Peter Pan tells the magical story of a boy who never grows up. One night in London, Peter Pan visits the nursery of the Darling children—Wendy, John, and Michael—to retrieve his lost shadow. With the help of his tiny, spirited companion Tinker Bell, Peter teaches the children to fly, whisking them away to the fantastical world of Neverland, an island filled with pirates, Boy Scouts, and the Lost Boys. While You Wait For the Show:
Video: WICKED Star Jordan Litz Shares Experience Running NYC Marathon and Performing on Broadway
On Sunday, November 2, Jordan Litz achieved an incredible feat. Not only did the performer run in the New York City Marathon, but he was also on the boards dancing through life as Fiyero in both performances of Wicked on Broadway.
Litz visited TODAY to talk all about it, sharing his preparation for the big day and how he got through it all. Before Sunday, he took to social media to request that fans shout "Fiyero" to him on the course to cheer him on. "[I heard them] the entire last five miles, coming up on 5th Ave. And I needed it because I was deep in the pain cave at that point," he shared.
The performer finished the marathon at around 12:50, giving him less time to get to the Gershwin Theatre than he had hoped. "I finished about half an hour later than I had originally planned to finish, which made getting to the theater so much more complicated," said Litz. "We got there just in time for half hour... [I] walked on stage, piled as much food as I could into my system, and then I blacked out," he laughed. "I finished 'Dancing Through Life' and I thought, 'That's one of the best Dancing Through Life's I've done in weeks.'"
Check out the full interview with the performer now. Litz, a competitive swimmer who competed in the 2012 US Olympic Trials, joined the Broadway company of Wicked as Fiyero on May 16, 2023, and has since performed over 1,500 shows. In the New York City marathon, his final time came in at 3:40:53.
Lesli Margherita, Max Clayton Among Audience Members in THE MUPPET SHOW Special
On Wednesday, Disney debuted a brand-new episode of The Muppet Show, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the original series. A full audience was present to witness the characters make their long-awaited return to the Muppet Theatre, and, among the eclectic mix of humans and Muppets, eagle-eyed Broadway fans may have noticed two familiar faces in the crowd.
Broadway alum Lesli Margherita (Gypsy, Matilda) took to Instagram to share a screenshot from the special, confirming that she was in the audience when it was taped last year.
A self-professed "Muppet freak," she thanked choreographer Christopher Gattelli and director Alex Timbers for her inclusion in her post, adding, "Loving The Muppets as much as we do made you both the exact right people to bring this back when it's needed the most."
Margherita can be seen sitting in the crowd alongside fellow Broadway star Max Clayton, who is currently starring in Chicago. Take a look at the two performers in the screenshot below.
In The Muppet Show, Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the Muppet gang are all back for the brand-new special event. Music, comedy, and a whole lot of chaos are bound to ensue when The Muppets once again take the stage of the original Muppet Theatre with special guest Sabrina Carpenter. Maya Rudolph will also appear as a guest star alongside Carpenter and executive producer Seth Rogen.
From 20th Television, Disney Branded Television, The Muppets Studio and Point Grey Pictures, the special event is directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers, who also serves as executive producer. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver and Alex McAtee are executive producers for Point Grey Pictures; David Lightbody, Leigh Slaughter and Michael Steinbach are executive producers for The Muppets Studio; Sabrina Carpenter, Albertina Rizzo, Matt Vogel and Eric Jacobson are executive producers.
Veteran Muppet performers Bill Barretta, Dave Goelz, Eric Jacobson, Peter Linz, David Rudman, and Matt Vogel performed the majority of the Muppet characters in this production, supported by a talented team of additional performers. Dave Goelz, who has performed with The Muppets for over 50 years, was one of the performers on the original The Muppet Show and originated the characters Gonzo and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, among many others.
The original series, The Muppet Show, created by Jim Henson, ran from 1976 through 1981 and aired in over 100 countries, featuring notable guest stars, including Elton John, Johnny Cash, Diana Ross, Julie Andrews, Bernadette Peters, Debbie Harry, Gladys Knight, Liza Minnelli, Paul Simon and many others. During its run, the series earned Emmy, GRAMMY, Peabody, BAFTA and numerous other awards.
Check out our guide to the best of Broadway during the original run here. All five seasons of The Muppet Show are currently available to stream on Disney+.

Rialto Chatter: Regé-Jean Page Will Make Stage Debut in New THE GREAT GATSBY Adaptation in London
A new stage adaptation of The Great Gatsby may be heading to the West End, led by Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page. As reported by Baz Bamigboye of Deadline, the production is written by Joel Horwood and Maria Aberg, will be directed by Michael Longhurst, and will begin performances this fall, in a theater to be announced.
“The Great Gatsby has always been a story incredibly close to my heart, and I couldn’t be more excited about bringing this new adaptation to life in London’s West End,” Page wrote, in an exclusive statement for Deadline.
”I’ve been looking for the right thing to do on stage for years, and this piece’s delicate balance of spectacle and real human intimacy is something Mike [Longhurst] and I have always looked to excite and move audiences with," he said.
Page went on to share that this new adaptation "has as sharp an interest in the social critique of the times in F Scott Fitzgerald’s original, as it does their devastating effect on the fragile, flawed people trying to live and dream through them."

Video: Jonathan Bailey Talks Fiyero's Transformation in WICKED: FOR GOOD Featurette
In a new featurette for Wicked: For Good, Jonathan Bailey speaks about the dramatic transformation of his character Fiyero as seen in the new movie. Warning: plot spoilers ahead for the film and the stage musical.
"The Scarecrow transformation was always going to be a real point of focus and conversation," says Bailey in the video. "The big challenge in terms of acting is maintaining emotional continuity while radically shifting form. It really is a story about choosing love firercly, freely and without regret."
Watch the featurette, where Bailey highlights the sacrifice Fiyero makes for Elphaba and the powerful bond that keeps them connected, even as he takes on a different form.
Wicked: For Good is now in theaters. Opening on November 21, the movie brought in $150 million in North America during its opening weekend, plus $76 million internationally, bringing its global total to $226 million. Wicked: For Good marks the biggest opening weekend for a film based on a Broadway musical, beating a record set by the first film last year. As of December 11, the movie has grossed more than $444 million worldwide.
Get tickets to see Wicked: For Good in theaters. Listen to the soundtrack here and check out our exclusive conversation with composer John Powell and arranger Stephen Oremus.
Wicked: For Good picks up after the 2024 blockbuster. Elphaba, now demonized as The Wicked Witch of the West, lives in exile, hidden within the Ozian forest while continuing her fight for the freedom of Oz’s silenced Animals and desperately trying to expose the truth she knows about The Wizard.
Wicked: For Good is directed by Jon M. Chu and stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Ariana Grande as Glinda, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Jeff Goldblum as The Wizard, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Ethan Slater as Boq, and Marissa Bode as Nessarose. Other cast members include Tony-nominee Colman Domingo as the voice of the Cowardly Lion and Sharon D. Clarke (Caroline, or Change) as the voice of Elphaba’s childhood nanny, Dulcibear.

But in fact, his heart’s desire is not in society at all — she is a resourceful maid called Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), working for the formidable Lady of the house, Araminta Gun (Katie Leung).
When fate brings Benedict and Sophie back together, Benedict wrestles between the reality of his affection for this intriguing maid and the fantasy of the Lady in Silver — unaware that they are the same person. Will Benedict’s inability to see these women as one in the same derail the undeniable spark between him and Sophie? And can love truly conquer anything — even a cross-class connection forbidden by society?
Inspiring Benedict’s journey are the marriages of his siblings —including Francesca (Hannah Dodd) to John Stirling (Victor Alli), and Colin (Luke Newton) to Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), who faces new challenges as a now public gossip columnist.
