Troy has appeared many times before at City Garage, including such roles as Agamemnon in "Agamemnon," Pentheus in "The Baccae," Agamemnon in "Iphiginia," Berenger in "Rhinoceros," Valmont in "Quartet" (winner, LA Weekly Theater Award for Best Performance: One Act), Mr. Martin in "The Bald Soprano" (extended), Baritone Sax in "365," Debuisson in "The Mission (Accomplished)," First Man in "Bad Penny," Dorante in "The Bourgeois Gentilhomme" (2008 and 2019), Talthybius in "The Trojan Women," the Clown in Charles L. Mee’s "Paradise Park," Man 3 in "Filthy Talk for Troubled Times," Oronte in "The School for Wives," Dogsborough in "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui," Rudolph in "Winter Solstice," Berenger in "Exit the King," and Leopold in "Largo Desolato."
Gifford Irvine

Born and raised in Los Angeles, graduate of Loyola High School and UCLA. Gifford is grateful for the opportunity to work with City Garage once again, after successful runs as Man, 40 in City Garage’s recent streaming project “Four from 10 x 10” by Neal LaBute and previously here in "Largo Desolato," "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui," "Eurydice," and "Department of Dreams." He has worked this last year on several projects including "Brothers in Arms," "Don’t Leave Me This Way," and "Take off the Mask." There are several projects in the pipeline at present, and in addition to acting Gifford has also written multiple screenplays and is currently meeting with investors to finalize financing for multiple film projects.
Nathan Dana Aldrich

A longtime City Garage member, Nathan has done time behind bars in Charles Duncombe’s CAGED, twice bedeviled MASTER & MARGARITA-loving locals at Bergamot in MOSKVA and BULGAKOV/MOLIERE, Hammed it up with Heiner Muller & Frederique in the alleys of downtown Santa Monica and had a big, bad turn there chewing scenery as THE UNIVERSAL WOLF way-back-when in ‘96. p.s A "Hugh" Thank You/Merci to C&F for inviting me back.
Frédérique Michel
Frédérique was born in Paris and studied theatre at the Conservatoire. She has led the company as Artistic Director since its founding in 1987. She has directed more than a hundred plays and received numerous nominations and awards from Dramalogue, the LA Weekly, and Stage Raw. At the 2009 LA Weekly Theater Awards, along with Duncombe, she received the “Queen of the Angels Award” for “decades of directing and producing scintillating, politically charged theater that challenges audiences to reconsider their assumptions about the nature of politics and the nature of theater itself.” In 2011 she and Duncombe received the LA Drama Critic’s Circle Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatre. She and Duncombe have also been honored for their translations of Moliere and Beaumarchais. Recent works at City Garage are "The Bourgeois Gentleman" by Moliere, "Exit the King" by Eugene Ionesco, "Eurydice" by Sarah Ruhl, "Department of Dreams" by Jeton Neziraj, "Largo Desolato," and the company's first ever streaming presentation, Neal LaBute’s “Four from 10 x 10."
Charles A. Duncombe
Charles is a writer, director and designer. He began his partnership with Frédérique Michel in 1985, and he has designed all of her work since then. He has received numerous nominations and awards for production design, for his original works, and for his adaptations. His play "Patriot Act" won the Fratti/Newman Award for Political Playwriting in 2005 and opened in New York at the Castillo Theater as part of their 2008 season. At the 2009 LA Weekly Theater Awards, he received (along with Frédérique Michel) the “Queen of the Angels Award” for their contributions to Los Angeles theater. In 2011 he and Michel received the Los Angeles Drama Critic’s Circle Award for “Sustained Excellence in Theatre.” His recent plays at City Garage are "Caged" (2013), "Bulgakov/Moliere" (2014), "Timepiece" (2015), "Othello/Desdemona" (2016), and "Phoebe Zeitgeist Returns To Earth" (2016). His adaptation of Müller, "Hamletmachine: The Arab Spring," was nominated by Stage Raw for Best Adaptation. He received a Production Design nomination in 2017 for "right left with heels."
Paul Rubenstein
Paul has served as City Garage's resident Sound Designer for nearly 20 years. In 2009 he won the LA Weekly Theater Award for Sound Design for his work on City Garage’s production of "The Mission: Accomplished." Before turning exclusively to work behind the scenes, Paul performed in 10 productions at City Garage. He received a Backstage West Garlands Award Honorable Mention for his performance in the U.S. premiere of Ionesco’s haunting valedictory "Journeys Among The Dead," and appeared in "The Battle: ABC," “Best Ensemble” winner at the 2006 LA Weekly Theater Awards.
Josephine Poinsot
As the company's in-house costume designer, Josephine is the architect of City's Garage's signature costume palette, always ensuring performers are attired in the proper shades of red, white, and black.
Anthony Sannazzaro
Anthony has worked on numerous plays at City Garage and around the LA area. He has also directed multiple plays as well as a handful of feature films and shorts. He was last seen onstage at City Garage in "Largo Desolato."
Trace Taylor
Trace Taylor began acting as a child in Cheltenham Glos., UK with Cheltenham Theatre & Gloucester County Youth Drama. Professional work continued in the United States in regional theatres and on PBS in Florida and New York. Off Broadway musical theatre and Broadway Cabaret credits include "Alice in Wonderland," "Mary Poppins," and "The Mamet Women" as well work with The Theatre Guild in NYC as associate producer for Susannah York’s "The Loves of Shakespeares Women." A German Voice Over for Robert DeNiro’s "The Good Shepherd" and being a double for Reba McEntire have also a been a few highlights. She has been seen at City Garage in "Phoebe Zeitgiest Returns to Earth" and "Hamletmachine: The Arab Spring" along with the company’s Molière productions ("The Bourgeois Gentleman," "The School For Wives," and "Tartuffe"), "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui," and most recently in "Largo Desolato." Tracy is a member of AEA.
