Artistic Director's Note
Message from the Artistic Director
Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's colorful musical was originally written as a year-end concert for a small preparatory school in western England. Although it has since skyrocketed to professional stages, including the West End and Broadway, at its heart, it remains a piece designed to be performed by young people. Its charm lies in its simple storytelling, woven with small, digestible morals about forgiveness, resilience, and the power of dreaming. The eclectic mix of songs and musical styles presents both a challenge and an exciting opportunity for young performers - keeping the music timely, accessible, and exciting to perform. For these reasons, it is a natural choice for a youth theatre company and a celebration of what makes young people special.

Director's Note
Message from the Director
There is something absolutely magical about the combination of youth and theatre. It may be the first experience of being an audience member, or the first time stepping out onto the fabled boards with the lights shining. It may be the piece of theatre that changes the direction of a life, or the first time really feeling seen by what’s on the stage.
The creators of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat were only 20 and 23 years old at the time of its first public presentation, only a few years older than some of the cast in this show.
It has been such a joy working with this amazing cast of actors who have been putting their hearts and souls into bringing this show to life. Thank you to the amazing creative team for your vision and enthusiasm. And a huge thank you to the audience for supporting these young talents as audience members, cheerleaders, and chaperones. I hope you enjoy the whimsical ride on Joseph’s coattails as much as I have!
