A word from our director Brittany Grim-

 

"Being one of the first theatre companies in Colorado to produce Hadestown Teen Edition, I knew we had to go BIG. With this cast and production staff, I knew anything was possible. 

This show has been a great challenge for everyone involved. 

I always loved the music in this show and saw it once in Denver. But I didn't really fall in love with the show until we were a couple weeks into rehearsals. 

The story of Orpheus and Eurydice is a famous Greek tragedy. Hadestown Teen Edition takes that tragedy and brings it new meaning. This show is about hope. We are presented with the same test until we learn the lesson, with hope that we learn the lesson and grow. 

 

I am dedicating this show to my brother Brandon. You have a gift to give, like Orpheus. And although life feels more like a tragedy right now, your fight and hope for the future brings fight and hope to us all. You "make us see the world how it could be, in spite of the way that it is". Spring will come again."

OUR MISSION

Across Northern Colorado, thousands of youth and adults face obstacles that hinder their personal growth. Lack of access to positive outlets, safe environments, and opportunities to explore their creative potential often leads to a decline in mental wellness. Colorado ranks 43rd in the country for mental health issues and lack of resources. Our programs have proven to be a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change. However, our current facilities and resources limit our ability to serve our growing community.

 

FYL is launching an ambitious $2 million capital campaign to purchase a building our community can call a forever home. This building will serve as a creative hub for the Northern Colorado community. With your support, we can expand our reach and amplify our impact, offering more people the opportunity to experience the life-changing benefits of the performing arts.
