ISLAND SONG takes us through a year in the lives of five twenty-and-thirty-somethings sharing a city and the chain of surprising, meaningful, and partially random connections that bring them into each other’s spheres at moments that become pivotal.
As the city pulses around them, they each work through their own complex relationships with ambition, distraction, and the search for connection.
A Note from the Director:
I fell in love with this show in high school, and I couldn't be happier that it has found its way back into my life. I have always gravitated towards shows that feature ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances, or something in their lives making that day particularly extraordinary. Making a choice, taking a stand, one decision or interaction changing your whole life. This entire experience has such a large place in my heart. Every member of the team added something unique to the story, from the cast to the creatives. I wanted this story to live in each character's hearts, as it is written so beautifully capturing five completely unique experiences living in the city. I hope that this show inspires you to make your own stand, make a choice or put yourself out there in a way you never knew you could. That's what it did for me.
