Meet the Company
Riya Atwood
A returning Moppet several years over, Riya is always excited to exercise her creativity, whether in new skills like trapeze or familiar territory such as acting. Having acted in both film and theater, Riya is always ready to jump into a new character and setting! Previous roles with the Moppets include Angus in "Macbeth" and Perdita in "The Winter's Tale". Riya is excited to be joining the Moppets production of "Hamlet" as Hamlet! Riya invites everyone to sit back, relax, and enjoy the chaos!
Sparrow Barratt
Sparrow Barratt is a rising tenth grader at The Sanctuary Of Living Arts. She has been acting since she was seven and has been in productions such as, Frozen JR., King Lear, and most recently been in SOLA's production of "Your wish is my command". She just completed her first original short film "Sort of scary stories". When she is not Acting, she enjoys painting, thrifting, and listening to true crime. She would like to thank her supportive family and friends, and of course her cats.

I have been in 6 or 7 productions and I love to make shows for my family. This is my second show this year as a MOPPET and my birthday is coming up.
Brooklyn DeAntonio
Brooklyn "Benny" DeAntonio (Rosencrants... Or maybe Guildenstern? We can't remember) is utterly terrified to be a part of this wonderful show! While they are a Moppets Shakespeare rookie, you may have seen them in other Montford Stage productions (Midsummer Night's Dream as Faerie Court, Richard III as Edward of Whales), or working with the Moppets Commedia Dell'arte Troupe. They would like to thank their beautiful dog, Lola, for being patient enough to sit still while they repeated the same lines at her innumerable times.
Eska Garrison
Eska has been in many moppets plays starting at the age of 12, starting with the Tempest, and going on to do The Odyssey, Mac, One acts, Winter’s Tale, and Much Ado About nothing. Eska has done plays for her elementary school and high school, and plans to go to college next year for a major in Screen Acting. This is Eska’s last play with Montford Moppets, and would like to thank all the Moppets directors she’s had, and helping me find some of my closest friends to this day.
Penelope Hellman
Penelope is a singer, actor, and all around creative. This is their first show with The Moppets! Penelope is a seventh grader at Asheville Waldorf School. Recent credits include The Wonderful Wizard of Oz at Montford and Pepper in Annie Jr. (APAA). Shoutout to all my friends and family for being so supportive!
Andy Higginbotham
Having been a Moppet for several years, Andy is excited to be here once more! He loves learning and developing new skills, whether that be in dance, aerials, Commedia, or Shakespeare, in the studio or on stage. she would like to thank their best friend for ferrying them to every known part of the galaxy, and their mentor for believing in them and pushing him harder then he thought he could go.
Maeve Higginbotham
Maeve is exited to be in the Moppets production of a Hamlet. They have been in past shows like A Midsummer Night's Dream, King Lear, a 1920's Christmas Carol, and Peter Pan, and they hope they make their family and pets proud!
Darcy Kinsey
Darcy Dale Kinsey is an audacious, warm, witty community loving performer who hasn't found a stage he doesn't love. He's a friend to the world, a renaissance man who loves bring his love of life to the world. He's in the Commedia troupe and has acted in lots of things.
Emerson Martin
Emerson is so excited to be in his first show with the Moppets! He has previously appeared in Hadestown Teen (Worker), Beetlejuice JR (Otho), Anastasia Youth Edition (Ensemble), Frozen JR (Olaf), and many more at Parkway Playhouse, and Mr. Bucket at ACT. Emerson is a rising freshman at Mountain Heritage High School and wants to be a theater teacher. He would like to thank Rachel for telling him about this opportunity!
Asha McAuley
Asha McAuley (Francisco, Player, Grave Digger's Assistant) has enjoyed performances by the Montford Park Players her whole life. She is so excited to be a part of the Moppets' production of Hamlet. This spring, she helped write, produce and narrate Rainbow Community/Omega Middle School's production of "Writing Our Tomorrow". Offstage, she enjoys practicing internal chinese martial arts, tap dancing, soccer, and reading Japanese manga.
Phin Price
Phin Price has been a Moppet since 2020. This is his first show with them since 2024. He would also like to shoutout Charlie Tomlinson and Eska Garrison for being real ones. Thanks you to Moppets for helping me get closer to acting!!
Elliot Self
Elliot Self is a rising Junior at The Franklin School of Innovation, he is very excited to be doing Hamlet as his 6th show, he has been in “The Odyssey” “The Winters Tale” “Much Ado About Nothing” “King Lear” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” with The Moppets and has done “The Prom” and “Honk Jr” with his school. He loves growing to know and care about his cast mates and is very excited to grow into this show
Charlie Tomlinson
Charlie Mae is a rising senior at SILSA who has been learning Shakespeare with the Moppets since 7th grade. Some of her many favorite roles include Celia in AHS’s ‘As You Like It’, Tinkerbell in the MPP’s ‘Peter & Wendy’, and Capulet in Moppets ‘Romeo and Juliet: In Memoriam.’ This will be her last Moppets production, and she wants to express her gratitude to the program for instilling this passion within her. It is thanks to the love Ashleigh, Rachel, and Nicole poured into this program that her love of Shakespeare has grown, the alumni’s kindness for giving her confidence, and the productions for giving her her best friend, Phin. Most of all, she thanks her beautiful mother, Julie, for her unwavering support in every show.
Tilden Varley
Tilden Ash Varley is a rising eighth grader at Odyssey School. He was recently in Suessical as a Wickersham Brother with the APAA. Last summer he was in A Midsummer Night’s Dream as a Possum Fairy. The last time he was in a Moppets show was five billion years ago as Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing. He thanks his family and friends for their support.
Ashleigh Goff
Ashleigh has been performing and teaching for the better part of the past 20 years (give or take). She's been onstage, off stage, back stage, under the stage, over the stage- you name it and she's probably done it. In all her years in theatre, teaching has been the most rewarding. She's worked locally with Bright Star, Tanglewood, Poetry Alive! and LEAF. She's also worked with Traveling Players Ensemble in Great Falls, Virginia where she was inspired to create The Montford Moppets.
Graham Esmon
Graham Esmon is a fifth-year student at Buncombe County Early College and a long-time Moppet. He has previously appeared in many Moppets shows, including "Hamlet", "The Odyssey," and . He has also directed several one-act plays.
Henry Worley
Henry Worley is a former Moppet who was recently pulled from retirement to fill in as Oberon I’m “A Midsummer Night's Dream.” When he’s not onstage, Henry also enjoys going on walks and playing guitar. Henry created the original music for this production of Hamlet.
Symone Garrison
Symone Garrison is a rising 8th grader at ArtSpace Charter School. You may have seen them in past Moppets shows such as the Christmas Carol, A Winter's Tale, or in various Commedia Dell'Arte performances with their troupe. They would like to thank their family for supporting them through their theatre journey and also their cat Circe.
