Director’s Note
Ride The Cyclone begins with tragedy — a roller coaster accident that claims the lives of six members of the St. Cassian Chamber Choir. In a strange twist of fate, these teenagers find themselves in a mysterious limbo, given one last chance to tell their stories and plead their case for a return to life. What follows is part talent show, part confessional, and part celebration — a kaleidoscopic exploration of identity, regret, humor, and hope.
At first glance, this is a story about death. But beneath the dark comedy and surreal carnival atmosphere lies something profoundly life-affirming. Ride The Cyclone asks us to look closely at what it means to live fully — to embrace imperfection, to cherish the fleeting, and to recognize that every life, no matter how ordinary it may seem, holds immeasurable value. It’s a show that reminds us how fragile, unpredictable, and beautiful our time on the ride really is.
Though it deals in stories from the afterlife and mystical mechanical fortune tellers, Ride The Cyclone is ultimately about gratitude — for the people we love, the memories we make, and the moments we might otherwise overlook. It’s not a story about loss, but about how meaning persists even when the ride stops.
To the cast (Eliza, Zach, Sam, Dorian, Tauron, Cristina and... someone to remain nameless for now) and crew who poured their creativity, heart, and courage into this production — thank you. Your work has been a joy to witness and a privilege to help guide. To the entire Barnstormers Theater organization and in particular J. "Buzz" DiSabatino. And to everyone joining us on this journey — thank you for coming along for the ride. May you leave the Barn reminded to live boldly, love deeply, and never take the life for granted, because it's not a game, it's a ride.

Meshuggah-Nuns!
Book, Lyrics and Music by Dan Goggin
May 1, 2, 3, 8, 9
The Kunkels (the poor family living behind Mount St. Helen’s School) have won the lottery and gifted the Sisters an all-expense-paid trip on the “Faiths of All Nations” Cruise. After a week at sea, the ship runs into a storm. Several people become ill, including all of the actors in the ship’s production of Fiddler on the Roof. (All except the actor playing Tevye, that is.) The captain of the ship, knowing of the Sisters’ show-biz savvy, requests that the Sisters and Tevye put on a revue. The result: Meshuggah-Nuns! The Ecumenical Nunsense.
Meshuggah-Nuns! is presented through special permission by Concord Theatricals.
