Meet the Company
Jeffrey D. Wilson
Jeffrey has been acting for 37 years. His first role in a Shakespearean play was Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream in 1991. Jeffrey has performed in Olathe and Lawrence, Kansas as well as in Los Angeles and Bakersfield, California. His mother is his biggest supporter and he loves her dearly.
Barbara Berge
Barbara studied drama in London, acted professionally in London, NYC and Regional Theatres, co-founded a wolf sanctuary in NM, moved to Newport and discovered the PAC where she has been acting for Red Octopus Theatre Company since 2004. She is thrilled to be playing Volumnia.
Nikki Paige
Nikki has been living and acting in Newport for almost 20 years. Some of her favorite roles have been Kate Monster in Avenue Q and Frankie in Christmas Belles. When not acting, she ages fish, knits, dances hula, and writes a book every November. Yes, she is very tired.
Frannie Germeshausen
Frannie retired to Newport in 2021, attracted by the presence of multiple performance opportunities. She has been active in radio theater for 25 years. She and husband Steven Kacsmar sing in Coastal Voices, and perform their original songs locally as the duo The Fog Flowers.
Morgan Locklear
Morgan is a writer and musician who grew up in Newport. He has acted in plays since 1982, and began directing in 2001. Morgan currently serves as the Porthole Players board president, and will also be playing Mr. Wormwood in Matilda the Musical which opens Nov. 17th.
Ram Papish
Ram is a professional wildlife enthusiast whose varied career includes biologist, educator, photographer and wildlife artist. He specializes in design and illustration of wayside exhibits. His interests include flowering shrubs, birdwatching, community theater and world travel. His major achievement is appearing in the 2024 “Chicken Daddies” calendar.
Brian Haggerty
Brian is a retired lawyer married to Linda Haggerty. Between them they have five children and four grandchildren, with one more under construction. Brian has volunteered as a firefighter and EMT with the Newport Fire Department for more than 20 years. He has appeared in many plays and musicals in Newport, and sings with the Oregon Coastalaires barbershop chorus and In Progress quartet.
Steven Kacsmar
Steven is a singer/songwriter and producer with 5 CDs to his credit. He has also produced multiple projects for other artists. He is active in Coastal Voices, the premiere vocal ensemble on the central Oregon coast. He has also acted in Shoestring Radio theater for over 20 years.
Skhye N. Morrison
Skyhe hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada, returns to the stage after 13 years of missing out on the fun. Having roles and working tech on many plays including Bye Bye Birdie, Grease, Clue, The Wizard of Oz, A Midsummers Night Dream. She loves cats and is herself a cosmic Jaguar.
Sean Orton
Sean is excited to make his debut with Red Octopus in Coriolanus. Sean and his family moved to Newport in 2015. His hobbies include writing, cooking, and hiking.
Meghan Cahill
Meghan hails from Idaho, where she has performed on a moving train, a hot air balloon, and a cattle ranch.
Cody Larsen
Cody has been involved in the Newport theatre community since his debut as Princeton in Avenue Q. Favorite roles since then include Fester in The Addams Family Musical, Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Sancho Panza in Man of La Mancha. Cody is regularly harassed by a dachshund named Frank and a chihuahua named Henry.
Linda Haggerty
Linda has been performing on stage in Lincoln County since 1997. She sang with the Central Coast Chorale for 20 years and currently sings with the Coastal Aires. Her favorite role was Dolly Levi in The Matchmaker.
Rhya Xing
Rhya is a local artist and student attending OCCC. Rhya has several unpublished books in the works, and she has graced the stage and backstage of the PAC on multiple occasions. The PAC is her favorite theatre to perform in so far.
River Benson
River revels in the smallest roles within community theater. A Texas native, River relocated to Oregon in 2011 and celebrated her first speaking debut in 2014. She embraces the stage's magic by crossing off performing theater from her bucket list.

THE CHRISTMAS SHOW
Newport's Annual Holiday Tradition
The most wonderful nights of the year return December 15-17, 2023! This year we're bringing you a brand new, utterly hilarious holiday treat..."Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and Then Some!)" by Michael Carleton, James FitzGerald, and John K. Alvarez. Directed by Stacy Fischer, this production features local favorites Cody Larsen, Caity Showalter, and Nikki Paige.
OPEN AUDITIONS
Fiddler on the Roof
Local performers are invited to open auditions for our Spring 2024 production of Fiddler on The Roof - a co-production with Oregon Coast Council for the Arts to benefit OCCA's Capital Campaign. The production is directed by Jason Holland, with music direction by Milo Graamans. Auditioners need only attend one audition date (November 11th - OR - 19th) and will be asked to sing 32 bars of a song of their choosing, or a song from the show. Callbacks are by invitation and will take place Monday, November 20th at 6pm. Rehearsals begin in January, and the production runs April 12-28, 2024.
