Performance highlights include: A Chorus Line (Paul San Marco), The Song of the Nightingale (Bing Wen), Assassins (Leon Czolgosz), Nice Work If You Can Get It (Jimmy Winter), RENT (Benjamin Coffin III). Training: Studio ACT, Solano College ATP, SFSU. Much Love to family, friends, and this dedicated and exuberant cast and creative crew!

Matt Gibson

Matt
Matt Gibson - Matt is thrilled to be making his CCCT and West Coast debut in Sondheim on Sondheim. Having moved from the Chicagoland area two years ago, this marks Matt’s first production in four years. Favorite past roles include Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys & Dolls, Andre Thibault in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Paul in Company – all with Brightside Theatre in Naperville, IL. When he’s not singing the National Anthem for the Oakland A’s, Matt can be found playing the role of dad to his kids Maeve & Jimmy. A mountain of thanks to his wife, Kate, for taking care of everything and everyone while he was rehearsing, and to all his friends and family for coming to see the show. Proud alum of Ball State University (chirp chirp).

Kate Huizinga

Kate
Kate Huizinga - Kate is thrilled to take part in her first show with CCCT. As a performer, she has performed with the vocal ensemble Musae (San Francisco) and performed in leading roles for collegiate productions of Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito, Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld, and Weill’s Street Scene. Before moving to the Bay Area, she earned her degree in Music Education at Michigan State University. Now, Kate is a choir teacher in Albany, a career where she shares her passion of singing and helps shape the next generation of musicians. She also serves as the Vocal Music Director for the Albany High School theater program. Kate enjoys sharing life with her partner, Sam, and their rescue puppy, Pixie.

Alexis Lane Jensen

Alexis
Alexis Lane Jensen - Alexis Bay Area native Alexis Lane Jensen is a classically trained singer who is at home on many different stages, including Opera, Musical Theater and Concert, and enjoys performing a wide variety of genres of music- from Jazz, Pop and Rock to Classical, Contemporary and Cabaret. In addition to Sondheim, she is a great admirer of the music of Kurt Weill and his contemporaries, and also loves singing standards from the American Songbook. She was last seen at CCCT as Fräulein Kost in Cabaret, and recent engagements include The Nightingale (Le Rossignol) with West Edge Opera, Into the Woods with Mountain Play and Pride and Prejudice - The Musical with Ross Valley Players. Please go to www.alexislanejensen.com for more info. Enjoy the show!

LaMont Ridgell

LaMont
LaMont Ridgell - LaMont has made appearances in and around the Bay Area and most recently, made his NCTC debut with The Confession of Lily Dare. He should be a very familiar face to subscribers of Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) having been in numerous productions: Ragtime, The Secret Garden, Big River and West Side Story, to name a few. Plus headlining a holiday show specially written for CCCT. Since the pandemic, he’s been featured in award winning virtual readings and performances for Dragon Eggs Productions, TOOT Co. & The Yay podcasts. He has also headlined solo cabaret shows and will appear in an October show with Desiree Goyette. His passions are singing, swimming, watching anime, Lego building and his new “pandemic hobby”, narrating books for Audible.

Brenna Sammon

Brenna
Brenna Sammon - Brenna is pleased to be returning to CCCT after playing Guinevere in Camelot last fall. Other recent roles include Anne in A Little Night Music (Spreckles Theater), Lily in Secret Garden (Los Altos Stage), Anne in La Cage Aux Folles (San Jose Playhouse), Julie u/s in Carousel (Opera San Luis Obispo), Rosa Bud in The Mystery of Edwin Drood! (Foothill), Luisa in The Fantasticks (Tri-Valley), Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady (Pacifica Spindrift), Emily in A Christmas Carol (Hillbarn), Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Rio Theater), and Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof (Cabrillo Stage). Fun fact: Brenna has been in Sondheim’s Into the Woods four times as The Witch, Lucinda, Rapunzel, and Musical Director. Thanks to Mom, Dad, and her two cats! Website: BrennaSammon.com.

Susan Tonkin

Susan
Susan Tonkin - Susan is pleased to make her debut at CCCT, sharing the music of her favorite theater composer and lyricist – what a delight (and a challenge)! It’s been a year chock full of Sondheim for her, as her recent solo cabaret show in April at the Firehouse Arts Center featured a 8-minute medley of her favorites, and she will next appear as Beggar Woman in Sunnyvale’s (SCP) Fall production of Sweeney Todd. Recent roles include Joanne in Company (Altarena), Meg in Damn Yankees (TVRT), Suzanne in Amèlie (Masquers) and Princess Puffer in The Mystery of Edwin Drood (DVC).
