Meet the Company
Nick Meurer
Nick (Ash Williams) is revving up the chainsaw once again, this time stepping into the boots of horror’s grooviest hero. No stranger to larger-than-life roles, Nick has previously played Quasimodo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame), the Beast (Beauty and the Beast), Shrek (Shrek the Musical), Drew Boley (Rock of Ages), Agatha Trunchbull (Matilda), and Scott (Evil Dead: The Musical). When he’s not battling Deadites, Nick has also lent his voice to the harmonies of two award-winning barbershop quartets — proving he can keep demons on pitch as well as in check. Armed with charisma, vocals that can shake the rafters, quick wit, a strong jawline, and the ability to shout “Groovy!” like his life depends on it, Nick is ready to take on the Deadites once again. Nick is ready to lead the charge in this blood-soaked, laugh-filled adventure. Just don’t ask him to lend you a hand. “To my friends & family coming out to support me & this wonderful cast! Love you all!”
Maddie DiDomenico
Maddie (Cheryl) has been haunting Drama Geek Studios for nearly 7 years and has left her mark both on stage and behind the scenes. She’s worked in just about every aspect of theatre — from hair and makeup to costumes, sound, directing, and stage crew — proving that she can keep the magic alive whether she’s in the spotlight or calling the shots backstage. On stage, Maddie has delighted audiences as Olaf (Frozen Jr.), Waitress #1 (Rock of Ages), Shelly (Evil Dead: The Musical), and Pearl (The SpongeBob Musical). She’s also brought cult classics to life in shadow cast performances, playing Columbia and Janet (The Rocky Horror Picture Show) and Shiloh (Repo! The Genetic Opera). Now sinking her teeth into Cheryl, Maddie is ready to shriek, sass, and possibly get possessed — all in the name of good, campy fun. With her track record, she can handle blood, demons, and costume glue in equal measure.
Kylie Imbimbo
Kylie (Annie Knowby) is braving the cabin once again — after playing Cheryl Williams last year, she’s now cracking open the Necronomicon as Annie. Kylie’s past roles include the sassy Karen (The SpongeBob Musical) and the over-the-top Mrs. Wormwood (Matilda). Whether she’s a quirky sea creature, a mischievous daughter, or a demon-fighting archaeologist, Kylie brings energy, humor, and heart to every performance.
This year, Kylie dedicates her performance to her fellow castmates, directors, friends, and family, who have supported and helped her through the waves of life. With that kind of backing, even a cabin full of Deadites doesn’t stand a chance.
Kayla D'Angelo
Kayla (Linda) is thrilled to return to the cabin, this time as Linda. Her past credits include Penny (Hairspray), Mary Magdalene (Jesus Christ Superstar), Regina (Rock of Ages), and she showed off her powerful vocals as a featured soloist in Rent. A longtime fan of the franchise, Kayla has loved Evil Dead since she was 16 — and admits she’s been in love with Bruce Campbell's Ash almost as long.
Outside of Evil Dead, Kayla keeps the cult classics alive by directing shadow cast productions of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Repo! The Genetic Opera, while also performing iconic roles such as Eddie, Frank, Riff Raff, and Blind Mag across various performances. She wants to give a huge thank you to the cast and crew for their dedication and support in bringing this bloody-good show to life.
But Kayla’s greatest — and most favorite — role will always be that of mom, where the standing ovations are endless, and the love is the truest kind of spotlight.
Jake Kantrowitz
Jake (Scott) is ready to bring his charm (and probably his doom) to the cabin as Scott. A recent graduate of Rowan University with a degree in Theatre, Jake has already built an impressive résumé, with past credits including Mark Cohen (Rent), Jack Point (Yeomen of the Guard), Phineas Flynn (Phineas and Ferb: The Musical!), and the Doctor (Exit the King).
When Jake isn’t on stage, he’s likely obsessing over Formula 1 — proving that whether it’s fast cars or fast-paced horror-comedy musicals, he’s always chasing the thrill. Armed with training, talent, and a willingness to risk being possessed by the Book of the Dead, Jake is more than ready to face the blood-soaked chaos of Evil Dead: The Musical.
Sophie DiDomenico
Sophie (Shelly) is ready to scream, sass, and maybe lose a few limbs in her turn as Shelly. She’s previously appeared in the ensembles of Frozen Jr. and Rent, where she was also featured as a duet dancer.
Now stepping into the blood-soaked cabin, Sophie is excited to bring her energy and dance chops to this unforgettable role. With her talent and flair, she’s ready to prove that even when demons come knocking, Shelly can still steal the spotlight.
JW Rothchild
JW (Good Ol' Reliable Jake) is stepping out from behind the lights and into the cabin again this year as Jake, proving he’s just as deadly on stage as he is off. Known as a lighting design extraordinaire, JW has also tackled roles such as Caiaphas and Pontius Pilate (Jesus Christ Superstar), Dennis Dupree (Rock of Ages), The Man (Rent), and Good Ol' Reliable Jake in Evil Dead (2024).
When he’s not covered in blood and lumberjacking through demon chaos, JW is busy building shows from the ground up. An ordained minister (in case you were hoping for an exorcism tonight), he’ll next be seen in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, which hits the Drama Geek stage this November.
Drew Renaldo
Drew (Ed Getley) is thrilled to return to the cabin of chaos, reprising his role as Associate Professor Ed Getley. When he’s not dodging Deadites and drowning in fake blood, Drew wears many hats — he’s a college professor, an avid horror fanatic, and the writer/director of this past spring’s Alice in Wonderland. On stage, Drew has tackled a wide range of roles, from the larger-than-life Edna Turnblad (Hairspray) and the bumbling Mr. Wormwood (Matilda), Lt. Kendrick (A Few Good Men), Mr. Krabs (The SpongeBob Musical), John Truitt (Meet Me in St. Louis), and many others. This performance is lovingly dedicated to the memories of his dad, Robert, and his uncle, Barry — whose love of theatre and music inspire him every day. And as always… if Ed makes it out alive, it’ll be a miracle.
Will Coles
Will (Professor Raymond Knowby) has the honor (and curse) of cracking open the Necronomicon this year as Professor Knowby — because what could possibly go wrong with ancient demon-summoning texts? Will’s theatre credits include Simon Zealots (Jesus Christ Superstar), Sam Weinberg (A Few Good Men), and Rent. On screen, he’s also done background work in the movie Down to You and the TV series Strangers With Candy.
Behind the camera, Will won the Jersey Fresh Best Director Award at the Red Bank Film Festival for his film Opposite Attraction. A proud Montclair University alum (and yes, he’ll remind you of that fact daily), Will made his return to the stage after a decades-long absence earlier this year and will next be seen in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest this November.
Armed with a festival award, a degree, and a very suspicious-looking tape recorder, Will is ready to bring professorial flair — and maybe a few Deadites — to the Drama Geek stage. Class is officially in session.
Noah Renaldo
Noah (Moose) is back in the cabin reprising his role as Moose — because the show just isn’t complete without him cracking jokes and dodging Deadites. A student at Newton High School, Noah is also active in both marching band and Harmonics, proving his talent extends well beyond the stage.
At just 14, Noah has already performed in 22 shows in 4 years, with standout roles including Jack Kelly (Newsies), Moose (Evil Dead: The Musical 2024), IQ (Hairspray), Michael Wormwood (Matilda), Lord Farquaad (Shrek), Perch Perkins (The SpongeBob Musical), and ensemble appearances in Rent and Jesus Christ Superstar, among many others.
With a résumé this full and a passion for performance, Noah is building a bright future in the arts — one role (and one bucket of fake blood) at a time.
Cainaan DiDomenico
Cainaan (Moose) is stomping back into the cabin as Moose, bringing jokes, energy, and just enough chaos to keep the Deadites on their toes. Past credits include Electric Skate #3 (The SpongeBob Musical), Joey Primo (Rock of Ages), Duane (Hairspray), Ash’s Hand (Evil Dead: The Musical), and John the Apostle (Jesus Christ Superstar).
Cainaan has also taken on cult classics in shadow cast productions of The Rocky Horror Picture Show — rotating between Brad, Eddie, and Dr. Scott — as well as Repo! The Genetic Opera, where he stole hearts (and organs) as the Grave Robber. Whether he’s a hand, a Moose, or a glam rocker, Cainaan is always ready to dive into the blood, sweat, and camp of the Drama Geek stage and is ready to prove that one Moose is never enough.
Yes, there are two Mooses in this cabin. No, we don’t know if the plural is Moose, Meese, or Moosen. We just know the Deadites are in big trouble.
Brighid Rose
Brighid (Headless Body) is making her Drama Geek Studios debut in Evil Dead: The Musical — and what better way to start than by losing her head on stage? Brighid has been performing for 7 years, with one especially meaningful role being her participation in The Laramie Project at Sparta High School last fall.
Though new to our company, she’s already proving she has the guts (literally) to hang with the rest of the cabin crew. Brighid hopes her castmates have as much fun performing as the audience will watching — and she’s excited to bring her energy, talent, and a little extra horror flair to this bloody good time… even if she can’t technically face the audience.
Tori Torres
Tori (Ash’s Hand) is back for her second Drama Geek Studios show (and fourth overall), after appearing in The SpongeBob Musical (DGS), The Addams Family, and Frozen Jr. She’s been doing theatre for three years now, and while acting is her favorite part of the process, her many years of dance experience make her a natural on stage — even when she’s just a severed hand crawling across the cabin floor.
With powerful vocals waiting in the wings and plans to continue performing in both Drama Geek Studios productions and the plays and musicals at High Point High School, Tori is just getting started. For now, she’s thrilled to lend a hand… though this one might have a mind of its own.
Kevin W. Casey
Kevin (Fake Shemp) may be lurking in the shadows as Fake Shemp this year, but don’t be fooled — he’s got the training to save you from more than just Deadites. Certified in Mental Health First Aid, CPR, and the Heimlich maneuver, Kevin is prepared for any onstage (or offstage) emergency… though sadly, none of those certifications cover “Necronomicon possession.”
A recent graduate of CCM with a degree in Musical Theatre, Kevin’s past roles include Peter Pan, Home Alone, Guys and Dolls, The Addams Family, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Light in the Piazza, The Little Mermaid, Hairspray, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The SpongeBob Musical, among others. With his mix of talent, training, and willingness to play the weirdest roles in the cabin, Kevin is proof that one Shemp is never enough.
Steve Johnson
Steve (Fake Shemp) has survived more stages than Deadites, and now he’s back in the cabin chaos as Fake Shemp. His past roles include Wilbur Turnblad (Hairspray), Professor Knowby / Killer Body (Evil Dead: The Musical), Patchy the Pirate (The SpongeBob Musical), and Captain Isaac Whitaker (A Few Good Men).
Offstage, Steve is just as fearless — he achieved the Spartan Trifecta in 2018, proving he can handle mud, fire, and obstacles almost as well as buckets of fake blood. A Drama Geek veteran, Steve is once again ready to throw himself (literally) into the role and remind audiences that sometimes the creepiest characters are the ones lurking in the background.
Adelyn Renaldo
Adelyn (Fake Shemp) might be small, but she’s no stranger to big roles — or buckets of fake blood. She’s previously played Chip (Beauty and the Beast), Buttons (Newsies), Tiny Tim (A Christmas Carol), the Caterpillar and the Dormouse (Alice in Wonderland), and Lavender and Amanda Thripp (Matilda). Last year, Adelyn was the surprise Deadite Baby in Evil Dead: The Musical, making this her second bloody trip to the cabin.
At just 10 years old, Adelyn has already written her own show and is currently working on a novel — proving that her creativity stretches far beyond the stage. Now taking on the bizarre and bloody world of Fake Shemp, she’s excited to show that even the youngest members of the cabin crew can leave their mark… especially when that mark is a trail of stage blood.
Felippe Jean-Jacques Baguette de la Croak
Born in the royal lily ponds just outside Paris (or so he claims), Felippe Jean-Jacques Baguette de la Croak insists he is of noble frog bloodline — the last surviving heir to the House of Croak, a long line of aristocratic amphibians who once ruled over the swamps of France.
According to Felippe, his ancestors dined exclusively on the finest imported flies, sipped dewdrops served in golden acorn caps, and hosted extravagant masquerade balls for snails and turtles alike. He likes to remind everyone that he himself is fluent in “three languages: French, Ribbit, and Dramatic Gasp.”
Felippe moved to the big city (a tiny puddle in the corner of the park) after declaring himself an “artist of the amphibian stage.” He dreams of stardom — one day starring in a grand opera where every note is replaced by a croak. Until then, he spends his days bragging about his lineage, polishing his imaginary crown, and writing sonnets about baguettes.
When asked if his outrageous stories are true, Felippe simply adjusts his bow tie, puffs out his chest, and says:
“Mon ami… a true gentleman never explains, he only entertains!”
Joshua Reed
Josh (Director) has been in the theatre world his entire life and has spent the last 11 years building Drama Geek Studios into a thriving home for performers, creatives, and audiences alike. As the founder of the company, Josh has produced an incredible 71 shows — from splashy musicals to blood-soaked cult classics — always with a mix of passion, vision, and just the right amount of chaos.
Guiding the cast of Evil Dead: The Musical from page to stage, Josh promises audiences a night of laughter, scares, and gallons of fake blood. And while he swears no Necronomicons were harmed in the making of this production, he can’t guarantee the same for the actors.
Sam Garcia
Sam (Music Director) is back for his 7th time leading the band of Deadites, having previously music directed Newsies, Hairspray, Chicago, Beauty and the Beast, The SpongeBob Musical, and assisted on Rent, before tackling this year’s bloody-good return of Evil Dead: The Musical. On stage, Sam has also lit up Drama Geek Studios productions as Angel (Rent), Lord Farquaad (Shrek), Lumiere (Beauty and the Beast), and Corny Collins (Hairspray).
With a résumé full of fan-favorite shows and a love for this cult-horror franchise, Sam is thrilled to help summon both music and mayhem from the pit. He would like to dedicate his work on Evil Dead to the cast and crew for making such an amazing show with him: “Evil Dead truly is one of my favorite horror franchises of all time and seeing it come to life in this way is incredible. Thank you cast and crew for all your hard work and support.”
Kayla D'Angelo
Kayla (Costumer) keeps the cabin looking bloody fabulous. From possessed plaid to chainsaw chic, she makes sure every Deadite looks their horrifying best. A Drama Geek veteran both on stage and behind the scenes, Kayla brings creativity, flair, and a keen eye for detail to every costume she touches — even if some of them end up splattered in fake blood by intermission.
When she’s not stitching, styling, or saving someone’s quick change, Kayla can be found directing and performing in shadow cast productions of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Repo! The Genetic Opera. Whether it’s sequins or screams, she’s always dressed for the occasion.
Kelly Renaldo
Kelly (Stage Manager) has been a vital force at Drama Geek Studios since Rock of Ages, keeping shows running smoother than a Deadite sliding across the cabin floor. She has stage managed Hairspray, Chicago, Evil Dead, Beauty and the Beast, Jesus Christ Superstar, A Few Good Men, Rent, and The SpongeBob Musical.
Though she’s only appeared on stage once — in the ensemble of Jesus Christ Superstar — Kelly quickly decided she preferred pulling the strings from backstage and lighting up the stage from the booth. After all, someone has to keep the actors in line, the blood flowing on cue, and the Necronomicon from wandering off. Without Kelly, this cabin would fall into chaos long before Act I.
Kathy Reed
Kathy (Front of House Manager) is the first face you see when you enter the theater and the reason everything runs smoothly before the blood starts flying. Without her, the cabin doors wouldn’t even open and none of us would make it to our seats — let alone survive the night. Kathy keeps the chaos under control, the audience happy, and the front of house running tighter than Ash’s grip on his chainsaw.
So if you make it out of the woods alive, be sure to thank Kathy on your way out — she’s the real hero of this horror story.
