instructor, and performer. Devin mainly flies on double ribbon fabric and sling but has been known to dabble in the dark arts (hard apparatuses) on occasion. Raised in a family that bonded over all things scary, Devin delights in bringing her love of aerial and horror movies to stage.
Kelsey Scott
I have been a performer my whole life and feel grateful to have found cirque as a new avenue to
perform. I have been doing aerial silks for 5 years now. I've had the privilege of performing in a few
shows and showcases over the years. I enjoy showing my friends and family videos of new skills and
sequences, but it is even more special when they get to watch me perform in person.
Makenzie Duncan
Makenzie has been training in aerial arts for 4.5 years. Her primary focus being in hammock and Lyra,
but also does train in silks and other ground arts as well, such as hatchet throwing and throwing batons.
Only living in Indianapolis for about a year, Makenzie has performed with CirqueIndy in other events
such as Monumental Yoga Indy, spring and winter showcases, and other outdoor events. Makenzie is a
graduate of Indiana University and Ball State University, and is originally from Huntingburg, Indiana.
Makenzie works as a special education teacher specializing in behavior and is in her 10th year in the
profession. She loves to paddle board, read, and hang out with her friends, family, boyfriend, and dog.
Her favorite horror movie is The Thing (1982).
Zackary Herzig
Zackary is a circus artist who grew up in Indiana, and is a graduate of Circadium School of Contemporary Circus. He combines many separate forms of art - whether it be visual, traditional, or forms of circus. His interest lies mainly in the combination of fantastical storytelling, costuming, and movement work. He works with Cyr Wheel and multiple aerial aparrati - including silks, rope, dance trapeze, and straps.
Jackie Beery
Belle Gott
Rachel LaRowe
Rachel grew up dancing from 3 years old until she graduated college. Once she graduated, she wanted a creative outlet for movement but at the time, adult dance classes were limited. She discovered aerial arts in 2014 through pole classes, but fell in love with silks when she started taking classes at Cirque Indy in 2016. After years of taking classes, she rediscovered her passion for performing in 2022. Since then, she has performed in several shows and events around Indianapolis. Outside of circus she loves spending time with her family and being at the lake.
Molly Campbell
Molly is thrilled to join the cast of Circus Slasher Camp and bring life to the iconic sweater-wearing villain of your nightmares. Molly began her aerial career in 2013 with pole fitness. Since then, she’s broadened her aerial repertoire to include a variety of apparatus, with an emphasis on silks, sling/hammock, and rope. Molly also has experience with aerial hoop and lollipop Lyra. She enjoys connecting with her audience as she brings her personal blend of lyrical expression, drama, and sass to the stage.
Molly has had the privilege of performing at a variety of public and private events, including Ciroc the New Year’s, Girl Pride, Museum by Moonlight, and Arthritis Foundation Indiana’s Bone Bash. She would like to thank Kol Knue for putting together such a fun show, and Rachel Shelby for the doubles choreography and encouragement throughout the rehearsal process. Enjoy the show! (…if you dare 😈)
Rebecca Kyrie
Rebecca has been a performer since early childhood, whether acting in plays, singing, or in dance. Having found Aerial Circus Arts later in life, Rebecca enjoys having a practice that utilizes the flexibility she began training as a Dancer. She's been training aerials since 2015, and currently teaches Silks, Lyra, and Sling at CirqueIndy. Rebecca has also been chosen to perform with Suspended Animation Aerials LLC, and CirqueIndy for various events in the Indy area, including events at The Vogue, Harrison Center, and JW Mariott. She has enjoyed bringing her favorite twisty, bendy, splitty choreography to this role.
Bell Lin
Ghostface
Ghostface Victim
Madame Mira specializes in dazzling crowds with a carefully-crafted, classic style of burlesque. Her combination of costume expertise, consistent nod to history and classic dance and theatre background brings a captivating experience to her audience. She has shimmied across stages in NYC, all around Ohio, Indianapolis, Chicago, Memphis, and even as far as Dublin and Cork Ireland. You can find her with Queen Bee Cabaret every 3rd Wednesday at Ghost Baby in Cincinnati as well as shows all around the tri-state area. She is excited to bring a fun, 80s twist to her style this Halloween.
Aside from burlesque- Mira is a talented lyra artist and instructor and trains on multiple other aerial apparatuses as well. She specializes in Duo Lyra acts with her partner- Luna Lovely.
Jigsaw
Emily began training aerial silks in 2021 at Cirque Indy and has been hooked ever since. She made her aerial performance debut there in the Winter 2022 showcase. She loves sharing aerial with others through performing and teaching beginner classes at Cirque Indy.
Koltn Knue
Identifying openly as a neurodivergent polyamorous pansexual ftm man, Kol is dedicated to creating a
safe space for all within his productions. Merging two of his favorite things, 80s music & slasher horror
movies, Kol is excited to be working with so many talented performers to bring his vision to life.
Shelby Staples
I'm Shelby, I've been doing aerial for 2.5 years. I have performed with Suspended Animation Aerials for
Girl Pride '23 and done several showcases and community events. I also teach kids and adult classes at
Cirque Indy.
This is the first show I am helping produce and I am so excited to see it all come together. I
choreographed the 'Our Lips Are Sealed' and 'Call Me'pieces. I hope you enjoy them!
Nora Mutlaq
Nora is one of the producers of the show and loves all things horror and campy! They have been
involved in circus since they were in college - their first circus show being Flight of the Living Dead in
2015. Returning in 2022, they now primarily practice lyra and trapeze, but they have years of experience in gogo dancing,
character work and theater! Nora has a whole 9-5 job that is too boring to explain, but it helps fuel their
addiction for circus, performing and buying shiny things.
Rachel Shelby
Rachel Shelby is an Indianapolis based aerialist and coach. Rachel has performed professionally in
Indiana and Georgia for events like UFC/NFC fights, the Atlanta Arts Festival, Indy Girl Pride, and various
corporate gatherings. She also taught aerial on Fox’s Labor of Love TV show and recently performed
aerial in Beef and Boards stage production of Beauty and the Beast. Outside of dancing in the air and teaching, Rachel co-owns a business with her husband Nick and they are expecting their first child in early 2024.
