LATE SEATING & RE-SEATING:

Due to the design of our theatre, we cannot guarantee seating for late arrivals or for patrons who leave the theatre during the performance. As a courtesy to our artists and our audiences, late arrivals will be seated in a suitable location by our staff if possible and at the appropriate intervals.


REFRESHMENTS:

Only concession items purchased in the Wine & Dessert Bar are allowed in the theatre, patio and lobby areas. Yes, you can bring your drinks and snacks into the theatre!


CHILDREN:

Capital Stage is noted for bringing intimate bold productions to our region and we encourage young adults to experience a live performance. Children age sixteen and up are welcome at Capital Stage unless specifically noted in the production’s description.


WHEELCHAIR SEATING:

Seating locations at Capital Stage for patrons using wheelchairs or with limited mobility are located in the first row. Tickets for these seats may be purchased in person or by calling the Box Office at 916-995-5464. Please call ahead to notify the staff.

Restroom facilities are located in the lounge behind the Wine & Dessert Bar.

Alissa Doyle* - Meg Crane Alissa is thrilled to be back at Cap Stage! Local credits include DANCE NATION (B Street Theatre), BEHAVIOR OF BROADUS (Capital Stage), GRAPES OF WRATH (Sac Theatre Co.), and four school tours bringing live theatre to children all over Northern California (B Street Theatre). She has taught acting classes for teens & adults for the last five years at B Street Theatre & Capital Stage and hopes to make all her students proud. Arts education is the future. Deep breaths. Janis Stevens* - Chorus 3 Janis has worked in regional theaters across America as well as internationally in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Short list of roles with Capital Stage: Maria Callas/MASTER CLASS, Violet/AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY and Marjorie/MARJORIE PRIME. She is a 2006 Drama Desk Award Nominee for Outstanding Solo Performance in VIVIEN, was honored with Theatre Tampa Bay’s Outstanding Actress Award in 2016, is a recipient of SF Bay’s Dean Goodman Choice Award and has received numerous Elly’s here in the Sacramento area for directing, acting and Lifetime Achievement. Janis recently recorded the narrative voice of Katharine Hepburn for the documentary CALL ME KATE, currently on Netflix. Very proud to be an Associate Artist with Capital Stage and looking forward to directing GEORGIANA & KITTY: CHRISTMAS AT PEMBERLEY for the holiday season!

Peter Mohrmann*

Peter Mohrmann* - Chorus 4 Peter has appeared in Capital Stage’s productions of STUPID F##KING BIRD, IDEATION, HEDDA GABLER, EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD, AMERICAN BUFFALO, THE TYPOGRAPHER’S DREAM, HUMBLE BOY, and BOY GETS GIRL. Regionally he has performed with Sacramento Theatre Company, the Sacramento Shakespeare Festival, Foothill Theatre Company, City Theatre, Synergy Stage, River Stage and the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. Peter is a co-founder and associate artist with Capital Stage where he has directed THE WICKHAMS: CHRISTMAS AT PEMBERLEY, MISS BENNET: CHRISTMAS AT PEMBERLEY, THE TOTALITARIANS, MAPLE & VINE, THE NORTH PLAN, IN THE NEXT ROOM, FICTION, OR, DINNER WITH FRIENDS, THREE DAYS OF RAIN, RELATIVELY SPEAKING, and JACK AND JILL. Peter received his MFA in acting from the Theatre School/DePaul University, and is an adjunct professor in the theatre arts and film departments at Folsom Lake College, Sacramento City College and Woodland Community College. He is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.

Lee Anthony Williams

Lee Anthony Williams - Chorus 5 Lee is beyond thrilled to make his Capital Stage debut and is humbled to be a part of such a talented cast. Lee’s prior works include THE MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT, ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA and TWELFTH NIGHT at Big Idea Theatre. FRANKENSTEIN, THE GUARDIANS, SLEEPER and AN ADULT EVENING WITH SHEL SILVERSTEIN at Resurrection Theatre. Lee was the recipient of the 2016 Elly Award for Supporting Male Comedy for his role as Cousin Julio in THE MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT at Big Idea Theatre.

Cole Winslow

Cole Winslow - Chorus 6 Cole Winslow is thrilled to be back at Capital Stage. He was a Capital Stage apprentice and appeared in the 2016/2017 season as Jack in HOW TO USE A KNIFE and Andy in PAINT IT! for the apprentice showcase. He was most recently seen as Jim Fingal in THE LIFESPAN OF A FACT. Additional professional credits include Will in MOTHERS AND SONS at Sacramento Theatre Company. He performed in productions with Hummingbird Theatre Company and Sacramento State University. Some of his favorite roles include, Kynaston in THE COMPLETE FEMALE STAGE BEAUTY, Padraic in LIEUTENANT OF INISHMORE, Mr. Marks in INTIMATE APPAREL, and Actor 5 in BOOTYCANDY. Cole received his BA in Theatre Arts from Sacramento State University.

Jennifer Blackmer

Playwright
Jennifer Blackmer - Playwright Jennifer Blackmer is the 2015 PEN/Laura Pels International Foundation for Theatre Award winner for Emerging American Playwright, and serves as Professor of Theatre and Executive Director of the Virginia B. Ball Center for Creative Inquiry at Ball State University. Her plays have been produced off-Broadway and across the country, and include HUMAN TERRAIN, UNRAVELED, Margaret Atwood’s ALIAS GRACE (Joseph Jefferson award for Best Adaptation), DELICATE PARTICLE LOGIC, BORROWED BABIES, and PREDICTOR. Jennifer’s screenplay for HUMAN TERRAIN won the prestigious Alfred P. Sloan Foundation award through the Tribeca Film Institute, and was also a finalist for the Sundance Film Institute Sloan Prize. Additional film and television work include the feature Rare Earth, series Miss Mitchell’s Comet, and a rewrite of the Aaron Berg feature Assault. Jennifer’s writing has been short-listed for the Princess Grace Award and the Shakespeare’s Sister Fellowship, and has been developed by Seven Devils, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Nashville Repertory Theatre, The Playwrights’ Center, The Lark and Activate Midwest. Jennifer is a resident playwright for Chicago's Broken Nose Theatre.

Imani Mitchell

Director
Imani Mitchell - Director Imani Mitchell is a multidisciplinary artist based in Northern California who specializes in writing, directing, and acting. For the past 10 years, she has worked as a professional actor and is the founder of IAM Studios, her film production company. Her most recent theater directing credits include: LOVE & BASEBALL (B Street Theatre), WHAT TO SEND UP WHEN IT GOES DOWN (Celebration Arts) and PIPELINE (Celebration Arts). In 2019, she wrote, directed, and produced her first feature film, WHIRLPOOL, which is now available on Amazon Prime. Imani is thankful for such an amazing cast and crew and is excited to direct at Capital Stage!

Michael Stevenson

Artistic Director
For Capital Stage, Michael has directed HEROES OF THE FOURTH TURNING, GLORIA, THE LIFESPAN OF A FACT, ADMISSIONS, THE HUMANS, THE OTHER PLACE, SWEAT, THE THANKSGIVING PLAY, LUNA GALE, STUPID F##KING BIRD, HOW TO USE A KNIFE, DISGRACED, MR. BURNS, IDEATION, CLYBOURNE PARK, MAURITIUS, ERRATICA (World Premiere), and LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES. He has directed at regional theaters including: B Street Theater, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Orlando Shakespeare Company, Perseverance Theater Company, and Sacramento Theater Company. As an actor he has appeared at many regional theaters including: 42nd Street Moon, American Conservatory Theater, The Aurora Theater, Bailiwick Repertory Theater, Capital Stage, B Street Theater, the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and Marriott’s Lincolnshire Theater. He holds an M.F.A. from the American Conservatory Theater.

Keith Riedell

Managing Director
Keith celebrates his 17th year at Capital Stage, joining the company early in the second season. He brings to Capital Stage his varied experiences in the theatre, management, team building, counseling, training and corporate improvement. In his role as Managing Director he hopes to make Capital Stage a world class place to work, while playing an important role in the social justice efforts in our region.

Tony Gabrielson

Production Manager
Tony joins Capital Stage this season as the Production and Company Manager. He has worked with many theaters and dance companies locally and around the country over the last 15 years, most recently Stage Managing SMART PEOPLE last season, here at Cap Stage. Favorite productions include: DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST with Barter Theater in Abingdon, VA, ON BORROWED TIME at Two River Theater in Red Bank, NJ, and developmental workshops of BOTTLESHOCK! THE MUSICAL. He is blessed and beyond grateful to continue working as an artist in our community. Love and thanks to Jessa and Piper - his favorite people.

Wesley Apfel*

Stage Manager
Wesley is excited to be back at Capital Stage for PREDICTOR. Previously with Capital Stage: THE WICKHAMS: CHRISTMAS AT PEMBERLEY (2022 & 2019), THE GREAT LEAP, SWEAT, BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY, SLOWGIRL, and THE ROOMMATE. Recently: POOR YELLA REDNECKS: VIETGONE 2 (American Conservatory Theater, SF); UNSEEN, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER (Oregon Shakespeare Festival); LEAR (CalShakes). Sacramento productions include the World Premieres of THE DONNER PARTY, OF KITES AND KINGS, and KATE: THE UNEXAMINED LIFE with Sacramento Theater Company. Regional premieres at Music Circus, Aurora, Theatreworks, Center REP, 42nd Street Moon, Paper Mill Playhouse and Barrington Stage. Original NY productions of THE GRADUATE, GUTENBERG THE MUSICAL!, BAT BOY, THE MUSICAL OF MUSICALS, and THE THING ABOUT MEN. Production Supervisor for the SPF Summer Play Festival. Kayla Joy Joseph

Assistant Stage Manager
Kayla is thrilled to be the ASM on PREDICTOR and to be working at Capital Stage for the first time! In 2022, she was a stage management intern with Broadway at Music Circus, working on CAROUSEL, SOMETHING ROTTEN!, and THE COLOR PURPLE. Kayla is a student at Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, pursuing a BFA in Theatre with a concentration in Stage Management.

Cameron Hoyt

Scenic Designer
Cameron is very excited to be designing PREDICTOR his first show with Capital Stage. Cameron is a designer and technical director local to Sacramento. His most recent designs include ANTIGONE and RENT at the Harris Center with Falcons Eye Theater. Cameron works full-time at Folsom Lake College as their Shop Foreman and Technical Director as well as helping to teach all aspects of technical theater from set construction to prop building. He would like to thank the entire Capital Stage company for inviting him to help create art together and hopes that you enjoy it.

Isaiah Leeper

Lighting Designer
Isaiah Leeper is very excited to be lighting up Capital Stage for the 5th time after working on PASS OVER and SMART PEOPLE, THE ROYALE and HEROES OF THE FOURTH TURNING. Recently he was able to bring light to the world of CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME at Sacramento Theatre Company as well as ANTIGONE at Folsom Lake College. He would like to take the time to thank the cast, crew, and entire company for their support and wonderful energy.

Rebecca Redmond

Costume Designer
Rebecca Redmond is happy to be back at Capital Stage where she has designed many productions including SMART PEOPLE, BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY, THE TOTALITARIANS, ANNA KARENINA, MAPLE & VINE. Rebecca earned her MFA in theater from UC Davis and is professor at Folsom Lake and Sierra Colleges. Her other recent designs have been seen at San Francisco’s Theater Rhinoceros (PILLOW TALK, THE REVIEW), Sacramento Theater Co. (WAIT UNTIL DARK, GLORIA: A LIFE), Sierra College (THE CRUCIBLE, MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS), Folsom Lake College (MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, MARAT/SADE, HAIR), and Sacramento City College (THE BEAUX’ STRATAGEM, THE GREAT GATSBY). Beverly Turner

Hair & Make-Up Designer
Beverly Turner previously designed wigs/hair for Capital Stage (on “the boat”) for DANGEROUS LIAISONS, and Costume Designed THE NERD. She owned Hello Curls Salon from 2010-2019. Locally, she has designed wigs and hair for B Street Theatre, Sacramento Theatre Company, and the Sacramento Opera. She was the Wig and Makeup Supervisor for American Conservatory Theatre, American Players Theater, and Actors Theatre of Louisville. She currently works in the costume shop for Music Circus and has previously worked in costumes for The Old Globe Theatre, South Coast Repertory, Mill Mountain Theatre.

Ed Lee

Sound Designer/Engineer
Ed is delighted to be part of another season at Capital Stage. He has been involved in almost every production since the company’s aquatic days at the Delta King, from artwork for SPEECH AND DEBATE to appearing in FIRST PERSON SHOOTER. Favorite sound design credits include: MASTER CLASS; SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME; 4000 MILES; MISTAKES WERE MADE; RAPTURE, BLISTER, BURN; and UNCANNY VALLEY.

Kimberly Taketa

Properties Designer
Kimberly is excited to return for another season at Capital Stage. She's an alumni of the Capital Stage Apprentice Program and returned the previous season to Prop Design LIFESPAN OF A DREAM and SMART PEOPLE. She is a graduate of SacState and alumni of the Music Circus Intern Program, primarily as a Props Artisan. She has worked as a Props Master, Light and Scenic designer, and Stage Manager for over 20 productions. She is currently the Technical Director at The Fourth Wall. Notable productions being THE PRODUCERS, DIVINERS, LUNA GALE, MAJORIE PRIME, BARE: THE MUSICAL, and finally, her directorial debut of Team Starkid’s THE TRAIL TO OREGON at the Fourth Wall.

Samantha McLean Haas

Scenic Charge Artist
Samantha has been painting sets for over a decade in the greater Sacramento area. She's worked at Sacramento City College, University of California Davis, Sacramento Theatre Company, B Street, and Broadway at Music Circus. This is her third season with Capital Stage.

K. Kevyne Baar

Dramaturg
Kevyne is thrilled to be returning to Capital Stage as the Dramaturg for PREDICTOR. A member of Viola Spolin’s Young Actors’ Company who became an Equity Stage Manager, and then the Field Representative for Actors’ Equity’s Western Regional Office, she returned to school in 2001 to work on a PhD. This led to her being Equity’s archivist at the Tamiment Library/Robert F. Wagner Labor Archives at New York University. Kevyne moved from Brooklyn, NY to Davis, CA in 2015, and in 2019 her book, "Broadway and the Blacklist" was published.

Nicole C. Limón

Intimacy Coordinator
Nicole C. Limón is an actor/director/dramaturg and theatre faculty at CSU, Sacramento. She is founder of Matriarchy Theatre and resident artist with Teatro Espejo. Recent directing: BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK by Lynn Nottage (Celebration Arts,) EVERYBODY by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (CSUS,) QUANTUM by Tara Moses (Matriarchy,) DANCE NATION by Clare Barron (CSUS,) and FADE by Tanya Saracho (Teatro Espejo.) Nicole holds an MFA in Acting from UC Davis, studied at the Centre for Indigenous Theatre in Toronto, and is a Theatrical Intimacy Director. Yasmine Salmeron

Production Associate
Yasmine is thrilled to be backstage with PREDICTOR. Recent graduate from the University of California Davis earning a BA in Theatre & Dance and Gender, Sexuality, & Women’s Studies. At UC Davis earning credits as ASM for DEATH AND HARRY HOUDINI (The Musical) and ALONE/TOGETHER. In collaboration with directors and designers they have also assisted on SMART PEOPLE, GLORIA, THE WICKHAMS: CHRISTMAS AT PEMBERLEY, and THE CHINESE LADY. A true jack of many trades - stagehand, wardrobe and makeup assistant, production manager, etc. Yasmine looks forward to fostering community through her passion for theatre and the arts and continuing to master her craft.
