Reagan Kay James

Reagan Kay James (she/her) is a Jerry Harper Service Award winning actor and artist with roots in Alaska, Oklahoma, Texas, and Chicago. She loves dark comedy, fall, and travel, so she is thrilled to be performing in her first Twin Cities Horror Fest! Recently she was Jesse in "Cry It Out" (Oil Lamp Theatre,) Cass in "Plaid as Hell" (Babes With Blades Theatre Company,) and King Jarl in "Valhalla: A Viking Rock Opera" (The Plagiarists.) She would love to see pictures of your dog.
Julia Weiss

Julia Weiss is a Minneapolis-based writer and performer. Prior to her peak-pandemic move to the Twin Cities, Julia was a mainstay of Chicago's alternative stages, a member of The Second City National Touring Company, and an understudy of Second City's resident stages. Favorite credits include "The Paper Machete," "The Improvised Star Trek" (listen on iTunes, please), "Opera Punks," "The Life Robotic" and "SPOLIN." She once thought she summoned a demon in the attic of Chicago's old iO Theatre, but it was just Brett. She's never forgiven him.
Ashley Rose Wellman

Ashley Rose Wellman is a playwright, screenwriter, and actor based in Los Angeles. Her play KILL SHELTER won five LA Drama Critics Circle Awards, including the Ted Schmitt Award for World Premiere of an Outstanding New Play, co-sponsored by The Black List. KILL SHELTER was named a Distinguished Production at the Stage Raw Awards, won ten StageSceneLA Awards, and three LATheatreBites Awards. She won the Humanitas PLAY LA Award, is a two-time Finalist for the O'Neill, and was highlighted on the 2020 Kilroys List. She has been produced at Pasadena Playhouse, Theatre of NOTE, EST/LA, The Blank, Antaeus, IAMA, Midnight Summit Ensemble, Red Cup, Spinning Plates, USC, UAA Anchorage, Great Plains Theatre Commons, and the Valdez Theatre Conference. This is Ashley’s first time returning to the stage as an actor in a decade, and she could not be more excited to create theatre with such a wonderful group of artists!
Brandon Monokian
Playwright
Plays include "amethyst." (written as an Artist in Residence for EveryLibrary), "Echo & Narcissus Blast Third Eye Blind Outside a Diner in New Jersey at 2am," "Free Baby Parakeets" and "Zombie Cheerleaders, a Teenage Witch & The Demonic Voice on the Other End of the Phone." He has spent time workshopping plays at the Sewanee Writers Conference, Valdez Theater Conference, Luna Stage’s New Moon series and The Tank. He wrote and appeared in the feature length film "Happy Yummy Chicken." His creative work is dedicated to Suzzanne Douglas.
Rebecca Gilman

Rebecca Gilman is a director, Equity stage manager, and actor. Originally from Kenai, Alaska, she is now based in Chicago. She is currently a TourCo Stage Manager with The Second City. Rebecca received her BA in Theatre from UAA in 2015. Directing credits include "Little Women: The Musical," "Grounded," and "The Crucible" with the Kenai Performers. Favorite stage management credits are "Gravidity" by Ashley Rose Wellman along with "[title of show]," "Other Desert Cities," "Antony and Cleopatra," and "The Great American Trailer Park Musical" at Cyrano’s Theatre Company and the world premiere of "Malapert Love" with The Artistic Home. Favorite acting credits include Missy Miller in "The Marvelous Wonderettes," Maxine in "Night of the Iguana," and Sister Aloysius in "Doubt: A Parable."
Amber Frederick

Amber Frederick is a Minnesota native and recent graduate of the University of Minnesota Theatre Arts and Dance program. She is so excited to be working on the Twin Cities Horror Festival for the very first time! She is grateful to have this opportunity to assistant direct something so fun and fresh. Amber is the founder of Zoom Box Actors, an online acting troupe focusing on creating inclusive theatrical opportunities for all, through Open Arts Minnesota. Hi mom and dad!
Kaela Mei-Shing Garvin

Kaela Mei-Shing Garvin is a playwright, educator, & new work advocate. Plays include "Tiger Beat" (2024 2ST Reading, 2021 BAPF), "Ping Pong Play" (2024 Leah Ryan Prize), "Call Out Culture" (2022 O'Neill NPC Finalist, 2019 Ars Nova ANTFest), "Harpers Ferry 2019" (Know Theatre Cincinnati). Kaela’s a member of Ma-Yi’s Writers Lab & has developed work at Breaking the Binary, the Alliance Theater, & Pipeline Theater Company. Commissions include Yangtze Rep, EST/Sloan, Montana Repertory Theater. Kaela’s received 6 Kennedy Center awards; taught at Cornish College of the Arts, Indiana University, & Salem State University; & worked in literary departments at Luna Stage & the Playwrights Foundation.
Sam Scheidler
Sound Design
Sam Scheidler is one of Chicago’s busiest music directors. He teaches and performs at The Second City, and can be found playing with Baby Wants Candy, Deep Schwa, and You Got Gamed. In his spare time, Sam plays board games, NYT crosswords, and takes care of his two cats.
