Meet the Company

Ariella Salinas Fiore

Nurse/Lady Montague/Friar John/Lady
Ariella Salinas Fiore - Nurse/Lady Montague/Friar John/Lady Ariella (she/her/ella) is super excited to be stretching her Shakespeare muscles again, especially with this funny (or sad, up to you!) version. She was last seen on this stage as part of the New Works Festival last year in Beheading Columbus. She’s one of those rare Los Angeles natives, born and raised. Acting since she was 3, she’s recently added intimacy director/coordinator to her toolbox, and was honored to serve in that regard for this production. Many thanks to Sam, the production team, and her M’s. www.ariellafiore.com

Kirsten Helen Hansen

Rosaline/ Friar
Kirsten Helen Hansen - Rosaline/ Friar Kirsten Helen Hansen is a recent graduate of the MFA program at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. She is excited to be performing Shakespeare again in front of live audiences!

Kalond Irlanda

Romeo
Kalond Irlanda - Romeo And in this corner, standing at an average height of 5'9"... originally hailing from Colorado, is Kalond Irlanda. This hopeless romantic is incredibly grateful to be here in the moment with you; he truly believes that the world needs art now more than ever. Outside of the acting world, Kalond is a True Sidereal Astrologer, a reflexologist, and a Superman fanatic. If you're a theatre buff, his favorite roles to date have been Emcee in Cabaret and Beast in Beauty and the Beast. Special shoutout to his beloved Rose, "for life without her would be a world with no Sun."

Garret Kinstler

Tybalt, Paris, and Prince
Garret Kinstler - Tybalt, Paris, and Prince Garret Kinstler received a Bachelor of Fine Arts for Musical Theater from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles this past Spring. This is Garret’s first theater show since graduating and is extatic to have found such a wonderful theatre family at the Morgan-Wixson Theatre! In his free time ,away from the theatre, Garret loves working out, playing video games, watching sports, and calling his momma who lives back home in Lewiston, Minnesota!

Damian Luciano

Mercutio
Damian Luciano - Mercutio Damian is a graduate of AMDA College and Conservatory in New York City and is beyond excited to be making his Los Angeles Stage debut alongside this incredible cast and crew. He hopes the audience enjoys the final product as much as the team enjoyed the process of getting there. He also hopes he is still on stage after Act 3, Scene 1. Totally up to you guys though. No pressure.

Mirai

Juliet
Mirai - Juliet Mirai is so excited to be back on the MWT stage in this dream role with the dreamiest of dream teams! Thank you to Samantha for this opportunity, and the whole cast and crew for being so fun to play with and easy to trust on this crazy ride. Love & thanks to her real-life Romeo, Dean, who so graciously shares her with Theatre. Last seen as Kitty in MWT's The Drowsy Chaperone (Scenie Award), Mirai also produced 2021's Solo Series and Inaugural New Works Festival. Mirai is an on-camera (Scandal, Teen Wolf, Deputy) and voice over actor (hear her in an exciting videogame this Fall!) as well as an audiobook narrator. Come say hi @hi.mirai!

Branda Lock - Dramaturg Originally from the Washington, D.C. theatre region, I made the big move to Los Angeles and have since continued my acting and directing habit in the city of angels. Fortunate to have realized my vocation at a young age when I stepped onto the stage as the only kindergartner in the elementary school talent show singing "Skinny Marinky Dinky Dink". The acting, singing, and directing bug bit and ever since I've never been able to resist the joy of sharing my art on the boards.

Scenic Design and Set Dressing
Award-winning design team Melodie S Rivers and Samantha Barrios are at it again. Audiences may fondly remember the lavish Chiltern home from AN IDEAL HUSBAND or the Upper West side New York apartment in MATCH. In this show, you might get a touch of nostalgia from the marbling reminiscent of DANGEROUS OBSESSION. And hopefully coming soon, their first film collaboration in the short OPHELIA. Thank you to Bouket who joined the team to make sure that everything was safe, secure, and beautiful. Like always, there are easter eggs, can you find them all? Just remember, it's all in the details.
