Though much has changed about The Lyceum since its founding in 1960, our mission remains the same: to develop, enrich and engage our audience through professional theatre. Michael is thrilled to return to the Lyceum stage this year.  In previous seasons, he has appeared in GUESS WHO’S COMING TO DINNER, THE CAINE MUTINY COURT-MARTIAL, BLACK COFFEE, THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER, YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU, AND THEN THERE WERE NONE and RUN FOR YOUR WIFE. His credits include: Broadway (THE FRONT PAGE and THE CORN IS GREEN), Off-Broadway (FRANKENSTEIN and BRAND), the San Francisco company of THE FOREIGNER, as well as appearances in various regional theatres (Mark Taper Forum, Geffen Playhouse, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Cincinnati Playhouse, La Mirada Theatre and Olney Theatre among many others).  His film  and TV appearances include: BONES, MODERN FAMILY, TRUE BLOOD, LONGMIRE, MURDER IN THE FIRST, SHOOTER, STAR TREK-TNG, THE NUTTY PROFESSOR and SPACE JAM, to name a few. A director as well, Michael served as the Artistic Director of Pennsylvania’s Allenberry Playhouse from 1987 to 1992.  For the Lyceum, he directed SOUTH PACIFIC and MY FAIR LADY, among others. He is a proud member of AEA, SAG-AFTRA and SDC. Michael is married to Debbie Rothhaar.  Their children are Will, Charlie, Catherine and Rob. They have three grandchildren: Sylvie Rose, Nina and Luke.

His extensive regional stage credits include Baltimore CenterStage (Snow Falling on Cedars), Denver Center (Dracula), Pittsburgh Public (The Little Foxes, Born Yesterday, Much Ado About Nothing), Pioneer Theatre (12 Angry Men, Light in the Piazza), Arkansas Rep (August: Osage County), many others. Katherine Ella Wood is a Brooklyn based actress and jazz singer. She studied Environmental Science and Acting at NYU – Tisch, and Acting at The Juilliard School. Katherine has since performed at Minton’s Playhouse, SMOKE Jazz Club, Dizzy’s Coca-Cola Club, SOUTH Jazz Kitchen, Joe’s Pub, Nublu, Public Records, The Williamsburg Hotel, Gran Torino, Cornelia St. Café, The Flatiron Room, and many others. Her stage credits include Kansas City Swing at Crossroads Theatre Co., Talking about Race with Anna Deavere – Smith at The Public Theatre, and Mouth Wide Open at The Yard with Amy Brenneman.

Garrett is thrilled to not only be making his debut at the Lyceum Theatre, but also to be back on the stage after a long pandemic year. Being able to share the stage once again with artists and audiences alike is a blessing, and a day he has been looking forward to for some time. Garrett recently graduated from Temple University with his MFA in acting, and also received his BFA in Acting from Western Michigan University. He would also like to thank his mom and dad (Heidi & Ken) for the immense and loving support they have shown him through the early parts of his career, and also to the rest of his family and friends who have encouraged him every step of the way. Here’s to live theatre making a comeback!

Chris White is a proud graduate of Webster Conservatory and a member of Actor’s Equity. He is delighted to join the Arrow Rock family with Orient Express. Chris has toured the country in Of Ebony Embers and The Mikado, and is a former company member of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Nebraska Shakespeare, and Theater at Monmouth. Other regional credits include musicals at Arena Stage, Hangar Theater, and The Fireside. Chris thanks Quin for this opportunity, and you for supporting live theater.

After eight years of living in beautiful Bellingham WA as Chair of Theatre and dance at Western Washington University, Beth is coming back to Missouri and to become part of the Lyceum Theatre company once again. What an honor it was to play Aunt Em and Yente right before she left for her PNW adventure, and now the homecoming is complete with the chance to join the casts of SISTER ACT and MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS. She thanks Quin and everyone who works to make Lyceum one of the finest theatre experiences in the country. Now Beth really knows she is home.

Manon Halliburton is returning to Arrow Rock after having last been seen as Mrs. Cratchit in A Christmas Carol. She is very happy to be back in one of the most beautiful places on earth.  Regional theatre work includes Indiana Rep, Kansas City Rep, Cincinnati Playhouse, Chester Theatre Company Mass., Utah Shakespeare Festival and Unicorn Theatre Kansas City. She lived in New York for several years and worked at Greenwich Street Theatre, HBO Theatre, Century Center and Riverside Theatre.  Television credits include Law and Order and The Sopranos.  Thank you Quin for having me in this fantastic story!  I love you Jon.

Bailey is so grateful to be back on the Lyceum’s stage! After appearing in nine past Lyceum productions, this place feels like a second home to her. That “nine” will turn to fourteen after appearing in the Lyceum’s 60th Anniversary season, and she couldn’t be more thankful to Quin, Steve, Paula and the rest of the Lyceum staff for letting her be a part of it. Before the Covid Pandemic, Bailey was performing for Disney Cruise Lines as part of the Mainstage cast and crew. Jean, a native New Yorker,  is just so happy to be out of the house. Her husband is even happier. After last year, he’s thrilled for her to be back in Missouri again and says she can stay as long as she wants! Which is just fine with her. Jean had a fabulous time back in 2019 here at Arrow Rock performing in Cinderella, All Shook Up and 9 To 5. Other favorite shows over the years include: A Christmas Carol (Geva Theatre), Sweeney Todd (Denver Center), My Fair Lady (Cape Playhouse), Mary Poppins (Alabama Shakespeare Festival), Mamma Mia (Northern Stage) and Sylvia (New London Barn Playhouse). She has co-created production shows for Royal Carribbean Cruises, and performed both onstage and as a studio singer at Tokyo Disney. Quin Gresham**

Director

2021 marks Mr. Gresham’s seventeenth season in Arrow Rock. During the 2019 season, Mr. Gresham directed Rogers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella and A Christmas Carol, which he also adapted. In previous seasons, Mr. Gresham has directed The Hound of the Baskervilles, Stand By Your Man: The Tammy Wynette Story, Around the World in 80 Days, Cotton Patch Gospel, Love Letters (starring Tab Hunter and Joyce DeWitt), The Wizard of Oz, The Music Man, Camelot, To Kill A Mockingbird,Run For Your WifeThe FantasticksThe Producers, Hairspray, Sleuth, West Side Story, Little Women the Musical, Into the WoodsMisery1776, Tuesdays with Morrie, Dracula, Peter Pan and Driving Miss Daisy. In 2011, his production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Webster University was named the 2011 Best Musical in St. Louis by The Riverfront Times. Quin’s work has also been seen at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Totem Pole Playhouse, The Riverside Theatre, The National Arts Club, Stephens College, Providence College, Greenbrier Valley Theatre, Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre and The Texas Shakespeare Festival. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for L.E.A.D. Institute, an non-profit organization committed to providing services to deaf and hard of hearing individuals in the state of Missouri. Quin received the 2020 Missouri Arts Award for Leadership in the Arts. Like his two predecessors, Quin is a proud graduate of the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University.

Ryan J. Zirngibl

Scenic Desiger

Ryan J. Zirngibl is delighted to be the Resident Scenic Designer and Technical Director for Arrow Rock Lyceum.  Ryan has designed over 200 productions and worked on hundreds more.  Lyceum guests have seen many of Ryan’s designs over the last eleven years including A Christmas Carol, Million Dollar Quartet, The King and I, Fiddler on the Roof, Boeing, Boeing, Fully Committed and many more.  Highlights of his career include the Off-Broadway premier of Lucky Duck with composer Henry Krieger(Dreamgirls) and writers Bill Russell (Sideshow) and Jeffery Hatcher (Emma, Tuesdays with Morrie), a series of Puccini Operas for the Ukraine National Opera, scenic art on the Lionsgate film You’re Next, and the world premier of Master and Margarita with Honorary Associate Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Barry Kyle and A-list screen writer Ron Hutchinson.  Ryan is also a proud Co-Founder of Bellenwhissle Productions, a Theatre for Young Audiences company based out of Kansas City that creates site-specific interactive shows around the Midwest based on several literary classics.  Ryan would like to thank all of the Lyceum family whose tireless work has made this production possible, it is an honor creating with each and every one of you!  For more information please visit www.ryanjzirngibl.com.

Garth Dunbar

Garth is excited to be back again! The Lyceum was one of Garth’s first professional jobs after Webster U and he has a part of 12 seasons at the Rock. Based in St. Louis, he is an adjunct professor of Costume Design at Webster University, and has worked with area theatres like STAGES St. Louis and Opera Theatre of St. Louis. Favorite Lyceum designs include The Fantasticks, Into the Woods, Peter Pan, Little Women, Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast, Oklahoma, Mamma Mia!, The Hound of the Baskervilles, Beehive, Mary Poppins, Crazy for You, Footloose, Honky Tonk Angels, and Cinderella.

Randy B. Winder

RANDY B. WINDER (Resident Lighting Designer) Randy is thrilled to once again be a member of the creative team for this production. Winder has designed over 120 productions for The Lyceum including Sanders Family, Forever Plaid, The Fantasticks, Always…Patsy Cline, Cats, Hairspray, Nunsense, Camelot, Spamalot, Children of a Lesser God, Tuesdays with Morrie, A Christmas Carol, The Producers, My Fair LadyPump Boys and DinettesLes Miserable, Footloose, Crazy for You, and Honky Tonk Angels. His expansive career in the professional theatre has spanned over 35 years and he is proud to call his fellow crazy bunch of theatrical misfits “family”. Jon Robertson

Sound Designer/Composer

Jon Robertson is a composer and sound designer. He is pleased to return to Arrow Rock. Recent composing credits include Death and the Maiden (Kansas City Actors Theatre), The 39 Steps (Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre), Men on Boats (Unicorn Theatre), And Then There Were None (Kansas City Actors Theatre). His solo piano work Sympathy Through Motion received its world premiere in New York City in 2019.

Tony Dearing is very happy to be returning to the Lyceum for his twenty-eighth season. He has stage-managed for other theatres such as the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, the New Theatre, Muny Student Theatre in St. Louis and Arkansas Repertory Theatre.

Iván Dario Cano has a Masters in Stage Management from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and is an Alumnus of The Juilliard School’s Professional Intern Program. Credits include Barrington Stage Company’s Get Your Pink Hands Off Me Sucka and Give Me Back; Juilliard’s The Trojan Women, Crumbs from the Table of Joy, Plano; Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre’s Summer 2016-19, Million Dollar Quartet, Beehive: The 60's Musical, Swingtime Canteen and A Christmas Carol 2015-18. He is very excited to be returning for his fifth year and Arrow Rock’s 60th year celebration!

Jason Styres’ Broadway credits include A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder, Dames at Sea, Disney’s The Lion King, and Nice Work If You Can Get It. Styres’ off-Broadway credits include Puffs, Midnight at the Never Get (York), Pedro Pan, and Neurosis, among others. His national tour credits include A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder, The King and I, Fiddler on the Roof, The Lion King, and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. His film and TV credits include How You Look at It, Carousel (PBS), Six by Sondheim (HBO), and So You Think You Can Dance? Styres is a seven-time Artios nominee and a New York board member of the Casting Society of America.

Ken Ludwig

Playwright

Ken Ludwig has had six shows on Broadway, seven in London's West End, and many of his works have become a standard part of the American repertoire. His 28 plays and musicals have been performed in over 30 countries in more than 20 languages and are produced throughout the United States every night of the year. Lend Me a Tenor won two Tony Awards and was called “one of the classic comedies of the 20th century by The Washington PostCrazy For You was on Broadway for five years and won the Tony and Olivier Awards for Best Musical. In addition, he has won the Edgar Award for Best Mystery of the Year, two Laurence Olivier Awards, two Helen Hayes Awards, and the Edwin Forrest Award for Contributions to the American Theater. His plays have starred, among others, Alec Baldwin, Carol Burnett, Tony Shaloub, Joan Collins and Hal Holbrook. His stage version of Murder on the Orient Express was written expressly at the request of the Agatha Christie Estate, and his latest play, Dear Jack, Dear Louise, won the 2020 Charles MacArthur Award for Best New Play of the Year and is optioned for Broadway. His book How To Teach Your Children Shakespeare, published by Penguin Random House, won the Falstaff Award for Best Shakespeare Book of the Year, and his essays are published in the Yale Review. He is a graduate of Harvard and Cambridge and is a frequent guest speaker for groups as varied as The Oxford-Cambridge Society, The Jane Austen Society of North America, The Folger Shakespeare Library, and The Baker Street Irregulars. For more information, see his website at www.kenludwig.com.
