Aladdin, a clever and kind-hearted street rat, dreams of a better life beyond the streets of Agrabah. Alongside his loyal friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, he tries to stay one step ahead of the scheming Royal Vizier, Jafar. When Aladdin stumbles upon a mysterious magic lamp, he unleashes the all-powerful Genie, who grants him three wishes.

Determined to win the heart of Princess Jasmine, Aladdin uses his newfound power to transform into Prince Ali. But as he embarks on this journey of riches and royalty, he quickly learns that being true to himself is the greatest wish of all. Dallas Akintunde - Jasmine Heyyy y'all, my name is Dallas and I am currently a 8th grader at Strickland Middle School. I have been going to Strickland for the last 3 years and was in theater in 6th grade. Even though I didn't do theater 7th or 8th grade, when giving the opportunity to audition for Aladdin, I did it. I took a big leap and audition for the lead as Jasmine, princess of Agrabah and got it. I am very excited for everyone to see how hard the Aladdin Jr team worked on this musical. Yours truly.

Anna Oliphant - Omar/Ensemble Anna is so excited to be a part of Aladdin Jr.! This is her third show with Strickland Theatre, following A Simpler Time (Mabel/Alex/Sara/Ensemble) and The Price (Ensemble/The Mother Understudy). She has also performed in The Little Mermaid Jr. (Pilot/Ensemble), Newsies Jr. (Ensemble), and many other shows with the Actor’s Conservatory Theatre. When she’s not acting, she loves to play the piano and read. She is so grateful to have such a supportive cast and crew. Brynn Probst - Magic Carpet/Costume Crew/Choreography Crew Brynn has been performing in shows since she was 5 years old. She began at Theater School with James and the Giant Peach (Ensemble), followed by 101 Dalmatians (Penny), and The Music Man (Gracie) at The Campus Theatre. Next came Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Dixie), then The Addams Family (Thing) at Theater School, and most recently at Strickland Middle School in A Simpler Time (Dora, Ensemble). She wishes the entire cast and crew a happy show and she thanks you for coming!

Hi! My name is Juliet and I am so excited to be a part of this show with all of my friends on cast and crew! I have a passion for acting, singing, and dancing and Aladdin Jr. is my sixth show at Strickland. I have also been in The Wizard of Oz (Scarecrow), Over the River and Through the Woods (Aida understudy), Sister Act Jr. (Mary Celeste/Publicity team), A Simpler Time (Dr. Cornwallis/Lady Winthrop/Parent+Child/Publicity Manager/Costumes team), and The Price (Lake/Publicity team/Costumes team). I am also President of the Strickland MS Drama Club, which will be putting on skits (Fairytale Flips) soon at our Induction Ceremony! I’m Faith, and I’ve been in around 8 different musical and plays! I’ve been singing since I came out of the womb, so I guess acting just came along with it. I’m currently in varsity choir, I was in the theater for 2 years, I’m also the drama club event planner. To go along with that I’m student council President, for this play I did the choreography, music, and publicity. Working with the other kids has been a little bit of a struggle but also an exciting journey, I believe that we are all very talented in many ways and that it’ll lead us a long way. We’ve all worked really hard for Aladdin to be a success so enjoy the show!

My name is Samantha (Sammie) Dickerson, and this is my first play I’ve ever taken part in, aside from skits in elementary school. I think costumes is really fun and I might do it again next year in 7th grade. When I first walked into the first rehearsal, I had no idea what I was walking into, but once I got to know my costumes manager and fellow costumes people, it was really fun. To bad I won’t be seeing some of these people next year because they are eighth graders.

She has been a part of several plays, including A Simpler Time and The Price. When she isn't working on plays, she can usually be found reading, playing an instrument, or pondering the meaningless of existence.

Ms. King - Director Ms. King has directed countless shows in Denton. She has appeared on the stage in Denton TX, Killeen TX, Italy (not the one in TX), Hopkinsville KY, and Derby KS. She loves her job, LEGO, and her husband and seven children, though not necessarily in that order. Ms. King graduated from Texas Women's University summa cum laude with a BA in Theatre, emphasis Acting/Directing, and a Musical Theatre Certificate. When she grows up she wants to be LEGO Batman.
