Meet the Company
Abigail Anastasio
Abigail Anastasio is a criminal defense attorney, former Judge, and former assistant district attorney. Her likes include: the evening news, her BMW, flavored coffee, Sex in the City, power suits, gardening and Harrison Ford. (Her actual likes include: her family, her fur kiddos, travel and the great outdoors. This is her second play.)
David Chapin
David is excited to be performing in his first Cone Man Running production. He has been appearing on stages in the Houston area for the past 14 years and has performed Shakespeare (Don Pedro in Much Ado about Nothing, Theseus in A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and Shakespeare in Hollywood (as Jack Warner). David has appeared in a range of shows, from Neil Simon’s California Suite to Dial M for Murder. He recently appeared in a bucket list show for him, performing in The Shadow Box as Brian. David also appeared in the Chris Evans feature film Puncture. For his day job, David is a lawyer who has litigated cases in Houston and around Texas for 28 years. He has successfully argued a number of appeals before the First and Fourteenth Courts of Appeal in Houston and the Texas Supreme Court.
Corey Fawcett
Corey Fawcett is a criminal defense attorney at Hochglaube & DeBorde but he’s best known for having excellent taste in scene partners. Corey makes his performing debut across from his wife, Meg. He’s just happy to be here.
Megan Fawcett
Megan Rose Fawcett is a civil litigation attorney at Crady Jewett McCulley & Houren where she practices commercial litigation and bankruptcy law. Office Hours marks Meg’s return to the stage, she’s a thespian you know. She got her husband, Corey Fawcett, into this mess and by God she’ll get him out. Meg says “this is for Fanny Brice.”
Marcus Fifer
Marcus Fifer hails from the beautiful Texas Hill Country. He is a full-time civil trial lawyer and part-time amateur thespian. By “part-time” he means he hadn’t set foot on a stage (courtrooms excluded) since the 8th grade before joining the cast of Cone Man Running’s 2023 production, Witness For The Prosecution. When he is not representing clients or learning lines, you can find Marcus coaching law school mock trial and trial advocacy students or randomly quoting lines from Hamilton in otherwise normal conversations. Marcus appreciates Cone Man Running Productions and the show’s directors and production support for the opportunity to join this talented cast, and his family, friends, and mentors for their support in all he does. It has a been a fun ride, and he’s already looking forward to the next show!
Trey Gifford
Trey Gifford is a first-time actor and has enjoyed the challenge! After years of learning to be true to himself, he's enjoyed fully embracing the opportunity to lie to both himself and those around him. When not trying new things, Trey enjoys the comfort of his family, dewy mornings on the tee box, and cold Saturday beers watching college football. He swears he's about to finish the novel Lonesome Dove, but it's taking him longer than if he'd just walked the Chisholm Trail himself. Trey practices probate litigation in Houston.
Alex LeBlanc
Alex LeBlanc is a 23-year-old, second-year student at the University of Houston Law Center. This is her first show with Cone Man Running Productions. When not buried in a casebook, Alex enjoys working out, playing pickleball, hanging out with her cats, mock trial, and telling everyone she knows she is in law school. Alex hopes to become a prosecutor after graduation if she doesn't get her big break after this show!
Patrice McKinney
Patrice Baumann McKinney is thrilled to be back on stage in a Cone Man Running production with this incredible cast of zany characters. Patrice has previously appeared in Inherit the Wind, as Mrs. Sarah Brady; in Twelve Angry Jurors, as the Foreperson; in Witness for the Prosecution, as Ms. Mayhew; and in Night Court, an all lawyer musical production, in a number of roles, but her favorites were as a file box, Glenda the Good Witch, Lady Gaga, Dolly Parton, and Baby Bop. During the pandemic, she appeared virtually as RBG (Ruth Bader Ginburg), Suffragette Carrie Chapman Catt, and Kellyanne Conway. By day, she is an attorney with the Lanier Law Firm.
Gerardo Mejia
Gerardo Mejia, born in Honduras, is a serious whitewater kayaking enthusiast and a dedicated lifetime learner. Law school is his second career, and he has been using law school, acting, and improv to improve his storytelling, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills. Gerardo is set to graduate in 2025. His professional background includes extensive experience in designing software for energy trading, working with major companies like Shell, Accenture, and Cheniere Energy. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his wife Gloria, his three dogs, and is expecting his first child this year. One thing is for sure: he always strives for improvement and getting better.
Mathew Mendoza
Matt Mendoza is a Houston personal injury attorney who has acted as Harold Hill in The Music Man, the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, Judge Danforth in The Crucible, a townsperson (and Monkey Man) in Inherit the Wind, Bailiff in 12 Angry Jurors, and Thomas Clegg in Witness for the Prosecution. When he is not practicing law, or acting, you will find him in the kitchen baking pastries or on the golf course. Matt would like to thank his beautiful wife Amanda Markham for her support and for putting up with his constant desire to bring a little more laughter into everyone’s life.
Danny Norris
Danny is a 16-year attorney, and currently an attorney for the City of Houston. He is also a former law professor and Associate Director at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
Danny is a former Trustee for the Harris County Department of Education, as well as the former president of the Houston Lawyers Association and former chair of the African American Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Texas.
Danny is married with two children. He has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, a Master of Science from the University of North Texas and a JD Law Degree from Texas Southern University.
John Raley
John Raley is a civil trial lawyer. His pro bono legal battles to exonerate people wrongfully convicted of murder have been chronicled in several documentaries, including Detective Diaries: Guilty Until Proven Innocent and An Unreal Dream: the Michael Morton Story, on Apple TV and Amazon. John has performed with AD Players - To Kill a Mockingbird, Kingdom Undone; Dirt Dogs Theatre Company - The Graduate, Twilight: Los Angeles 1992, August, Osage County; and Cone Man Running Productions - Clue, Inherit the Wind, 12 Angry Jurors, and Witness for the Prosecution. John may currently be seen cross-examining Glen Powell in an attempted murder trial on Netflix in Richard Linklater’s new movie Hit Man. Thanks Kelly Raley - for everything!
Elizabeth Ray
Elizabeth “Peach” Ray admits to having a confidence problem —she has too much of it. She’s in her 46th year doing some kind of legal enterprise. Trial lawyer, judge, arbitrator/mediator. Prior to that she owned the Cotton Club in Lubbock, Texas. This is her second acting adventure, the first being last summer in A Witness for the Prosecution. She is thankful for the chance to work with such a stellar cast and producer and sends gratitude to her husband for his patience.Cawlyn Robinson
Cawlyn Robinson is an attorney in the Affirmative & Special Litigation section at the Harris County Attorney's Office. Cawlyn graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 2022 and was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution team. He has written comedy scripts and done improv comedy. Cawlyn is acting in his second play, after acting in Witness for the Prosecution in 2023.
Hilary Unger
Hilary Unger came to Houston from Miami Beach by way of New York. While in New York, she dabbled in screenwriting and earlier in the century was pleasantly surprised to learn that one of her screenplays actually made it to the quarter finals of the Austin Film Festival. Her prior acting experience consists of poorly attended comedy open mic nights, starring as a flying monkey in her elementary school’s production of The Wizard of Oz and last year's production of Witness for the Prosecution. Hilary is the mother of two, a member of Houston’s legal community and very happy to get to keep playing onstage!
Danny Franco
Allison Mathis
Christine Weems
Christine Weems is a founding board member of Cone Man Running Productions as well as the artistic director of their Smattering/Scattering 24 hour play series. She has most recently directed an all lawyer production of Twelve Angry Jurors and Witness for the Prosecution, an all female version of The Importance of Being Earnest and zoom productions of Cone Man’s first Caper Murder on the Deep Blue Sea (It’s Really More of a Bay) as well as Clue. She is an often director, an occasional playwright, a seldom actor, a photographer, judge, mock trial director, law school professor, wife, mommy and an extra in Office Space. She is currently running for the Texas Supreme Court. Much thanks to the men in her life who make everything she does possible - Michael, Tommy, Jack and Sammy.
