Liam Malaghan

Liam... is not sure what to write. He is very excited to be playing Troy in this show, and is trying his best to make everyone proud! when not working on this, you'll often find him listening to music by the Beatles, Van Halen, Tool, and others, playing video Games ( Fallout New Vegas, Yakuza 0, and Red Dead Redemption 2 are his favs!), and learning guitar on his own time. He wishes you awesomeness and tells you to wear your Seat Belt!!!!!

Lilie Cruz

Lilie, who is in 8th grade, is so thrilled to be portraying Gabriella in one of her last shows as a middle schooler. Lilie has truly enjoyed preparing for this show and has made so many friendships throughout these past two semesters. She would like to give a tremendous thanks to Mrs. Milchman, who inspired her to take every opportunity and brought her to a place she would have never imagined possible. Melo Miranda Cordeiro

This is Melo Miranda Cordeiro’s fifth show of her drama career. She's bursting with enthusiasm about her role, Sharpay, in the Middle School production of High School Musical! At such a young age she has found her passion for singing and acting. Transitioning to a new chapter in her life and leaving behind familiar faces can be tough, but it’s also an opportunity to discover new passions and choices that she will have to make. With her love for performing, Melo will continue to shine brightly on stage and make many unforgettable memories along the way! Don’t want to miss the opportunity to thank her amazing drama teacher, Mrs. Ryan Milchman, for her unconditional support to Melo. She has been an inspiration and a great role model. Willow Sweet

Willow Sweet (Ryan Evans/ Ensemble) Willow enjoys acting, musical theater and recently learning the technical side of theater performances. Willow has recently begun writing a one act play and a musical script. She has taken four years of dance including tap (her favorite), jazz and hip hop. She is thankful to have had these last 3 years to perform with her friends before heading off to high school next year. When she wins her first Tony award she will be thinking of and thanking those who helped her get to Broadway.

Jessica is super excited to have the opportunity to be in high school musical as Kelsi Neilson as this was the character that she was hoping to play. this is going to be her 8th production and she so proud to be a part of it. Dexter is a 13 year old that is in 7th grade who loves to act, do videos, and do theater. Performing is the best part of this show for him. Jennifer Kale is the music director for the Musical Theater class at GMS, as well as the choir director. She is thrilled to have the chance to play along with her students on stage! When not teaching middle schoolers, she can be found hanging out with her family, reading a good book, or walking her dog.

Willie Briggs

This will be my first role in a musical since performing in the pit for Singing In the Rain, Little Shop of Horrors, The Music Man and South Pacific. I am excited to get my whistle back out after not coaching for many years. I am looking forward to getting my head back in the game and learning how to sing again. I have also enjoyed preparing the drumline for their role in HSM. While the role of Coach Bolton is not about music, I get to play both sides of the theatre for HSM.

Katie is so excited to be making her return to the stage and her GMS acting debut in High School Musical, a show that has had her heart since it first came out when she was in middle school! Katie has been doing theater since age 7 and got her BA in Theater Studies and Musical Theater minor at Montclair State University. She not only plays a science teacher in the show, but is actually a part of the Science Department here at GMS! She would like to thank Mrs. Milchman and the cast for welcoming her with open arms and making one of her theater dreams a reality.

Chris is a 13 year old and an 8th grader who loves to act and loves to do theater! Studying lines, working on music, and working with his fellow classmates is the best thing about this show to him and making new friends along the way was the best part for him. He hopes to pursue his love for theater in his future and become a star! She gives a huge thanks to Mrs. Milchman, Mrs. Kale, Mrs. Deluca, Mr. Briggs for their help into making this show the best show ever!

Gabriella Milchman

Gabby is so excited to be making her Gray Middle School Musical debut. Having grown up in this theatre since she was 2 years old, she is ecstatic to finally have her turn on this stage. Gabby made her professional acting debut at the age of 9. She was seen in several movies and television shows (including Denial, Netherlands, Dance for Me and more), as well as The Narrator in Beauty and the Beast at The Garden Theatre under the amazing tutelage of Roberta Emerson, and Fan/Want/Lucy in A Christmas Carol at Orlando Shakes. She would like to thank her family and friends for their unwavering support, especially her mwommy who is the best mwommy in the entire world.

Robert is so exhilarated to be performing this musical performance. He went from not knowing anything to feeling so confident in his acting. He feels so honored that he got cast as a main character, he is so thankful to his mom, dad, tata, abwelito, and Miss. Milchman, Jolean, and Rylee, Vanessa. As his first time going to an audition, he was so humbled when he got the news that he was the understudy for Ryan Evans that he started crying and screaming so loud that the next-door neighbor could hear him. His mom came out of her room and yelled “What happened!” and that's where his journey started in the course of musical theater. Know matter what happens he keeps going and gets stronger and stronger along the way.

Rachel is wicked excited to be in High School Musical! This is her third and final show at Gray. She has previously played Linus in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown and Monica in Freaky Friday. Out of the theatre she enjoys skateboarding, drawing, basketball, crocheting, and going to the beach. Rachel wants to thank her amazing friends, teachers, and awesome family! Trista Bennett is 12 years old. Trista Bennett is really thrilled to be in High School Musical. This is gonna be her 4th ever theatre show. Jazmin is a 12 year old in the 7th grade, she is a very talkative person, she likes to sing, dance, and loves to act. her first major performance was Mrs. peacock in CLUE high school edition. she has loved acting since she was really little. High school musical would be her first performance at GMS. she hopes to become a famous actress and hopes to one day meet brodway stars. when she is not acting, she likes to research history. she would like to thank her mom, for never giving up on her, mr. cotton, her old theater director, for pushing her to try her best, and mrs. milchman, for being a great theater teacher/ director.

My name is Chloe Fast, i play a cheerleader and a skater in High School Musical. I have participated in a few plays including Freaky Friday(Kitty), Puffs(Bippy), The Big Bad Mouse(1st elephant), The Day The Internet Died(Nina), an When Bad Things Happen to Good Actors(Ojo) I’m so happy with where i am in acting right now i feel like i have grown so much in the past 2 years then ever before. I'm Valeria, a lot of people know me as Val. Percussion is what I play in band and it is what I enjoy doing most during the day. i think band has brought out the person I really am, and to be honest, my life has gotten better. This is Mrs. Milchman's 12th year working here at Gray Middle School, and she has lost count of how many shows. She spends more waking hours in this auditorium than she does her own home, and loves it just as much. She is so incredibly excited for you to see all the hard work that went into High School Musical. Theatre was tough after Covid, but nobody can keep us down, and she's so proud to say that GMS is officially back, bigger and better than ever. Special thanks to the Drama Boosters for ALL your INCREDIBLY hard work, Mrs. DeLuca, Mr. Briggs, Mrs. Kale, and GMS Administration for (trying) to keep me sane, and most importantly my family: Mr. Milchman, Gabby, Vincent, and Bella as well as her parents and mother in law that drive hundreds of miles every show to support.
