A note from our Director
Wow! Ten-weeks of ROTTEN APPLES. Where do I even begin? There's so many people I need to thank. I think it’s best to start with the two most cherished people in my life: my wife, Andrea, and our amazing daughter, Bailey. Andrea, even amidst the whirlwind of our busy lives, your love, support, and endless supply of Red Bulls have been my lifeline in this chaotic theatrical journey. And to Bailey, you’re not just my daughter but the finest stage manager a director could hope for. Your talent and dedication blow me away! Thank you both from the bottom of my heart. I love you!
I want to extend a special thanks to Dianne Hernandez for entrusting me with the direction of this wonderful production. Handing over the reins after over six years is no small feat, yet she did so with grace and generosity. Even while not directing, Dianne was invaluable, lending her time to paint the stunning castle set and diving headfirst into costume design. As you all know, Dianne truly is the best, and we couldn’t have done this show without her. Thank you!
A huge shout out to the phenomenal set construction duo, Jim and Becca Gaston. Becca, your expertise in set design and your incredible sketches brought my vision to life. And Jim, let’s be honest—your craftsmanship is nothing short of masterful. If construction were a martial art, you’d be a black belt! Your talent is awe-inspiring. Thank you both for your hard work.
I absolutely want to take a moment to express my gratitude to two incredible individuals: Doreen Hansen and Tammy Allaniz.
Doreen, the woman with a myriad of voices, thank you for graciously stepping in and bringing countless characters to life whenever we needed you. Your talent and adaptability truly made a difference.
Tammy, I can’t thank you enough for rolling up your sleeves and diving into the hard work of helping us paint the set. Your dedication and willingness to get your hands dirty did not go unnoticed.
Thank you both for your invaluable contributions!
To our sound wizard, Holly Proctor—thank you for orchestrating the perfect array of sound effects and music that brought this production to life. Your diligent efforts have truly elevated our performance.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Heidi Joy Photography for capturing beautiful pictures of our cast and crew.
A big applause goes out to Lilly Morrison, who did double duty. Lily not only played Red but also was our wonderful makeup artist. Thank you!
Now, you might hear the phrase “Don’t be a Karen” quite often, but I assure you, it’s not referring to our wonderful Karen Baudouine. Everyone needs a Karen in their corner! As an exceptional Assistant Director, Karen, you made my role significantly easier. I’m grateful for your unwavering support, and I can’t wait to see you shine as a director yourself…. So hurry up!
To everyone who played a vital role backstage, in tech, loading, and beyond—thank you! Your hard work and dedication are the backbone of this production. No..
