Gwendolynne Grace Arnold

Mrs. Corry
Gwendolynne Grace Arnold - Mrs. Corry Gwendolynne is so excited to do her first show with SME, especially with Jeff McCoy as Director! She has been participating in theater for almost 10 years. Her favorite roles include Belle in "Beauty and the Beast," Helena in "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and Martha in "White Christmas." She is a rising sophomore at Radford University majoring in theater performance.

Robertson Ay / Step in Time Featured Dancer
Nick Babineau - Robertson Ay / Step in Time Featured Dancer Mary Poppins will be Nick's third show with Summer Musical Enterprise, previously playing Morris Delancey in Newsies and Jean Paul Truffaut in Last Call at Chet Mort. He has a Bachelor's in Creative Technologies from Virginia Tech, and continues to engage with art and performance since graduating in 2023.

Corwyn Barland - Ensemble Corwyn Barland is happy to debut with SME as a kite-flyer and constellation-maker. He is confident that this production will lead to a sprawling Lego Mary Poppins videogame franchise.

Hailey Barnson

Hailey Barnson - Bank Clerk/Ensemble This is Hailey! She goes to Radford university! She is a theater major and has been in a couple productions there as well. Some include Bat Boy the Musical where she played Shelly, Much Ado About Nothing where she played Margret, and The Rainbowfish Musical where she played Little Fish. She has also done many productions at Pulaski County High School including Pirates of Penzance, White Christmas, Peter and the Starcatcher and many more. She hopes to eventually make her way to Broadway some day and fully pursue her dreams in the theater.

Marshall Berryman

Marshall Berryman - Banker / Main Ensemble Marshall Berryman is a senior at Glenvar Highschool. He has been in theatre for only a year but has been in choir for 6 years. Marshall has performed in Anne get your gun with attic production and A Christmas Chaos with Glenvar High. Marshall Berryman has won a directors award for theatrical excellence which implies being a great help in the theater classroom. He loves playing dnd and chess. When he is off the stage you can see him watching shows or reading books. In Marshall’s 6 years in choir he has learned how to read sheet music and how to extend his range with work.

Cole Bishop

Cole Bishop - Admiral Boom Cole Bishop is excited to be making their debut with Summer Musical Enterprise! Cole has recently played Mr. Webb in Our Town, Earthworm in James and the Giant Peach, and Mr Laurance in Little Women. This is Cole’s first show outside of high school. Cole enjoys spending time with their friends and importantly their girlfriend, love you pookie. Cole is thankful for the support of their family and friends!

Cindy Blevins

Miss Andrew and Producer
Cindy Blevins - Miss Andrew and Producer Cindy Blevins is a lifelong theatre enthusiast and performer. Cindy has performed with SME and other local groups including Mill Mountain Theatre and Virginia Children's Theatre and she has collaborated with the Radford University Department of Theatre and Cinema, and the Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts. She has been the Chairperson for Summer Musical Enterprise, headquartered in Blacksburg, since 2009 and has led the organization through the last 17 musicals, two relocations (2010 and 2011) due to electrical issues at Haymarket Theatre, and COVID. During her tenure with SME she has performed on stage, and also served as Vocal Director, Stage Director, Musical Director and Executive Producer. Cindy is also a collaborative pianist and guest conductor, playing for/leading various groups in the New River and Roanoke Valleys. Some of her favorite stage roles are: Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady with SME), Mrs. Potts (Beauty and the Beast with VCT) and Ursula (The Little Mermaid with SME).

Carter Belle Bowling

Carter Belle Bowling - Doll in Playing the Game, Penguin, Ensemble Carter Belle Bowling is making her theatrical debut in Mary Poppins as a doll in Playing the Game and the ensemble. She loves singing with the Blacksburg Children’s Chorale, playing the piano and running. Her favorite color is light purple and favorite food is Mac and cheese. She wants thank her family and friends for supporting her!

Zachary Brown

Bert
Zachary Brown - Bert Zachary Brown is thrilled to be making his debut with Summer Musical Enterprise as the beloved Bert in Mary Poppins, The Broadway Musical. He currently works in the IT fields, but takes every chance he can to jump in as an extra for local theater productions. Over the last ten years, he has been a part of numerous shows for Westover Ballet, Southwest Virginia Ballet, and Little Leapers. His other roles have included leads in school productions for Annie Get Your Gun, Bye Bye Birdie, and The Boy Friend.

McKenna Bruno

McKenna Bruno - Ensemble MCKENNA BRUNO This will be McKenna’s first production with Summer Musical Enterprise. Her favorite roles she has played include: Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast (PCHS), James in James and the Giant Peach (PCHS), and, Jackie in Disaster! the Musical (PCHS). She’d like to thank Jeff McCoy for teaching her everything she knows and giving her the opportunity to be a part of this show!

Abigail Call

Abigail Call - Ensemble, Statue Abigail is excited to bring her smile and energy to the stage by making her SME debut! She has recently started her theatre journey by starring as the charming Emily in the Holiday Spectacular and little Alice in Alice in Wonderland with Little Leapers. When she's not performing, perfecting a pirouette, or belting out a tune, you can find her on the soccer field or enjoying Hokie sports. This fall, Abigail is gearing up for a new adventure: 5th grade! We know she'll continue to shine both on and off the stage. Special thanks to Grandma and Ms. Heather for introducing Abigail to the magical world of musical theatre!

Debbie Campbell - Mrs. Brill Whether it’s playing the role of Levi in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat or Jetsam on roller-skates in The Little Mermaid, Debbie thoroughly enjoys performing with Summer Musical Enterprise! Besides performing with SME, she’s also acted in numerous productions with New River Stage including Once Upon a Mattress, Curiosity Cat, Treasure Island, Decision Height, I Never Saw Another Butterfly, etc. Debbie grew up in Blacksburg and lives with her husband, Allen, and their miniature poodle, Buddy. After having a rewarding 20-year career as a guidance counselor, she left education and started her own business 12 years ago. Debbie owns a Home Staging and Redesign business called Stage 2 Smile, LLC. She wants to thank Allen and the rest of her family for supporting her in (most all of) her “shenanigans”!

Amanda Christian - US Mary Poppins/Featured Dancer/Ensemble Amanda is delighted to be making her debut with Summer Musical Enterprise. A graduate of Virginia Tech’s Theatre program, Amanda is thrilled to be back in Blacksburg and gives the biggest thanks to all of her incredible professors for their endless support over the years. She is grateful to have spent the last few years working as a performer for the Walt Disney Company; her most recent work taking her across the globe to Tokyo, Japan. Amanda thanks her friends and family, as well as her students at the June Bug Center, for all of their love and encouragement.

Taylor Cobb - Bert U/S and Ensemble Taylor was so happy to return to SME last year as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Techicolor Dreamcoat after a decade long hiatus! His very first performance was with this company as a member of the ensemble in The King and as Oliver nearly twenty years ago. SME gave him his first opportunity to perform and inspired his life long love of theater. Taylor would like to thank his loving family for their undying support, Cindy Blevins for still believing in him, and all of you for supporting this wonderful company. Enjoy the show!

Seraphina Colliver - Ensemble SERAPHINA COLLIVER This will be Seraphina's second production with SME (Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, 2023). She has enjoyed roles in Shakespeare plays at the Blacksburg New School and participating in Joelle Shenk's programs and camps. Seraphina is a rising 8th grader at the Blacksburg New School. She looks forward to being on stage with the Blacksburg High School Theater Department in the coming years. Thank you to her wonderful family for their support and guidance.

Elliot Cope - Ensemble Elliot is excited to make his SME debut after seeing “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” six times last summer! He loves sports, especially baseball and soccer; plays in the chess club at school; loves LEGO; and is an avid Star Wars fan. He wants to acknowledge Taylor Cobb for giving him the inspiration and courage to audition for this show! Elliot’s had a Jolly Holiday this summer making new SME friends, singing, and learning some dancing! He hopes you have a soaring good time watching SME’s production of Mary Poppins!

Meagan B. Cox - Ensemble (Step in Time Soloist, Banker, Supercal featured dancer) Meagan B. Cox (Ensemble) is excited to be joining this fantastic cast for Mary Poppins. She graduated from Radford University with a major in theatre/minor in dance with a focus in performance and stage management. Favorite credits include: The Lost Colony (Ensemble) in the Outer Banks, Steel Magnolias (Shelby), Last Call at Chez Mort (Sweet Sue), Much Ado About Nothing (Hero), The House of Yes (Jackie-O), Newsies (Bowery Beauty, Nun, Waitress), Recent Tragic Events (Waverly), and Singing in the Rain (Olga Mara). Meagan would like to thank the RUTD faculty and Mollye Otis for helping her become the performer she is today. Lastly, she would like to thank her family for constantly encouraging her to pursue her passion and chase her dreams. Enjoy the show!

Logan Cross - Featured dancer, Step In Time and Statue, Jolly Holiday Logan Cross, a 12-year-old dancer, is thrilled to be making her debut in this year’s musical. She has been dancing since the age of three and has trained in various styles, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, lyrical, pointe and hip-hop. Her passion for dance shines through in every performance. Logan has performed in numerous dance productions and competitions. When she's not dancing, Logan enjoys baking, crafting, and spending time with her friends. She is excited to share her love for dance with everyone and is grateful for the support of her dance teachers, family, and friends.

Ella Davis

Ella Davis - Ensemble Ella Davis is thrilled to be participating in SME's production of Mary Poppins. She is a rising 10th grader at PCHS, and has acted in more than 20 school and professional productions, starting when she was seven years old. Highlights include the Cat in the Hat in Seussical the Musical and Jane Banks in an earlier Mary Poppins production. She has also worked as an assistant director, and is a talented singer and multi-instrumentalist.

Madison Davis-Reed

Madison Davis-Reed - Miss Smythe Madison Davis-Reed is so happy to be in performing in 'Mary Poppins the Musical'! She has been doing theatre for, roughly, 10 years. She just recently graduated highschool, and is attending Hollins University this Fall. There she will partake in the theatre program, as well as other community theatre opportunities that Ronoake has to offer!

Campbell Duff

Campbell Duff - Annie Campbell Duff is excited to make her SME debut! She is a rising 10th grader at Northside High School and attends Burton Center for Performing Arts. She is a teaching instructor at Little Leapers Roanoke. Campbell is a student of Mill Mountain Theatre's Conservatory, Youth Professional Ensemble with Virginia Children's Theatre, Kevin Jones Performing Arts Studio, as well as Brynn Scozzari Studios. Some of Campbell's favorite credits include Legally Blonde Jr (Elle Woods), Tuck Everlasting (Winnie Foster), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Rona Lisa Peretti) and The Secret Garden (Mary Lennox). She would like to thank SME for the opportunity to work with this amazing cast and crew, as well as her friends and family for their endless love and support! Makenna Dwojewski - Ensemble/US Annie Makenna dwojewski is making her debut in SME. Makenna has performed in Numerous of theater productions with her middle school, her favorite production was Xanadu jr as the roll of terepiscore. Her favorite hobbies are cheer and to go on runs. Elena English

Elena English - Doll/Ensemble Elena is happy to return to the SME stage. She is a rising 5th grader and dancer from Pulaski County. She loves crafting, being with friends, and her family. Her previous show experience includes Frozen Jr, Peter Pan, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Beauty and the Beast, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and A Year with Frog And Toad.

Gloria English - Miss Lark SME is family and I am so grateful to have another season with the directors and cast. I am a drama mama of 6. Summer memories with them on stage with me is priceless. Enjoy the magic and remember anything can happen if you let it!

Jordan English

Park Keeper/Ensemble
Jordan English - Park Keeper/Ensemble Jordan's most recent roles have been Beast in Beauty and the Beast, Laurie in Little Women and Ladahlord in James in the Giant Peach . Jordan is a two time VHSL Forensics State Champion. He is also the founder of the Pulaski Re-acting Youth Improv Camp. Off the stage he loves chess, cooking, and drawing.

Liam English - Teddy Bear Liam has loved acting since he was 5 years old. Liam also loves legos, kids sit-coms, and his family. He was most recently seen as Lion in the Wizard of Oz and Jake in Into the Woods.

Qyle English - Ensemble Qyle English is 14 years old. Qyle has been on stage since he was 6. Some of his favorite roles include James in James in the Giant Peach, Plankton in Spongebob the Musical, Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid Jr, Les in Newsies, and Jojo in Suessical the Musical, and Prince Charming in Into the Woods.

Sam Farmer

Sam Farmer - Ensemble/Set Construction Sam is excited to make his SME debut. Sam is a student at BHS and is looking to go into a scenic design career but loves to sing and act in musicals. Some recent and favorite roles have been Mal understudy and ensemble in Addams family, James understudy in James and the Giant Peach and ensemble in Cinderella. Sam loves all fine arts and thanks his friends and family for pushing him to get better at and participate in many arts related activities.

Clint Ferrin

Clint Ferrin - Ensemble Clint is excited to join this production as a way to support his wife and family while sharing in this special experience together. Stepping into the spotlight for the first time, he brings his enthusiasm and dedication to the stage. Outside of this adventure, Clint enjoys working on home improvement projects, reading, and making games with his daughters. This memorable journey with his family has been both meaningful and fun.

Dakota Ferrin

Dakota Ferrin - Ensemble Dakota is thrilled to make her musical debut in this production, fulfilling a lifelong dream of being in a musical, which has been on her dream board for years. This year, she decided it was time to create and prioritize the opportunity to pursue this dream. Dakota’s enthusiasm and vibrant energy shine through in everything she does, both on stage and off. Outside of this exciting venture, Dakota enjoys learning new skills, has a background in finance, and loves spending quality time with her husband and 3 wonderful daughters. She is especially excited to share this musical adventure with her family, bringing them along for this unforgettable experience.

Kali Ferrin - Ensemble At just 6 years old, Kali is already full of charisma and talent! Known for her precocious nature and love of music, she is thrilled to participate in her first musical. As a five-year-old child, she wanted to perform for ‘a lot of people,’ so she helped organize and conduct a neighborhood kid's talent show. Offstage, Kali loves reading, painting, going to museums, and spending time with her sisters. I loved that experience and all of the awesome friends I made, and knew that I wanted to participate in next year’s SME show. Outside of theatre I enjoy reading, creating art, and spending time in nature, and in the summer: swimming in the river. Since participating in Joseph, I have felt inspired to continue working in theatre. This year I am thrilled to be an ensemble member in SMEs production of Mary Poppins!

Perry Freeman - Valentine (toy)/Ensemble At the age of eight, I fell in love with acting, playing the role of Chip in SME's "Beauty and the Beast." I also acted in SME's "Little Mermaid" and later landed the role of Olaf in Pulaski High School's "Frozen Jr.," where I met one of my best friends, director Jeff McCoy. My next show with Jeff was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. During the pandemic, I discovered a passion for baking but was thrilled to rejoin the world of musical theater at PCHS's production of "Spongebob." After that, I returned to SME, playing in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." "Mary Poppins" is now my fourth show with SME, and I continue to enjoy my time with this incredible artistic community.

I was in the Lollipop Guild at the Wohlfahrt Haus production of “The Wizard of Oz,” as well as a troll in Pulaski High School’s production of "Frozen, Jr." Additionally, I was in the children’s choir for SME’s production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." When not on stage, Anna is on staff with NLCF, working with their worship teams, discipling students, and creating community. She recently starred as Flounder in The Little Mermaid Jr. at Blacksburg Middle School. She played multiple roles in Mean Girls Jr. last fall and has been in numerous Joeloe productions. Kailand loves to entertain people and cares deeply about performance and her theatrical community. Kailand enjoys singing, acting, and dancing in her spare time. She is a swimmer and tennis player when she is not performing.

Amy Hogan - Mrs. Banks (Aug 8, 10 evening, 11) Amy is thrilled to be back with SME this summer! She has also appeared in SME productions of All Together Now, Newsies (Snyder), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator). Before taking many years away from the stage to birth and raise children, she has performed roles with regional and community theatres (H.M.S. Pinafore, Josephine; The Marriage of Figaro, Barbarina; Sweeney Todd, Mrs. Lovett, to name a few), and has choreographed shows such as The King and I, Pirates of Penzance, Into the Woods, and Guys and Dolls.

Jesse Janowiak - George Banks JESSE JANOWIAK Jesse Janowiak has been performing with SME since 2016, with roles as Marcellus Washburn in The Music Man, Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast, and Louis the Chef in The Little Mermaid. Most recently, he played Detective Constantine in SME's dinner theater production of Last Call at Chez Mort. To date, he has acted in more than a dozen shows across 3 states since his breakout (non-speaking) role as Paddy Bear in "Paddy Bear's Christmas" at Edgelea Elementary School. When he's not acting with SME, you can also find Jesse performing with the other four members of High Score A Capella.

Hudson Jarrell - Michael Banks Aug 7, 9, and 10 matinee/Featured Dancer for Step In Time Hudson Jarrell is a rising 6th grader at Belle Heth Elementary School. He loves being on stage and has a passion for acting, singing, and dancing. He has been taking various music classes with Central Fine Arts Academy since the age of 1. Over the years, he has taken a variety of classes including piano, ukulele, and voice. Hudson began to show interest in theater in 2nd grade. He has participated in several theater camps with Adaire Theatre and Radford High School. Some of his roles include Cubby in Peter Pan Jr., Theodore in Good is the New Bad, JoJo in Seussical, Jr., Kyle in Road Trippin’, and Roger in 101 Dalmatians, Jr. He also played the role of Young Pugsley in the Radford High School’s Bobcat Theatre Company’s production of the Addams Family. Mary Poppins has always been a favorite movie of hers since she was a little girl. Lori is thrilled to be performing alongside her daughter, Taylor Johnson, and making memories together. In her spare time, Lori coaches cross-country for St. John Neumann Academy, volunteers with various school activities, and is the mom taxi for all of Taylor's activities. She would like to thank her husband Eric, for all of his support and encouragement, her daughter Taylor, for insisting she audition, and her family who loves her. Lyra Kirkner - Featured Dancer Lyra is thrilled to be making her return to the stage with SME this year as a featured dancer, having previously appeared in Newsies. She is a proud member of the Dance.tech PAC competition team where she competes in multiple styles of dance. Recent achievements from solo performances are a 1st overall at World Class Talent with a Distinction award, Junior Elite Reveler Runner-up from Revel Dance, Dancer of the Year finalist from Celebration Talent and the honored recipient of Dance.tech Director's award for 23-24. Previously, Elliot was part of the youth ensemble with joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat. Kelli Knight LeVan - Featured Dancer Kelli Knight LeVan is thrilled to be making her debut with SME as a featured dancer. Kelli received her dance training at Northampton Dance Studios and performed for the Tidewater Dance Theatre. She was also a singer/dancer in The New Virginians at Virginia Tech. Kelli is a wildlife veterinarian who lives in Blacksburg with her husband and their 3 bunnies. In her spare time, she volunteers at the Lyric Theatre and with the Virginia Tech Equine Program. She and her husband enjoy traveling and Kelli checked off her 60th country visited this year on a trip to Patagonia.

Jared Morgan

Jared Morgan - Bank Chairman Jared is thrilled to continue to be a part of Summer Musical Enterprise and is truly enjoying this new experience of being on the stage. After being in the 2023 production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat last summer and then having the role of the Bodyguard in this winter's Murder Mystery performance of Last Call at Chez Mort, he is excited to step up his acting in the role of Bank Chairman, Northbrooke. When not on stage he is part of the board of directors for the Humane Society of the New River Valley and contributes time and resources to Msomi Academy in Kenya. He is about to open a new Veterinary clinic, Wythe Animal Wellness Community Veterinary Care. During his "free time" he enjoys his hobby farm in Pulaski VA and traveling with his wife and family.

Jonah Morgan - Ensemble I have been working with Mr McCoy since I was 5 years old when was Young Simba in the Pulaski County children's production of Lion King.. Last year was my first year working with SME when I was Zebulon in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. This year I am thrilled to share my talents and be a part of the group including Mr McCoy and SME to bring Mary Poppins to the Moss Arts Center. She has enjoyed previous roles as the Wicked Witch of the West in Belview Elementary School's show of the Wizard of Oz, and as a Guard in the musical, Imagine A Dragon, at the Lyric Theater. Iris sings with the Blacksburg Children's Chorale and enjoys both soccer and gymnastics.

She has just gotten back into the drama world after taking a break following numerous productions in high school; Her favorite being Guys and Dolls. Sabrena loves to sing and is often known to break into songs. She has her Master of Arts in Teaching and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Sabrena’s day job is a private practice clinician at Healing Tree Counseling. She is passionate about giving back to her community and the arts.

Preston is 12 years old and when not on stage he enjoys cats (the animal), CATS (the musical), and cats (he couldn’t think of a third type of cat but he wanted there to be three things on this list, so he is writing this instead). Valerie Quesenberry - Ensemble Valerie Quesenberry is excited to be performing for her first time with SME. She has acted previously in Pulaski County High School’s "A Year with Frog and Toad". She loves ballet and hip-hop and is looking forward to competing this year with Pulaski Dance Productions. Other roles include: Gertrude in Seussical the Musical Jr. (Pulaski County Middle School), and various ensamble roles in The Little Mermaid Jr. (PCMS), Frog and Toad (Pulaski County High School), and Little Women (PCHS). She was part of the stage crew for The Blue and the Grey (PCHS), Frog and Toad (PCHS), and James and the Giant Peach (PCHS). Zariah has been dancing with Pulaski Dance Productions for 7 years. Her dance study includes: Ballet, Jaz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Pom, Acro, and Hip Hop. Zariah is a member of The International Thespian Society.

Chandra Shorter - Winifred Banks (Aug. 7, 9 , and 1 0 matinee) Chandra Shorter is a proud native of Dublin, VA. and is excited to be returning in her third show with SME. Her previous roles have included: Kathy Seldon in Singin’ In The Rain (Adaire Theatre), Vivienne Kensington in Legally Blonde: The Musical (Adaire Theatre), Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors (Adaire Theatre), and Johanna in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Summer Musical Enterprise). Chandra studied music and theatre at Concord University before choosing to pursue a career in professional counseling. When she isn’t on or behind the stage, Chandra performs her greatest role as a mental health therapist. In her free time, she enjoys reading, yoga, watching true crime documentaries, traveling, singing karaoke, and spending time with her friends and family.

He has been in many university productions including William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, Larry and Vivian Snipes’ Cows Don’t Fly and Other Known Facts as the Cow, and Bat Boy the Musical. He has also directed a one act play. He is excited to finally perform Mary Poppins at the Moss Arts Center.

Nyala has trained for 8 years as a dancer in various styles with Dance.Tech Performing Arts Studio, and she has studied piano and voice with Margo Easter's Performing Arts Institute of Virginia (PAIVA). A rising 7th-grader at Blacksburg Middle School, Nyala enjoys dancing, singing, reading, exercising, and hanging out with friends. An avid dog-lover, Nyala is particularly fond of her Pembroke Welsh corgi, Monty.

Kelly Stephens - Bird Woman Kelly Stephens is so excited to be returning to Summer Musical Enterprise for her second season, having made her debut last year as a narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. Kelly has a degree in Music Education from Toccoa Falls College and currently serves as the Choral Director at Blacksburg Middle School where she is also the musical director for the BMS Drama Club. Some of her other credits include Chelsea Thayer in On Golden Pond, Sally Brown in Snoopy the Musical, and Marie Louise in My Three Angels. However, her favorite role is being "Mom" to her two beautiful daughters, Bethany and Kymber, and her bonus kids, Laken, Emily, and Tanner. Kelly would like to give a huge shout out to the love of her life, David, for encouraging her to pursue her love of being on stage.

Kerrigan Stoker - Featured Dancer Kerrigan is excited to return to SME for her second performance. Her debut performance was last year in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. Kerrigan spends most of her time dancing at Dance.tech as a member of the PAC team. She performs in jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical and ballet. She is a rising 9th grader at CHS and plays percussion in the band. Thank you to my Mom, Dad, and Paw Paw.

Trevan Surface - Policeman/ensemble Hello I am Trevan Surface. I am excited to be in this production of Mary Poppins. I’m excited to play fun part in this show. This will be my 5th show with Summer Musical Enterprise (SME). Other shows with SME include Beauty and the Beast, All Together Now, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Last Call at Chez Mort. I can’t wait to keep growing with this community theater group.

Laura Tavormina

Laura Tavormina - Ensemble This will be Laura’s first musical experience in the US! She is a middle school music teacher who moved to the US 1.5 years ago from Belgium. She started taking singing lessons at the age of 12 and has been in love with the musical genre ever since. She participated in multiple musical projects as a main character or ensemble member in Belgium and loves to spend her free time singing, dancing ballet, and playing the cello. She is excited to continue her hobbies in this community by singing with The Voices of Appalachia and dancing at Dance Tech.

Kendall Tolar

Kendall Tolar - Toy Soldier/Ensemble Kendall Tolar is so excited to make her SME debut! Previous credits include: Willy Wonka, Jr. and Brand New Day (Virginia Children's Theatre), The Phantom of the Music Room (Riverlawn Elementary), and A Year With Frog and Toad, Jr. (Pulaski County High School). Kendall has been a student with Virginia Children's Theatre Academy for several years. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, drawing, animation and playing video games.

Chris Valluzzo - Ensemble Chris is thrilled to be joining SME for the very first time. Chris has previously played Tom Jenkins in Scrooge the Musical and Grand Pa Joe in Willy Wonka the Musical. Both with New River Stage. Chris played several roles for the Little Leapers Dance company playing Drosselmeyer in The Nutcracker, The Baker in Beauty and the Beast, and Oaken in Frozen. Chris would like to thank his wife Charlotte and two kids Izzie and Kailer for supporting him as he follows his passion for acting.

Meili Vance - Jane Banks Aug 8, 10 evening, and 11 Meili Vance is so excited to be returning to SME for Mary Poppins! She got to be a part of SME’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat last year as an ensemble and youth choir member, and has acted as Kasim’s Wife in Alibaba and the Fourth Thieves and Bianca in Taming of the Shrew for school plays as well. She is so happy to be continuing to act as Jane Banks for Mary Poppins, and can’t wait for future shows!

Jazmyn White - Ensemble/Featured Singer Jazmyn White is excited to be a part of the production of Mary Poppins. She has been with the Summer Musical Enterprise since last summer, when she did the production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat. Jazmyn has loved working with the creative team for SME. She hopes that you enjoy the musical Mary Poppins just as much as she loves it !

Annie Zaldivar - Featured dancer/Step in Time Soloist Annie Zaldivar is a Christiansburg local, currently attending school at Mary Baldwin University. She will graduate in 2027 with a degree in theatre and then move on to the Shakespeare and Performance program. This is her third summer working with SME!! You may have seen her as Splasher in “Newsies” or Gad in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” She is ecstatic to be given the opportunity to work with her favorite people again, and hopes you enjoy “Mary Poppins!”

Stage Director
Jeff McCoy - Stage Director Jeff has been with SME since the beginning! He was in the Inaugural Production of The Music Man in 1992. Since then he's appeared in many shows and has directed several as well! Jeff is is the retired Director of Theatre Arts at Pulaski County High School where he guided the program for 28 years. During his tenure, he produced a minimum of two musicals a year and three other shows. The program was a regular award winning program with the VHSL One Act Festivals. His students won three state championships and numerous acting awards. They were also selected to represent the state of Virginia in the American High School Theatre Festival in Edinburgh Scotland. He has directed several shows with the Summer Musical Enterprise and appeared in numerous productions with the organization. He has also appeared in shows with Mill Mountain Theatre, Showtime, Divinity Players, Playmaker and Company, and New London Barn Theatre (New Hampshire). In the spring of his retirement, he was honored to have the theatre at PCHS named in his honor. When asked which Mary Poppins character team he would be on he responded, "Team Bert. Because Bert makes magic happen too but Mary gets all the credit."

Kevin Faller

Musical Director
Kevin Faller - Musical Director Kevin returns to SME after serving as Musical Director for SME's 2019 production of "The Little Mermaid," playing trumpet for and serving as assistant conductor for SME's 2022 production of "Newsies", and also serving as Musical Director for SME's 2023 production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Kevin Faller grew up in Dublin, VA and attended Pulaski County Public Schools. After high school, he attended James Madison University where he was a member of the JMU Marching Royal Dukes, JMU Symphonic Band, Chamber Orchestra, and JMU Brass Band. He graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Music, with an emphasis on music education. Following undergrad, Kevin attended Radford University where he served as principal trumpet with the Radford Wind Ensemble, section leader for the Concert Jazz Ensemble, and lead trumpet for the 2012 production of "The Nutcracker." In 2013, Kevin earned his Master of Arts with an emphasis in conducting. Kevin is currently the Director of Bands at Pulaski County High School in Dublin, VA. He lives in Pulaski with his wife, Lauren, and three daughters, Lorelei, Zelda, and Matilda. When asked which Mary Poppins character team he is on he responded, " Team Jane and Michael. Pit orchestra musicians are a special breed, and are rarely understood. Sometimes we can scare people away, much like Jane and Michael scared away several nannies before Mary Poppins! As chaotic as we may be, we are are able to be "tamed" and are a lot of fun to be around!"

Nina Kempic

Co-Choreographer/Featured Dancer
Nina Kempic - Co-Choreographer/Featured Dancer Nina Kempic returns to the SME Creative Team for a third year with SME after being Co-Choreographer and Featured Dancer for SME’s Newsies and a Featured Dancer for SME's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. After graduating from college, she began teaching at Dance Tech where she is now the Ballet Director. Nina has been involved with Blacksburg Ballet’s The Nutcracker for the past six years as a performer, teacher and choreographer, and Ballet Director. Nina has always felt the most at home in a theater whether it is performing herself or watching her vision come to life through her students and casts. When asked which Mary Poppins character team she would be on Nina responded, " I'm team Jane and Michael! As an older sister I love how close and supportive these siblings are, even when they are being a bit mischievous with their nannies!"

Paige Guynn

Co-Choreographer
Paige Guynn - Co-Choreographer Paige returns to the SME Choreography Team after being a Co-Choreographer for Newsies in 2022. She is also a SME Board Member-at-Large, and the Studio Director and Owner of Dance-tech in Blacksburg, VA. Raised in Northern Virginia, Paige trained in Vaganova technique at a classical ballet school and was on her studio’s competition team beginning at the age of 5. She was a captain and choreographer for the National Champion MV Wildcat Dance Team, danced in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and NFL Pro Bowl, and performed overseas in both England and France. In college she served on the Executive Board of the Dance Company of Virginia Tech, performing at Hokie Pep Rallies, charity events, and bi-annual Company Concerts. An avid lover of the arts, she participated in workshops and performances with Riverside Dinner Theater, sang in school and church choirs, and choreographed several musicals for her high school. Paige turned her focus to becoming a more impactful instructor when she began teaching at Dance-tech in 2010, recently attending Studio Owner’s University with Misty Lown and teachers’ classes at Dance Educators of America, Artists Simply Human and DanceMakers, Inc. She is Youth Protection Advocates in Dance Certified, a member of More Than Just Great Dancing, Main Street Connect, the American Business Women's Association, and part of the MCCC Leadership New River Valley class of 2022. When asked which Mary Poppins character team she is on she answered "Team Bert, because he’s a man of many talents, a friend to all, a little bit cheeky, and loves to dance!!"

Linda King

Vocal Director
Linda King - Vocal Director Linda is no stranger to the NRV Music scene! She has been teaching private piano and voice lessons in Blacksburg for many years. Linda has been a substitute music teacher in all levels of general music as well as choir and band. She has also been a vocalist and choral assistant with Blacksburg Master Chorale. When living in IL, Linda taught choir and was the Vocal Director and Producer for six musicals! After teaching middle and high school chorus in Illinois, she opened up a private music studio teaching piano and voice. She currently is the owner of The Music House of Blacksburg where she gives private piano lessons to students K - Adult. Musicals Linda has directed and produced in the past include Hello Dolly, South Pacific, Me and My Girl, Guys and Dolls, Bye Bye Birdie, and Once Upon A Mattress. Linda would like to thank her family for their love and support! When asked which Mary Poppins character team she would be on she responded, " Team Jane and Michael because they just want to be heard!"

Andrew Kolarcik - Assistant Stage Director Andrew is new to SME! He founded the Schenectady Dramatic Players in Schenectady, NY, and he has experience as an Assistant Director, a Stage Director, and Vocal Director in New York. When asked which Mary Poppins character team he is on he responded, "I'm on team Mr. Banks because of his journey of self-discovery, learning lessons of family and priorities. He shows us that it's never too late to change and grow!

Stevie Freeman

Stevie Freeman - Assistant Stage Manager Since beginning their musical career with classical cello at the age of six, Stevie has been expanding their abilities through vocal training, self-taught piano and self-taught electric guitar. They have performed in musicals under four directors so far, including George Bailey at the Wholfahrt Haus in Wytheville, and they worked the spotlight for SME’s Little Mermaid production in 2020 before joining the cast in last year’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. This year, they are thrilled to assist in stage management rather than acting. Stevie graduated this year with their Associates Degree at Wytheville Community College, and is proud to be joining Radford University in the fall.
