Meet the Company
MARY AIAKA KENT
Mrs. Bennet
Mary Aiaka Kent: is thrilled to portray one of her favorite literary characters. She has loved Pride and Prejudice since her mother gave her a copy at 13. She studied theatre at OSU (GO POKES!) and has been active in Gaslight and other theatres for over 30 years now. Thank you to her former professor, mentor and now friend Rena Cook for the dialect work and encouragement. To her cousin Debbie Shorter and her mother Patje Lentz for the costume assistance. Last seen onstage as Cha Cha in Grease and last season's fantastic run of Hansel and Gretel (which she wrote and directed.) Next up for her, The 3 Pigs, A wolf's tale this March for Children's theatre again, this time as only the playwright and emotional support! Thanks to her parents for her love of theatre and babysitting! Thanks to her husband for too much to list, her daughter Katy for laughing every time she delivered a line (even if it wasn't that funny), her son Sam for his fashion and hair help, Adam for his texts of encouragement, and to Ms. Chris and the cast and crew for indulging her inner wackadoodle and NERVES!!!!
MIKE WEATHERFORD
Mr. Bennet, Charlotte Lucas
Mike Weatherford: In 47+years of being onstage at The Gaslight, Mike has had the opportunity to create many wonderful characters and each of them holds special memories in his head and heart. Mr. Bennet and Charlotte Lucas have joined a long list of his favorites including, Tevye, Harold Hill, Atticus Finch, Ebeneezer Scrooge, Sam Carmichael, Lloyd Dallas, George (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf), Julius Caesar, Gaston, Walter Hollinger, Kenickie Ken Gorman, and Phillip Lombard to name a few. Mike would like to thank Christianne, one of his favorite directors, and his brilliant castmates. Most importantly, he would like to thank his biggest fan, his wife, Paula, for supporting him throughout their journey.
LINDSEY NEWELL
Jane Bennet
Lindsey Newell: couldn't have asked for a more fun return to the Gaslight. After obtaining her degree in acting from the University of Oklahoma and living out west as an actor and singer, revisiting Lizzy Bennett has been nothing short of pure joy. Thank you to the cast for your warm welcome and beautiful artistry. Thank you Grandma, Hey Doug, and Tori for your help with the Bean during rehearsals. And above all, thank you to my loves Ryan and Lilith for giving me this time to play.
KAYLA ELMORE BEECH
Jane Bennet
Kayla Beech: is excited to be back on stage after a long stint of being the assistant director for 3 shows. She is grateful to Miss Chris for allowing her to help bring this iconic story to life. This is Kayla's 8th production with the Gaslight in the last 2 years, but has been acting on stage and on camera since the late 90s. She is forever grateful to her friends and family and kids for supporting and encouraging her.
ADRIAN BETZ
Lydia Bennet
Adrian Betz: is a Gaslight regular and lovely Lydia who forgot to write her bio!
CHRISTOPHER MCDANIEL
Mary Bennet, Mr. Bingley
Christopher McDaniel: What an incredible opportunity to be on stage with so much talent. Christopher is humbled and honored to be a part of this production. He could not do any of this without the support of his lovely bride, Lorinda.
JASSIE PERRY
Miss Bingley, Ann DeBourgh
Jassie Parry: is thrilled to be back on stage with so many amazing actors. She last was on stage in Hansel and Gretel. She wants to thank her mom for continuing to make and fix her costumes and for her family to support her while she is on the stage.
ELLIOTT ATWOOD
Mr. Darcy
Elliott Atwood: has had interest in acting for some time and Pride and Prejudice is his first Gaslight production. He is so excited to perform with the amazing cast, whose support and advice couldn't be more appreciated. As a first experience he couldn't be more ecstatic and thankful.
COLIN MONTGOMERY
Mr. Wickham, Lady Catherine DeBourgh
Colin Montgomery: Originally from Washington State, Colin moved to Enid in 2021. This is his third Gaslight production but his first on the main stage. He is thrilled to be part of this amazing cast, everyone involved with this show has made this one of his favorite theater experiences, he has not stopped laughing since rehearsals started, and it has truly been a joy preparing. Colin would like to thank Christianne for giving him this opportunity, and his wife Bethany for all her love and support.
JEAN-RENEE WHITE
Mr. Collins
Jean-Rene' White: is retired from the military and currently living in Northern Enid. He's been a professional actor for 9 years, regularly performs with the alumni here at Gaslight Theatre, and is excited and honored to be working on this production.
LORI LEE
Servant
Lori Lee: is excited to be working on this fun production with this amazing cast and crew. She got a late start in theater and this is her fourth play and second time working with Christianne.
She is thankful to Christianne for encouraging her to step out of her comfort zone and on to the stage. Theater has been such a fun and rewarding experience. It's never too late to try something new!
