PRODUCER'S MESSAGE

Welcome back!

We are thrilled to welcome you to the F. Scott Black Theatre. Could there be a more appropriate place for us to celebrate returning to live theatre at CCBC? From March 2020 to July 2021, our stages were dark as—like our fellow artists around the world—we waited for the chance to gather again.

This performance of MTI’s All Together Now is one of more than 5,000 planned by more than 2,000 schools and theatres in all 50 states and more than 40 countries. As you enjoy the music, appreciate the performances, and remember the joy of being together in the theatre again, you are joining with audience members all around the world who are celebrating with us the return of live theatre.

But these performances are just the beginning. This past summer, Cockpit in Court was able to blaze the trail by performing a shortened season on this stage. Dundalk Community Theatre returns to the John E. Ravekes Theatre starting in December for a season committed to “What I Did for Love.” And we are thrilled to welcome the Children’s Playhouse of Maryland back to campus, with The Spongebob Musical beginning in December. And all season long, the Arts at CCBC are celebrating the strength and resilience of the human spirit with events that explore our season’s theme, And Still I Rise.

As we come All Together Now to recover and renew ourselves as artists, we hope this experience helps you to remember and embrace the joys and the satisfactions of the live arts.
