Director's Notes
Welcome to CLUE - the Stay at Home Version! We are thrilled that you can join us on this momentous occasion.
The one word that continues to be used to describe this last year is unprecedented. This word is defined as "never done or known before." For Patrick Henry High School Theatre Department, this word rings true in all of our endeavors. Transitioning the live theatre creative process to an all digital one has been an incredibly unprecedented undertaking for all of us. This is the first ever digital play produced by Patrick Henry High School Theatre Department. It is the first time our students have ever acted on a Zoom stage. It is the first time we have used many different kinds of technologies and online applications to do graphic design, video editing, sound design, and social media to help us tell our story. It was my first time directing a full production as the new Theatre teacher. So many firsts! Unprecedented is the exact right word to use.
Creating in the 'unknown", some things didn't always work out as planned. However, it was in these difficult moments where we truly defined our worth. In each moment of challenge, the cast and crew met the demand with a can-do spirit and found solutions that could only be possible by collaborating with talented, innovative, creative and caring individuals.
We hope you enjoy what we were able to accomplish together as an ensemble of actors and technicians. Without you, the audience, this moment of digital theatre would not exist. Thank you for playing such an important role in this unprecedented time!
Enjoy!
