President’s Note

Welcome to the Student Theatre Ensemble’s production, in coordination with the Salem State Theatre Department of Hail Mary! by Tom Dudzick directed by Mish Pothier.

The Student Theatre Ensemble is an entirely student run group at Salem State. STE aims to provide creative arts opportunities across the Salem State campus for students of all majors and demographics. STE welcomes and encourages the creativity of all students, regardless of major, concentration, or skill level. Students collaborate together to create their own art, pieces that can be proud of, while learning valuable lessons about the theatre industry and beyond. This year, our student group is especially admirable because our cast, crew and production team are overcoming never before seen odds and working in a new modality to make theatre. I am in awe of how they have persevered, despite everything thrown at them in terms of making sure that safety is the number one priority and transforming the play into a digital format. We also owe thanks to our incredible department and their help in making this process as smooth as possible and for making it happen. Hail Mary! explores religion and love through a comedic format, a fun show to close off our year.
