Welcome.
This is a story about breath, memory, and the quiet courage it takes to begin again. It was written in the dark, rewritten in the silence, and shaped by the tides of truth. I directed myself to listen more deeply—to the story, to the body, to the legacy I carry. You’ll meet echoes of my grandmother Rahila Jabarova—an opera singer whose voice still sings through mine— the rhythm of migration, and the pulse of becoming. Thank you for being here. Something shifted, and it feels closer to the heart of the story.
As featured in BroadwayWorld’s spotlight on solo performance: “Learning to Swim Makes New York Debut at United Solo Theatre Festival.”
