The Young Artist Program at Phillis Wheatley Community Center thanks you for attending our summer camp performance of DISNEY'S THE LION KING KIDS.
We would like to give special thanks to our generous sponsor, Google, who made it possible for us to offer this experience free of charge for our campers.

Meet the Company
Abbigail Littlejohn
Abbi is an inspiring journalist, with an upcoming newsletter (The Gen Z Newsletter) and podcast. She started acting at 8 years old, her first production being HANSEL AND GRETEL. Abbi would like to thank her dad for all his support, though he is no longer with us, she knows that he is watching her and cheering her on.
Heidi McKever
Heidi is excited to have the opportunity to work with everyone. Her past performances include THE WIZARD OF OZ (Head Winkie and Witch of the North). In her free time, Heidi is a competitive swimmer. Heidi would like to thank her parents for getting her to camp every day.
Chloe Gaskin
Chloe likes to sing in her free time. She has 3 siblings that she enjoys spending time with. This will be her first time on stage for a musical!
Kadin Stokes
Kadin is 14 years old and likes to play video games to pass the time. He has two siblings that are 16 and 18. Kadin would like to thank his mom for signing him up for camp, he had a great time.
Cameron Smith
Cameron likes to create new ways to write letters. He has a lot of energy but sometimes is afraid of loud noises. He is very excited to make new friends.
Messiah Aiken
Messiah is 13 years old and in his free time he likes to program games. He is a big movie buff; his favorite movie is Spiderman: Homecoming. Messiah would like to thank his mom and dad for getting him into shows and helping him with his costumes.
Zoey Hailstock
Zoey like to go to the trampoline park in her free time. This will be her first time on stage in a production. She has two brothers and one step-sister. Zoey would like to thank her dad for signing her up for camp.
Kenya Peterson
Kenya is 9 years old who loves to draw, read, and take alone time when needed. She loves being at this theatre camp and believes it has taught her to be nice to others and break out of her comfort zone. Her favorite thing to do is read plays and it has been an inspiration for her. Kenya would like to thank her mom, dad, cousins, and the rest of her family. this camp has inspired her to keep drawing and dive further into the arts!
Krystan Gilmore
This is Krystan's first time in a theatrical production. Her favorite color is purple and has a twin sister in this production with her. She loves going out with friends. Krystan would like to thank her mother for signing her up for this opportunity. She would also like to thank Antoinette for offering this summer program for the youth.
Kirstan Gilmore
Kirstan is happy that she got a chance to experience theatre at this camp and enjoyed her time with the Young Artist Program. At school, she plays flute and is on the cheerleading team. In her free time she likes to do hair. She is a fast learner and loved learning the choreography for the show. Kirstan would like to thank her mother for supporting her and signing her up for this summer camp, "It was a great idea!".
EB Brown
EB likes meeting new people and has had a great time at camp with everyone. In his free time he likes to play video games. When he grows up he wants to be a football player, optician, and wants to join the military. EB would like to thank Antoinette and Ms. Nicole. He also wants to thank his mom from signing him up for this opportunity.
Kyran Mayfield
Kyran would like to thank his mom for signing him up for camp. In his free time he likes to play video games and enjoyed practicing the songs for the show. He likes to watch Naruto and Naruto is his favorite character in the show.
Ja'zayeh Holland
Ja'zayeh loves to play basketball and plays on her school team. She wants to go pro so that she can buy a house for her mom.
Andrea Lopez
Andrea likes to crochet in her free time. She really enjoyed making the costumes for this show.
Sarah Lopez
Sarah likes to to play with her brother when she's not at camp. She is a good student; her favorite subject is science. Her favorite animal is her dog, Junior.
Josiah Sanchez
Josiah is 10 years old and likes to play video games in his free time. He would like to thank Messiah and EB for being his friends throughout this process.
Antoinette Hall
Antoinette joined the PWCC team in December to revitalize the arts program. With an extensive background in music education and with multiple credits in local theatres she is excited to breathe some new life into arts at PWCC.
Nicole Smith, M.Ed.
Ms. Nicole Smith is a graduate of the University of South Carolina-Columbia and also Walden University, where she received her Master of Education degree. She is a middle school educator and has taught for 21 years in the state of South Carolina. Presently, she serves as the theatre teacher at Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher Middle School with Greenville County Schools and was named their 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year. She is passionate about theatre education and has directed several middle school stage productions. She believes that infusing the arts into children's educational experiences is critical in fostering and supporting creativity, communication, confidence, cultural awareness, and collaboration.
