Welcome to GHOSTRAVE at "Club Timesend," your queer-friendly, family-friendly San Francisco South of Market club.

DJ Brandon is spinning. He's got milkcrates-full of fresh 90's tracks to spin tonight. Grab a drink, head into the club proper, stake out your own personal chillspace either standing or sitting or a mix of both. Please, no drinks on the dancefloor for everyone's safety!

When the beat hits you, get out there on the dancefloor. We'll help guide you to make sure we all stay safe.

While you're here, you're welcome to grab a beverage, hit the john (no drugs!), change seats, chill in the bar.

Silence any non-1990 devices on your person, and please, per Equity regulations, no photos or video/audio recordings.

About This Workshop Production

Aho! GhostRave: an immersive indigiqueer electronic opera began as a casual exchange between writer, director, and producer Jerome Joseph Gentes and composer, music producer, and DJ Brandon M. P. Roberts during another immersive opera production. Almost two years later, this workshop production is the first manifestation of that chat, complete with an original story, script, score, songs, and a talented, hard-working cast and crew.

We're calling this a workshop production for a number of reasons: We invited but didn't require the performers to memorize their parts and their lyrics. We directed them and the designers and crew to convey a full production, but not so much that we needed to perform super-precisely. We also didn't design the production as fully as we hope to in the future. Our goal is to give you a solid experience of what this immersive indigiqueer electronic opera production is, and will be as we refine and develop it further.

Mostly we wanted to play this piece for and with you, and to play with you. In that spirit, therefore, we invite you to move around the space from the lobby bar to the dancefloor to the DJ booth and so on as much as you feel comfortable doing. The space between the four columns is where the main action happens, and for your safety we may invite you to sit on its edges or in the seats at some points rather than join us out on the floor. You're welcome to bring drinks (no food, please!) into the club, but not out on the dancefloor.

Performers may interact with you, and you're welcome to interact with them. Like Chayson, if you prefer that we leave you alone, make a simple gesture to let us know to do so. In turn, we ask you to have fun and to respect the performers' persons and being.

The nearest restrooms are on this building's 2nd floor. Stairs are out the entrance to our lobby bar, down the hall, and to the left.

In the event of an emergency, those stairs are the way out of the building.

Turn off sound on all soundmaking devices, please. No audio recording please, but you're welcome to take photos and short videos!
