Meet the Company

Barb Hannevig

Shirley
Barb Hannevig - Shirley

Barb is a graduate of the Goodman Theater in Chicago, and has been doing theater for lots of years! She’s played everything from Snoopy to Lady Macbeth. Here at Forge you may remember her as "Ethel" in On Golden Pond; "Mammy Yokum" in Li’l Abner; "Jessie" in Calendar Girls or "Lady Eugenia Dysquith" in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. She has also performed at Steel River, Footlighters, Barley Sheaf and Playcrafters theaters. When not onstage, she is the parish secretary at St. Gabriel’s in Douglassville and the caretaker of her geriatric cat, Zeus! Welcome to Happy Meadows and thank you for supporting local theater!!

Marsha Amato-Greenspan

Betty
Marsha Amato-Greenspan - Betty

Marsha returns to acting after directing Forge's virtual production of Visting Hours; and pre pandemic productions of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder and the one-act Blanket of Stars.  She holds a BA in Theatre with a concentration in Acting and Directing from Averett University in Danville VA and has spent over 45 years as a director, actress, sound designer, administrator, adjudicator and techie (basically anything and everything) at community theatres in DE, VA, MA, NH and PA.  Some of her favorite stage roles include “Vernadette” in Forge's The Dixie Swim Club; “Fin” in the award winning (and internationally seen) production of Fin and Euba; “Sister Mary Regina” (Nunsense: The Mega Musical and Nuncrackers); “Joan” (The Guys); “Martha” (Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf); “Eleanor of Aquitaine” (The Lion In Winter); “Dolly Levi” (Hello Dolly); “Angel” (The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas) and “Kate Keller” (The Miracle Worker) just to name a few.  She received the “David Matthews Excellence in Directing Award at PACTFest15 for the Best in Festival production of Nine.   Marsha lives with her husband Jeff and their four kitties in Wilmington DE where she works (right now from home) for Bank of America in Enterprise Postal Strategy and Operations.

Barbara Burri

Mary
Barbara Burri - Mary

Barbara has been performing since age three, and after many years of community theatre and a degree from Northern Michigan University, she worked professionally in Virginia and Arizona.  She was most recently seen as "Ida" in Barley Sheaf’s production of Cemetery Club; "Joanne" in Bravo Theatre’s production of Company, and had the unusual opportunity of playing "Masha" in Vanya, Sonia, Masha & Spike at Footlighters Theatre and "Sonia" in the same play at Forge Theatre.   Barbara lives in West Chester, PA and is originally from Missouri.

Julie May

Holly
Julie May - Holly

Much of Julie's performance life, since 1995, has been spent with Forge Theatre in many memorable productions “Vanya, Sonya, Masha and Spike”, “Four Weddings and an Elvis”, “Animal”, “Young Frankenstein”, “Nuts”, “The World Goes Round” and more. Her most recent role was as Mrs. Dashwood in the February 2020 Forge Zoom production of “Sense and Sensibility”. When not involved with Forge, she has also performed in all 14 shows in the Gilbert & Sullivan canon with G&S companies both in the Delaware Valley and England where she has won performance awards and has directed many both here and abroad. She will be performing July 16-18 with the Buck’s County G&S Society in “The Sorcerer” (as Mrs. Partlett) at Delaware Valley University in Doylestown…in a LIVE production (fingers crossed!). She lives and works in West Chester, PA with her husband Richard.

Robin Rosenberg

Nurse Nancy
Robin Rosenberg - Nurse Nancy

Robin returns to Forge for her first virtual show as "Nurse Nancy". She previously played "Mrs. Dexter" in The Man Who Came to Dinner and "Geminae" in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. She would like to thank her husband Bennett for all his love and support with all her endeavors and understanding her weirdness.

Bob Goretski

Gus

Bob has been puttering around Forge for more years than he cares to admit and for some strange reason he keeps getting cast.
