Evil Dead The Musical takes all the elements of the cult classic films The Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 and combines them for one of the craziest, funniest, and bloodiest theatrical experiences of all time. Five college students go to an abandoned cabin in the woods, and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It’s all up to Ash (a housewares employee, turned demon-killing hero), and his trusty chainsaw to save the day. Blood flies. Limbs are dismembered. Demons tell bad jokes… and all to music. The songs in the show are completely off the wall as well. Titles like “All the Men in My Life Keep Getting Killed by Kandarian Demons” and “What the Heck was That?” have had audiences rolling in their seats, and screaming for more and more. This is a pure comedy start to finish. It has fun with the horror genre, and in doing so appeals to a wider audience than you could ever imagine. With this combination of blood, jokes, cheesy effects, and really awesome musical numbers, Evil Dead The Musical is unlike any live show you’ve ever seen. While the Evil Dead films are the definition of cult movies, as a stage show, Evil Dead The Musical has become a cult sensation of its own. By special arrangement with Renaissance Pictures, Ltd. & Studiocanal, Evil Dead The Musical played Off-Broadway in New York, has broken records in Toronto, has won awards in Korea, launched three North American tours, and has had over 500 productions mounted across the globe. Critics rave about it, with everyone from The New York Times to Fangoria giving it top marks. And because this show appeals to both the fans of the films (of which there are tons), and the new audience who loves it purely as a stage show, theatres who put on Evil Dead are blown away by the audience response. Evil Dead The Musical is truly the grooviest show you will ever experience. |

A word from our director-
In 1981, Sam Raimi, with the help of star Bruce Campbell, created a scrappy low-budget horror film called The Evil Dead. They had little more than ambition, grit, and a dream, but that dream became a reality. Forty-three years later, The Evil Dead has grown into a cultural phenomenon, inspiring sequels like Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness, a TV series, video games, and countless spin-offs. Most relevant to tonight, though, is the cult hit that arrived in 2003: Evil Dead: The Musical.
This musical has been one of the greatest creative challenges I’ve ever faced. As someone who has been involved in theatre for nearly 15 years, I’ve performed in many shows, but Evil Dead has a uniquely twisted and hilarious soul that burrowed its way into my heart the moment I first experienced it. When I was asked to direct this show, I knew instantly that I’d love it. its over-the-top action, campy spectacle, and absurdly brilliant humor are exactly the kind of theatre I believe resonates with both performers and audiences alike.
To have Evil Dead: The Musical as my directorial debut is something I couldn’t have dreamed of asking for. I’ve been blessed with an extraordinary cast of young artists who have poured heart, sweat, and laughter into every rehearsal. Their energy, creativity, and commitment have elevated this show into something far greater than I could have imagined. The same goes for our crew, who have tackled technical and artistic challenges head-on.
What you’re about to see tonight is the product of countless hours of hard work, bold choices, and the fearless spirit of collaboration. This cast has embraced the chaos, the comedy, and the heart of this show, and they cannot wait to share it with you.
I am incredibly grateful for your support of Find Your Light, and for being here tonight to celebrate the power of theatre. So sit back and relax. Grab your chainsaw, fasten your seatbelt, and as Ash Williams would say… Groovy.

FIND YOUR LIGHT MENTAL WELLNESS
OUR MISSION
Across Northern Colorado, thousands of youth and adults face obstacles that hinder their personal growth. Lack of access to positive outlets, safe environments, and opportunities to explore their creative potential often leads to a decline in mental wellness. Colorado ranks 43rd in the country for mental health issues and lack of resources. Our programs have proven to be a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change. However, our current facilities and resources limit our ability to serve our growing community.
FYL is launching an ambitious $2 million capital campaign to purchase a building our community can call a forever home. This building will serve as a creative hub for the Northern Colorado community. With your support, we can expand our reach and amplify our impact, offering more people the opportunity to experience the life-changing benefits of the performing arts.
Ways to Give:
- Naming Opportunities: Leave a lasting legacy by naming a space in our new facility.
- Major Gifts: Become a founding supporter of our new building.
- Monthly Giving: Pledge a recurring gift to sustain our vision and ensure our programs thrive for years to come.
