LARA JACOBS RIGOLO

Artistic Director & Balance Goddess
LARA JACOBS RIGOLO - Artistic Director & Balance Goddess LARA JACOBS RIGOLO, known as «Balance Goddess» in Amaluna, a Cirque du Soleil touring production, is bringing the world famous “Sanddorn Balance Act" to Brooklyn. During the pandemic Lara created a groundbreaking performance art space and craft cocktail lounge, designed to honor the thirteen ancient Moon Goddesses. Once again, she proved that extra effort goes a long way, and in September 2021, Lara opened MOONRISE, an immersive new space combining dance, theater, acrobatics and more. Lara was born into an artistic family in a small town in Switzerland. At the age of six she began performing and touring as a trapeze artist and she completed her training at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. In 2010 Lara joined Cirque du Soleil and toured as «Balance Goddess» in Amaluna for eight years, enchanting thousands of spectators around the globe. Her interpretation of the “Sanddorn Balance” is greeted with standing ovations, and she received rave reviews from the press.
