A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Presented tonight is a carousel of seven scenes which disclose a shared paranoia concerning youth. In these plays are childhoods deserted too soon, savored too long, or destroyed by senseless violence. The characters of these works provide us with opportunities to define youth for ourselves. When the question of age is abandoned, what remains is Love: that great Alchemist which, by obliterating our fear, returns to us the swollen happy hearts we envy in our children.
It is our hope that you’ll return with us tonight to that vast and precious prairie of play and forgive yourself for ever leaving it behind.
